Everything! Superior service, food/beverage, accommodations. Great unexpected little touches such as sorbet sample on the beach every day, small snack at turn down. Personalized notes including a handwritten thank you upon check out. Highly recommend and hopefully will return soon.

Very tropical with French colonial influence. Rooms were large with nice sitting areas inside and out.

Some mold on bath tiles, stained tiles on floors, sheets had a damp, sweaty smell.

The staff were very attentive and friendly. Excellent buffet breakfast and the fine dining at the Peppertree was great . The complimentary high tea and Rum cocktail at sunset -should definitely make these available on all days

Shaving kit - poor quality for such a fine hotel .

Wonderful choice of breakfasts. Fell in love with pineapple jam and coconut yogurt, and the asian elements complimented European food perfectly. The sumptuous colonial style hotel is set in a jungle of vegetation with a perfect swimming pool and just metres away from a beautiful unspoilt beach. Staff were always wanting to help in a friendly manner. Bedroom was very comfortable and large.

From the welcome drink and service we received when we arrived to the farewell gift when we left, we have been in awe of La Veranda and cannot wait to return. All staff were outstanding and special mention to Guest Relations Manager Sam who was an absolute superstar and also to trainee Megan, Cara and Sunny who warmly greeted us every morning at breakfast. The hotel and grounds are beautiful with a stunning private beach. The rooms are traditional, well sized and cleaned immaculately every day, Staying at La Veranda really was the highlight of our trip to Phu Quoc. You are treated like family and not just a number like big chain resorts. The breakfast is both buffet with al a carte menu. All food is served fresh and well presented. It was truly faultless on all levels and all staff are an absolute credit to management. Thank you La veranda for making our holiday so memorable.

A genuine 5 star experience, first the staff from Sam our guest services manager to the every other person who looked after us, fantastic thanks team.The resort is spotless and the gardens magic, I think a heap of work but it’s so relaxed it looks and feels great.Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a proper grown-up hotel resort.

Not the best beach but that’s partly down to the time year, having said that the resort has put on a free shuttle to Sao Beach which is postcard.

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful hotel and hope we will return in future. We loved the style of the house, and our room. The staff were delightful and always happy to help or chat. Breakfast was tasty and varied. Dinners at The Pepper Tree were delicious and well worth making a reservation for. The pool and the beach were very relaxing and well kept.

This is a remarkably tranquil hotel with lovely gardens down a fascinating old road just off the and very busy high street which has plenty of shops and restaurants

The staff were particularly helpful, especially Sam who found a Grab taxi for us to get to the airport on Liberation Day when none appeared to be available.

Our stay at this hotel was absolutely perfect! It felt like stepping into a movie set depicting the luxurious life of the early 19th century, seamlessly blended with all the modern technological conveniences we enjoy today. The atmosphere was truly enchanting, allowing us to fully embrace the feeling of being on vacation and to truly relax.What truly stood out was the exceptional service provided by the staff. They went above and beyond to ensure that every guest, including us, had the best possible experience. Their dedication and attention to detail were remarkable. Good food, cooking class

They did not check our departure flight before sending us off to airport. We could have relaxed longer in hotel. Our flight is now 3 hours delayed

Beautiful building, lovely pool and very friendly and accommodating staff. Fun to be able to walk to the local shops and bars.

Bathrooms were a little basic but fine for the price. So loved the general feel of the hotel, I just wished the sea was a little clearer and it didn’t have such grotty next door neighbours. There was a VERY loud bar on one side and what looked like an abandoned nightclub on the other. It’s a beautiful hotel that belongs somewhere else, a real rose amongst thorns. If you’re sensitive about noise (I confess, I am, even hate music around a pool) this is not for you. Also not for young families - our teens are great with board games on rainy days but if you have younger or more active kids I’d suggest a bigger hotel. Great for pool lovers who aren’t fussed about the beach. And the breakfast on the wraparound first floor balcony is gorgeous.

The grounds and colonial restaurant/bar are beautiful

Our room no.102 had at least 7 issues that let it down as a five star hotel. Cracked tiles in the shower and mould on the grouting being the worst two.Breakfast at £25 each is extortionate for Vietnam and beware the spa, a basic 1hr massage starts at £65 whereas across the road Mango Spa did a fantastic 90 min hot stone massage in lovely setting for a quarter of the price.

A beautiful hotel with lovely, friendly, efficient staff. An excellent pool and clean beach area with plenty of sunbed options.We had a garden room and stayed 6 nights and loved our stay.

This was my second time staying. I feel very happy there - the breakfast is amazing (the pho and the Vietnamese coffee and yogurt), the staff are very kind, the hotel grounds are beautiful (all the moringa and jasmine). The yoga and meditation and wellness classes were very valuable to me. I appreciated the kindness of so many staff members - Khoi, Tuyet, Sam, Patrick, Ms Tu. There were many more. I was glad that you added more wellness classes - it's one of the reasons I returned and I found them very meaningful. I also loved the facial. Thank you for everything. I hope I can come back next year.

The hotel is beautiful and very clean with a few minutes walk to the Main Street with bars and restaurants. Also very clean beach area and nice pool area. The standout is the staff, all very friendly and enthusiastic, everything we asked for was accommodated with a smile. The food and the cocktails in the restaurants were delicious.

The breakfast was very good with loads of Vietnamese foods, juices, fruit, cakes and egg, pancake, waffle and crepes station. $25 per person is a bit expensive though especially in Vietnam. Not an issue if included in the rate however.

We had a wonderful time at La Veranda and wished we had stayed longer. The gardens around the resort are beautiful, so lush and well maintained. They make the resort feel private. Our ocean villa was great. The room was clean with a nice outside sitting area and view of the beach from your bed. The bathroom was a good size with double vanity, large shower and bathtub. Was nice to relax by the pool and beach on the sunbeds.Food and drinks at the hotel were delicious but a little overpriced.

Just keep in mind when booking - if you struggle with stairs, there is no lift up to the restaurant for breakfast or where they serve their fine dinning dinner.

Stunning property with beautiful buildings, lovely pool and nice beach setting. Staff were excellent and food delicious. Loved how green it was. Rooms also beautiful

Our second stay here and we came back for a reason... exceptional staff, facilities and food.. would highly recommend a stay!

This is a gorgeous hotel. We arrived and didn't want to leave the property for anything. We relaxed, ate, and relaxed some more. The beach was perfect, the pool even better. I did yoga, rum tasting and was treated to a fabulous massage. You will want to extend your stay.
