please add hand shower in the bathroom or atleast supply a bucket. it was difficult to give bath to a kid or even senior citizen with only rain shower option

Amruth was highly professional, knowledgeable and helpful. Likewise Ali.

Front office staff who checked us in (lady+others) need some training on welcoming guests at checkin.

Breakfast was outstanding local food. The best I've had in a star hotel. The staff were amazing. Location is great. The bed was comfortable, clean and perfect for our stay.

The lights in the room wouldn't turn off from the bedside control box. We had to call the technician to fix it. Regular switches would be nice, not this bedside control box.

Location was on the Main Street with attached MTR which was convenient as their restaurants are either shut down or improperly managed. It was very difficult to get food at their restaurant other than for breakfast. Front desk staff are polite and courteous but not very efficient. They are also not aware of local events and happenings and were unable to provide any valuable information relating to these.

Uncomfortable beds that kept creaking. Insufficient lighting in the bathroom. Electrical was not good - kettle was turning on and off without any manual input. Light switches were old and mostly non functional. Poor value for what we paid. Nothing luxury or boutique about it. Just a basic 3 star place to stay at

Overall it was a pleasant stay. The staff were cordial. The room,the shower all are great. The breakfast is the bet I ever had in an Indian hotel. e loved the fresh and authentic food . I will definitely come back to stay here again.

It will help to have additional pillows. But we got it immediately when we asked.

Standard rooms were slightly smaller for a family of four.

Their website initially mentioned that they will be serving Mexican, continental cuisine, but after reaching we found out that its a vegetarian hotel.

My stay at Samanvay in Udupi was excellent. The hotel is centrally located, with Shri Krishna Mutt just a short walk away and Malpe Beach only 7 km from the property—making it a convenient base for exploring the area.What truly stood out was the breakfast. It was absolutely sumptuous, featuring a delightful variety of local Udupi cuisine that was both nutritious and flavorful, rich in fiber and protein. The staff were incredibly humble and courteous throughout our stay.A special mention goes to Mr. Satish, who warmly served a variety of dosas each morning with a smile. His hospitality added a personal touch to the experience.The hotel and its staff genuinely reflect the rich culture and hospitality of Udupi. Thank you for making our stay so memorable—we can’t wait to visit again!

One area that could use improvement is the in-house dining service. The menu had limited options, and several dishes were often unavailable, which was a bit disappointing. It would be great to see more traditional local cuisine featured, especially Udupi-style meals and specialty dishes. Additionally, having facilities like a gym or swimming pool would be a wonderful addition, especially considering the warm weather in Udupi. That said, everything else about the stay was just perfect!

Hotel staff was very hospitable and friendly. They were very courteous. A well maintained boutique property for sure Breakfast and overall food, including in room dining, was excellent Location is excellent, Hotel is on main road in a posh locality and distance to shri krishna mutt is 10 minutes by auto.

This is my 5th time stay in Samanvay. I just love the place. The people the food the rooms. It's like home to me.
