Ancarine Beach Resort

Amazing place with a clean beach and wonderful breakfast. Ms. Hien from the restaurant/bar is the nicest lady in the whole country. We want to comeback just for her to share her infectious smile and energy with my family.

It’s really secluded from everything.

An absolutely amazing stay. The hotel is peaceful, tranquil, and perfectly removed from the hustle and bustle. Every staff member, from reception to the restaurant team to housekeeping was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The property itself is beautiful, surrounded by lush greenery and a pristine, clean beach. The beachfront restaurant offers stunning views, making every meal even more enjoyable.

Leaving... It’s worth noting that the hotel is about a 15-minute walk from the nearest restaurant area, but the route is well lit and very easy to walk. For those who prefer not to walk, the hotel also offers bicycles and motorbikes, making getting around convenient and enjoyable.

We liked the staff, especially in restaurant. We liked the see and sandy beach.

We did not expect that our sea side villa will have no privacy at all. It was straight on the beach, and all the sun loungers with other people were there too.

The staff is great and location is very nice, you can watch sunsets every day

Weak Wifi, almost impossible to use

Beautiful, beachfront location. Quiet. Peaceful. The bungalows feel private. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You can easily schedule any activities you want through their front desk. The onsite restaurant is quite good and very convenient, with a beautiful setting.

It’s a little far from the main town. This wasn’t a downside for us at all as we wanted a quiet, peaceful beach location. Most of the bungalows require climbing steps, so probably not the best location for someone with mobility issues.

The property is beachfront and that's the best part. Rooms are comfortable and the washroom is quite cute with all the plants and natural light. Restaurant staff is friendly and helpful, breakfast is elaborate and the staff is always ready to serve you with a lovely smile. Services like providing beach bags, umbrella, and the bike service is also amazing. So, we had an amazing time, it's peaceful. The front desk manager guided us so nicely about the travel and activities which made it is easier for us.

I think the only downside was the room does not have intercom to call the reception or room service . We had to call them us in our phone .

The most amazing experience !! We were a family of 11 in 4 rooms. Ages 18 months to 76 years. We all had a brilliant time. Very professional and kind staff - always present with advice. They helped with advice and book tickets for the various attractions and boat trips. The unlimited breakfast and ala carte meals were of a very high standard. The rooms were very comfy and large size/spacious. It was lovely to come back to a super clean room and new towels/bedding after being out all day. The pool is very clean and good size just off the beach and there is a shower right next to it. The location of the restaurant with the waves so close is just magical. We even got the massages - totally recommend. It maybe a bit more expensive than in the town but the massages were lovely and with the relaxing sound of the waves in the background. It is about 40 mins from the airport and midway between north and south.. perfectly located. The resort itself may appear secluded - just what you need on holiday.. you will need a taxi in and out - the staff will happily organise this or grab ! The resort is not wheelchair friendly if this is something you need. I couldn't recommend this place highly enough. Don't think twice... just go for it !

The Ancarine Beach Resort is charming- especially the beach, pool and dinning area. Our bungalow was clean, nicely air conditioned and comfortable although rustic. We loved sitting on our porch and looking at the beautiful, calm sea. There are plenty of lounge chairs by the pool and beach. Swimming conditions in the ocean were excellent. The resort is a 10-15 minute drive from to town. To us, this was a benefit due to the quiet and serene location. Around the resorts are a few other hotels which serve excellent meals and there are a few little shops to purchase snacks and supplies.

This place is amazing. We had originally booked somewhere else but ended up changing to Ancarine and so happy we did.From the moment we checked in the staff made us feel so welcomed. The food at the restaurant was great, loved swimming in the pool and the outlook is so pretty. We booked a beach front bungalow as we were travelling with our 5mth old baby. Highly recommend Ancarine, we would return in a heartbeat

A little oasis nestled by the ocean! Clean, comfy and cool! Staff are absolutely brilliant as well. Total value for money too. We would highly recommend!!

The location was exceptional. The room was bigger than expected and amazing. Staff friendly, happy and helpful.

The hilly walk into the main area of ong Lang but it is what it is.

The bungalow features amazing view and the surrounding is magical, the whole resort is great and beautifully placed. Plenty of sunbeds and tropical plants. Sleeping in bungalow was fun, but after two nights a little tiring because of bathroom partly outside the bungalow and some insects in the bungalow (mostly flying ones like mosquitoes). The breakfast was good, with continental and Vietnamese dishes.

The location was the highlight of the trip - right on the beach with easy snorkeling and plenty to see in the water. It was quiet and very secluded. Our room was an easy walk to the ocean and a stunning view. The restaurant was much better than we expected and the breakfast was so good we could skip lunch. Lots of plants and greenery on the property. The staff was really friendly and helpful with whatever we needed.

These are not complaints about things we did not like, we would choose this hotel again next time we go to Phu Quoc. However, everyone is different so these are just a few things to be aware of. If we wanted to try some other restaurants we had to walk a bit. There was no nightlife at all, which was fine for us. The beds were very firm which is typical in many Asian hotels so if you aren't used to that, be aware. The WiFi was weak at times but it helped us to disconnect from work and screen time for the kids. The showers did not get hot but considering the tropical climate outside, the showers were warm enough for what we wanted.

The entire experience exceeded our expectations. It was about a 30minute Grab ride from the airport in a quieter part of the island that was just what we were looking for. We stayed in a beachfront villa and loved the easy access to the beach. The outdoor bathroom was an added bonus. Our villa, B01, was located closest to the pool which made for some noise and the pool shower was attached to the outside of our bathroom which was a little awkward at times, but didn't bother us. The breakfast buffet was lovely with fresh fruit and made to order eggs and pho. Prices for lunch/dinner were the best in the area, however you could find more inexpensive options offsite if you walk 10 minutes into "town" where we got coffees, snacks, and a bite to eat. I took advantage of the onsite "spa" and got one of the best body scrubs I've ever received. Beach and water was clean with lawn chairs always available both in the shade and sun. We had geckos in our room each night which made for an authentic experience and helped keep any mosquitos away. If you're looking for a low-key resort without too many frills and yet still a gorgeous experience, this is it. Would absolutely recommend and stay again!

There was no espresso machine or plant-based milk. Not handicap accessible.

We had an issue with our first room and they were move then happy to move us. Facilities are excellent - pool area very large and clean. snorkles and paddle boards available for free. Food at the restaurant is good and large variety at breakfast. 10 minute walk from town which has lots of restaurants + mini mart. Big shout out to Captain HIEN. Given the nature of the property there will be bugs (mosquito nets provided and bug spray available from reception). Do not stay here if you don’t like bugs.

Could feel springs in bed - probably time they upgraded.

We loved our stay at Ancarine Beach! It was a hidden paradise. Right at the beach with a wonderful view and between nature! It is a little bit away from Phu Quoc town but perfect for a 3-4 nights stay to relax and disconnect. A Grab/ Taxi to the center is only 20 minutes. The service was perfect. We would come again!
