Pros +
- Very nice hotel with large rooms and the beds are very comfortable. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We had an issue with a Vietjet flight and Khou (Harry) spent over an hour helping us with the flight. He really went out of his way. The breakfast buffet is huge with a lot to choose from. The pool area is very nice. It's in a great location with a lot of restaurants near by and the night market is just down the street.
- Dishonest Staff
- Direct access to the beach with plenty of shade and sunbeds. The pool also has adequate amount of sunbeds. View from our balcony was lovely. Very quiet during the day. Free airport shuttle and helpful staff at reception. housekeeping brought fresh fruit everyday so much so that most of it was wasted. Because we had a few issues we were given one pair of free bedroom slippers.
Cons -
- The gym could use some updating and more cardio equipment. While this isn't a big deal for many travelers, we stayed in the hotel for a week, so having access to a nice gym is important.
- We had a pair of shoes STOLEN from our room & even though a staff member & two managers promised to follow up with the housekeeping on duty on the day in question and get back to us we never received any feedback whatsoever.
- For a 5 star hotel they could and need to do better. We stayed for 1 week and in all that time were lucky enough to have 1 hot shower. The rest of the time the water was luke warm and the pressure very poor. Our room needed to be updated as the floor was warped and the shower mouldy. The bed was extremely hard and we requested a mattress topper which helped a bit. The breakfast was mediocre with little or no changes. The food was very bland, plates were piling up on the table before being cleared and they had sparrows flying around inside. The staff are poorly trained in service etiquette. No health and safety there. The guard at the entrance to the beach is very passionate about his duties and sometimes goes a bit overboard. Something that can't be helped but be aware that occasionally snakes fall out of the palm trees. We found the pool over chlorinated, causing our eyes to sting.

Very clean hotel, staff were brilliant. Very good value for money
Breakfast times could be slightly longer, but that's just being picky
Location and service were top. Gorgeous place, the garden is stunning. The have very friendly staff. The beach and restaurant are also amazing! ?
We got an upgraded room, which was great. The pool and beach were wonderful as well as the spa facilities. The location is central and convenient and the airport transport was also helpful.
Breakfast could be better - there weren't many options and we didn't really like what was there.
Just a great location for everything needed to relay and enjoy the environment.
Room cleaning was well done, but not done at a convenient or regular time. One day, we had to call reception at 5pm to get our room clean. The impact being that towels and bedding remained stail and unusable until late in the day, when finally changed. Cleaners also failed to top up shower gel. Not good enough for this class of hotel.
Direct access to the beach, good breakfast buffet, comfortable beds
It is a very bombastic hotel like a castle including roman statues in the garden and a 3-meter high Statue of Liberty (which is kind of weird for a country full of memorials of the war against the american imperialists). It is very large, from my room to the breakfast takes almost 5 minutes. Also the rooms itself are oversized: watching tv from the bed was difficult I hardly could read the subtitles! Also it took the staff several hours and 1 room change before I could watch Netflix. The wifi was not strong enough. Last but not least, the hotel and all of Phu Quoc has a lot of Russian tourists, which is quite uncomfortable given the fact that Russia is at war and invades other countries in Europe. I don’t recommend this hotel.
Well located right on the beach, clean and spacious room. Very nice pool and good SPA.It's within walking distance to everything you'd need.Though for a 5 stars there is need for improvement. the bathroom would need a bit more attention from the maintenance staff. Towels and bathrobes are a bit old.
The pool bar is a bit depressing. Hard to get serviced, you need to get the security staff to call a waiter. Hardly any service on the beach and it closes at 10PM.
Right at the beach. The beach was great and the sea was nice and warm. And a shower to rinse of the sand. Pool right there as well. Kids room was a favorite. Grounds were pretty well kept. Free ride from and to the airport. Check out Italian restaurant Camia close to the hotel. Normally I like to eat as much local food as possible, but this place is outstanding. Great staff as well.
