    Pros +

    • The room was beautiful. It was very easy to get around. Love the pool area and breakfast was amazing!
    • The rooms were nice, and the resort is very unique as river flows through the resort. They checked us in early. Nice pool
    • It was quiet and a short walk to the beach ,but NOT beach front as stated in booking.com advertising.

    Cons -

    • The villas could use some basic supplies like silverware and glassware.
    • The internal lake was smelly at low tide and had rubbish floating around in it
    • Ground floor of the villa was a bit awkward. Private pool was cold and I expected it to be more outdoors than it was. Other units had hammoks but not ours. The gym was really poor. Amazing location and view tho.

Really good AC in the bedrooms. Comfortable rooms.

    The bed was very comfortable

The room is narrow. One can’t walk past the bed with the closet door open

Koi resort Hoi an is a really amazing resort! The location is perfect, on the lake and right next to one of the most beautiful beaches. The pool was perfect and the staff was amazing! The fact that there’s an adult only pool was very impressive and allowed us to have great time with and without our children at times. Overall, we had a great time staying in Koi and we highly recommend the place.

The gym was pretty basic. They don’t serve coffee by request (cappuccino) in the breakfast, which is something that any other 5 star hotel we’ve been to in Vietnam does provide.

We loved the pools, our villa, breakfast was great and the staff were lovely.

Housekeeping could have been a little more attentive!

Stunning traditional decor. Staff so friendly and accommodating. Easy access to beach. Free shuttle to old town. Restaurant overlooking the lagoon and pool at night is gorgeous.

There was no shower in our room, just a freestanding bath with a shower head at bath tap level. A bit tricky to wash your hair! Otherwise everything was perfect.

The main pool was excellent and the ready stack of towels at all times made it easy. The staff were all exceptional and willing to assist. Access to the beach across the road was great, again with resort towels and beds was very accessible. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and kept us going until dinner. Whilst staying, we were able to take a plate of food back to our room for a member of our group who was feeling unwell.

The description stated that there was a fully equipped kitchen - there was three sets of plates for a six person villa. The microwave did not work and there was no running hot water in the kitchen. No pots, no pans, no knives, no stove. Essentially no kitchen. There was a large fridge however. The spa was not easy to navigate in terms of use, nor did they fully make you feel welcome by withholding information or simply feeling like they would like you to move on. The pool at the spa with swim up bar (which was never in operation) was supposedly only for adults - handy to know beforehand if travelling with children. Whilst a lovely spot and at one time would have been exceptional, the buildings are showing their age, particularly our pool villa. Inadequate waterproofing saw paint and plaster falling from walls, and no drain in the area to get out of the pool meant there was a puddle inside if you chose to swim in your unheated private pool.

A lovely french influence set in such a lovely setting with a lake in the middle. The location was not far from the old town, only a short taxi ride away. The hotel does provide a free shuttle which was fantastic. Breakfast provided with a huge selection to suit all. Just a beautiful tranquil place. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Surf beach just across the road.

    I liked everything.

-Breakfast was good, but still lacked some basic items.-We were able to arrange a late check-out (but there were complications with that as well...)

-Rooms are small. Beds are small, 2 people don't fit comfortably on a double mattress bed.-The shower situation is atricious. No shower curtain so water is just going everywhere. The shower head holder is just wobbling around.-We were supposed to be greeted with a fruit basket, but weren't. And when we asked reception, they came up with an excuse that it is for long-term guests, which is funny especially after the receptionst at check-in also said we were gonna be greeted with it.-The pool is open at a laughable 6pm.It seems like little things, but at a 5 star resort these things matter in my opinion and kinda ruined the stay to be honest.

Great location, beautiful hotel and great setting…staff were absolutely exceptional and could not do enough to make your stay memorable. Close to the centre of Hoian which is a wonderful area with lots of great restaurants and activities. The resort also offers we a free shuttle into Hoian and can organise a taxi to Danang which is around 30-40 minutes away.

The Koi resort and spa hotel was a wonderful resort. extremely well laid out and beautifully maintained. The resort offered a shuttle service to town and back. The room was well appointed with an interesting layout which worked well. the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, Nothing was too much trouble! they were delightful.

    there were no negatives!

I booked this hotel deliberately for early check in and late check out. When I contacted the hotel to check times, it turned out to be 1pm check in and 1230 check out! That is not helpful. When I tried to explain this, the hotel couldn't understand the issue. Just saying they were fully booked so we needed to go.You can hire bikes at the resort to cycle around. I thought this would be great for my children. What they don't tell you is you have to be 13 years old to be allowed on the bike, however they let one of my children rent a bike but not the other. Neither are 13!! It spoilt it for them as they couldn't bike ride together. Again, another reason why I picked this hotel. The rooms are really dark and the view from the room is non-existent. I booked a garden view. That means a step of grass outside that faces directly into the next rooms. Housekeeping used our terrace as a walkway whilst they were cleaning rooms, which was so disruptive. It is miles from the Old Town. One night we couldn't even get taxis to the town so we were stuck. The food is super expensive and not very nice so we had a rubbish evening trying to find somewhere else to go. We stayed in a hotel before here on this holiday, that was £20 a night. It was absolutely perfect and they couldn't do enough for us. This hotel is not the case so you certainly don't get what you pay for. They smile and nod but don't do anything and their level of English is really poor (given the rating of the hotel.)With the amount of hotels in Hoi An I really would avoid this one.

The breakfast selection was great and the staff were generally attentive. The pool was freezing but nice once the sun came out, the pool bar was good, with a good selection of cocktails and snacks.

We felt the rooms were a little small for us. We had 4 of us in the room and requested 2 twin beds (which are normally big enough) but they really weren't! Our son slept on the floor! Our children are 10 and 7. It would have been nice to have seating outside. It would have been good to have somewhere to hang wet clothing/swimwear as we were 'told off' for hanging it over the railing of our room but where else to dry it?! We ate dinner in the Chopsticks restaurant the first night and regretted it, it cost a lot and I sent back my dinner as it was inedible, they didn't charge me for it and apologised but we didn't eat there again!

Nice property lovely gardens rooms spacious with huge bath. Staff very friendly & accommodating. Good variety of meals offered for breakfast & room service. 10-15mins into town with hotel shuttle or Grab.

Not enough pool chairs . Beach across the road dirty

There was no hot water in our room during our stay. We asked them to fix it, but it never got above just barely warm
