Island Lodge

The location was perfect — quiet and peaceful, ideal for a relaxing getaway. The staff were very polite and welcoming, the pool was excellent, and the room was clean and tidy, which made the stay pleasant.

The bungalow had a lack of natural light, which made it feel a bit dim during the day. The soundproofing could be better, as I could hear noise from neighboring rooms, and in the mornings, music from the reception area was also quite noticeable. Additionally, although the room was clean, the furniture was old and didn’t function very well.

The hotel left a good impression.1.Check-in: We were greeted very warmly and checked in immediately as the room was already prepared. We requested an extra blanket and pillow for our child — they brought it right away without any issues.2.Room: Family room, with a balcony and a hammock that became nice relaxation spot. The balcony overlooks a beautiful garden with palm trees, offering peace and tranquility. We even spotted a giant croaking gecko on the terrace — an unexpected and amusing encounter!3.Staff: Very attentive and friendly. A nice bonus was that the staff spoke English better than in most other hotels in Vietnam, which made communication much easier.5.Restaurant: A cozy space with a view of the pool and garden.6.Pool: Clean and surrounded by greenery.

It is about time for some modernization in the rooms.

Nice & quiet. Pool is great. Simple but delicious breakfast. Staff very courteous.

Google maps doesn’t have the correct location. Lots of bugs/spider in the room if the door is left open at the wrong time of day. Noise carries in the bathrooms and through cracks/gaps.

It is an amazing stay with good location and easy to access the Ong Lang beach, restaurants nearby. It is really quiete

The property is nature with well maintainance. The breakfast is really good and sufficient. Coffee is aslo excellent, especially egg coffee. The bungalow is spaciuos and cleaned every day. Pool is stunning. Easy to access beach and restaurant nearby. Highly recommend it.

Island Lodge Phu Quoc appears to be a family run accommodation. The staff there are nice and friendly. The Lodge is located in the very remote/back streets of Ong Lang. The lodges are very neat and the pool looks brand new. The bathroom has an outdoor feel, which I personally really liked. The lodge has bikes and helmets that you can borrow for free, and also had motor bikes that you can rent. The lodge felt very secluded, which made it feel very peaceful. The lodge is also very cheap in comparison to other hotels around Ong Long.

I planned on staying here a full week however I only stayed here for two nights for the following reasons:- While staying here I was the only guest here. I’m not sure whether that was because of the time of year I chose to visit Phu Quoc (end of October), but as a solo female traveller, this made me feel quite unsettled during my stay, particularly because of how secluded the location of the lodge is - Whenever I wanted to ask a staff member a question about activities in Phu Quoc or if I wanted a taxi ordered for me, there was no staff to be seen. Although booking.com stated that they have a 24 hour service desk, there was never a staff member sitting at the front desk consistently. Staff didn’t check in with me to ask how my stay was or see if there was anything I needed, until I informed them that I was planning on leaving - As a solo female traveller, not being able to have a taxi ordered for me really impacted my ability to go out and do things at night time Another thing to bear in mind is that although they do serve breakfast, it is not a buffet breakfast (this may have been because of the fact that I was the only one there). They do serve dinner but it appears that they order their dinner menu options from other local restaurants, so the dinner food isn’t cooked fresh in their kitchen. The mattress in the room is very hard, but I have a feeling a lot of other accom options in Phu Quoc have very hard mattresses too.