This was one of the more expensive places we stayed at on our trip. 5 stars. Really looked forward to it. For a 5 star hotel, there's plenty of room for improvement:- Didn't like the breakfast at all. Everything was uncooled (milk, cold cuts, etc). The room is also not airconditioned. So milk was literally room temp. It's officially until 10, but by 9.15 they bring out the trashcans and cleaning spray and start cleaning around you, giving the feeling they're closing up. I know they must clean, but this can be more subtle. The coffee is terrible, made by someone that doesn't know what they're doing. One time one of the guys was refilling the spoons and cups. He has a glove on (great) and proceeded to move everything with his other hand with no glove. Touching al the spoons at the part that goes in your drink. Also all the cups he grabbed at the part your mouth touches. All and all the breakfast felt unhygienic to me because of these things.- The rooms: beds were extremely hard. When asked they said they could arrange a top mattress. Great. But it turned our they just put a blanket on top of the mattress. This is not terrible when you're in 3 stars, but this is 5 stars. Also no attention to detail, which I expect from a 5 star hotel. The brochures in the room were all curled up and looked like they should have been replaced 6 months ago. The high shelves weren't dusted. No soundproofing, so we could hear the neighbors talk. Especially through the door you can hear everything on the hallway. Telephone cords have been tied into a knot because they've been stretched out too much. One of our rooms missed one of the curtains and we had to point that out. Showering in the bathtub with a shower curtain, which also was half broken in one of our rooms. Safety box not attached to the closet.- Communication is difficult. Called reception with a very easy question and she did not understand at all.- Fabric torn in the kids room.
Great location and lovely large room. The property was clean and the pool area and access to the beach was fabulous
Location very good, pool, beach very good.breakfast buffet is very rich: lots of fruits, warmdish, desserts… coffee is terrible. room is clean but dark. as we had garden view room.
breakfast till 9 am, it is too early. daily room cleaning is also 8.30 am and if you not want so early room cleaning then they are not coming back later. staff does not speaking English.
The gardens were nice and outside of building was impressive, it was clean, pool was nice but not enough sunbeds round it, beach was nice. Location was central. Staff were friendly.
Beds were too hard, pillows uncomfortable, plug wouldn’t stay in sink, bidet didn’t work, seat on balcony was broken, these things were reported on the first day, the chair was taken away on the 5th day and never replaced. The plug and bidet problems were not fixed. It seems they put a lot of effort in the exterior however the interior could do with an update and maintenance issues addressed.
We stayed in bungalow 001. It's proximity to the pool and ocean was ideal. The enclosure also made me feel more secure.
The beautiful pool tends to attract party groups some evenings, or much later. Loud voices and loud music are not what I want. My suggestion is that the regular night security, check the pool area regularly to make sure noise is not bothering bungalow guests. Or perhaps, while minimal signage is best, perhaps added to pool rules should be rules on noise after 7 p.m.
Perfect location, private beach area with enough loungers, big room with a beautiful viewGood variety at breakfast Nice staff Good massage at the beach and at the hotel Fresh fruits in the room daily
The water in the shower could have been a little bit warmerThe mattress was too hard but we asked a top mattress and it was better
Everything, starting from location, staff (special thx to Fayz and management, Ms. Tu Tu), beach, comfy beds, rich and tasty breakfast, sunset, pool... everything...It is close to town, to restaurants, shops, easy to go whenever you want, staff is very polite and helpful, bungalows are spacious with nice interior, everyday fresh fruits. The hotel itself looks gorgeous and well maintained. Beach with sunbeds, towels, always cleaned, soft sand, and clearwater. That's my no.1 hotel in Phu Quoc for sure.
Security should have a spot by the pool and beach to maintain peace during the night. Some guests do not respect others rest time. But that's a drop in the ocean. Some more foreign language skills would be appreciated. Other than that, it was an awesome stay
Great location, very helpful staff, lovely breakfast, spotless.
Various breakfast, nice staff, good location. Shops, restaurants are close to the resort. Sunset is beautiful at the beach. There were a lot of people in the resort but during daytime it was not crowded at all.
When I was making our reservation I set here in booking that the 4 of us will travel (2 adults, 3 yo and 6 yo children), I had a confirmation for the price and that I wont need to pay extra fees there. When we checked in they charged us extra 2 million VND for the children. Someone (booking.com or the resort) made a mistake with the prices.
Location was very good, room was clean, bed clothes were good.
Sometimes cleaning in the bathroom was not thorough
Clean, but not much else.
This is a tired old hotel and not sure how it can present its self as a 5 star hotel. More 4 to 3 star. Staff not friendly did not demonstrate the basic smile or good morning.
