- We stayed here for 3 nights, it was fantastic, the couple who own the home are so helpful and kind, they went above and beyond. We were invited to bbq’s every night, breakfast was great, and had veggie options! The room was perfect and clean with AC. The home itself is a 2 minute walk to the beach, the owner arranged a private coconut boat tour to another beach! They also arranged bikes for our bags to be delivered to the port as we walked there!
- Mr Man (our host) was very responsive from the time we booked our accommodation. Took initiative in arranging ferry booking to the island. He arranged a scooter and it was ready at the pier when we arrived. It’s a simple island so expect simplicity and basics. Value for money ? Felt at home and taken care of.Cong Man Homestay is at the end of the smaller village which is peaceful and relaxing. Restaurants and shops nearby. Mrs Man is a sweetheart, her enthusiasm and smile and caring nature was heartwarming. The local shop next door (lovely lady “Thoi”) was our tea and coffee hangout. Met locals and exchanged stories with them through translator. Fun loving group of locals there.Loved the whole island. Unfortunately had to leave few days earlier than planned as weather was getting bad and ferries being cancelled. Would love to visit and stay for longer.
Cons -
- Was told it was ensuite ,had to walk through kitchen/laundry to access bathroom we think we were sharing with the hosts as it was there bedroom they had given us , there clothes were still hanging in the wardrobe Was over priced for the quality of the room/property
- We actualy got a problem with the reservation. The family told us, they busy and moved us for one night to different place. which of course is not something you looking for. Apart from that all was OK.

Cung and his family are very welcoming and generous. You will live with his beautiful family and have great food. A very memorable experience :)
Great hosts, spacious room, balcony, delicious food, Wi-Fi 50+ Mbps (down-stream and up-stream). I came without any expectations and stayed for extra few days. Cham Island is a nice place just to do nothing or to live and work as I did. And I think it's even better off-season, without crowds. I went almost every day to Stone Giant Beach to splash and to have my coconut, then took coffee on the main street of Bai Huong village and then had a home-made dinner. Communication is the key since hosts don't speak English. So, open Google Translate and don't be shy to ask -- for coffee, fruit or even lobster. Another bonus is a nice Buddhist temple just in front.
Good and quiet locationnice family - always trying to help you
We actualy got a problem with the reservation. The family told us, they busy and moved us for one night to different place. which of course is not something you looking for. Apart from that all was OK.
I beloved the position that was quiet place and great to relax. The AC was a bit stupid even the bathroom was separated and used at the ground of house. However, we were pleasure and appreciate by limiting of Island.Homi should improveAll of we liked Huong Beach where was beautiful and lovely red flowers. Btw, we had the memories to save.

I liked everything: the room, the hosts, the bbq they cook every evening (a variety of seafood, it was very tasty). And nearby is a private beach with amazing views and the beauty of the underwater world.
Big and comfy beds.Super helpful hosts.Great home cooked food. They helped us with medicine when our daughter got sick.
Very Nice location and lovly family. Tje bbq on the beach was very jummy. All very ni e. The room simple but very good matras and had à good sleep I one week.
What a wonderful end to my Vietnam holiday. I highly recommend staying with the Cong Man family. They went above and beyond to make sure I had a nice stay. They put up with me asking a million questions before I arrived, made me delicious vegetarian food and even took me to see the north side of the island. The village is so peaceful. Definitely do the basket boat around the cove to go snorkeling. It was exactly what I needed after several days in Hoi An. I feel refreshed.
Everything! The location is incredible and is a two minute walk from the nearest beach. An absolutely lovely family who are very accommodating and even got a scooter delivered to us for rental. They also hosted a fantastic bbq from the fresh seafood caught locally on the beachfront.
Bed super comfortable, good sized room with en-suite. lovely shared terrace to sit out and read. Quiet pretty location behind a temple. With good air con. Had a very romantic bbq seafood supper by the sea, set up by Mr Cong. recommend and return.
Mr and Mrs Cong don’t speak much English and we didn’t establish any prices for fishing, seafood supper etc until we paid the bill. Would advise establishing a price before so you are aware of the costs.
Amazing family, very friendly. They came and picked us up from the ferry port and dropped us off. Location is lovely, away from the main town and very peaceful. Bed was super comfy, breakfast was lovely too (happy to cook for vegetarians).
I very much enjoyed Mrs Man's spirit - a very happy person and ready to help their guests. She cooked dinner for us in the evening. The island does not have great quality of the infrastructures, so the homestay was good if compared to the average. They offered us take-away breakfast (egg banh mi) which was very convenient. Mrs Man and Mr Cong communicated with the boat on a day in which the wind was strong for our return, to assure we would get back to Hoi An. Without their help, we would have missed it because the boat company changed the departure time last minute.
There was a misunderstanding with Mr Cong at our pickup because it was not clear that we had to rent a motorbike to get to the homestay (which costs 200kVnD per day) - or that we should take a moto-taxi for 60kVnD per person. But he picked up our two trolley bags in his motorbike for free. The communication was a bit difficult because we had to use google translate almost all the time. Bookingdotcom's translation is also inconsistent. However, on the island very few people speak English so this is ok.As a suggestion, they could offer a mop to wipe the water from the toilet (as every time it is used the floor gets flooded).
Amazing placeSo beautifulGreat location great breakfastBeautiful welcoming people lovely family
Comfy beds and clean room. Hosts were lovely, helped us book the ferry tickets and organize activities on the island. Made sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast was simple but delicious.
Since we love to sleep late in the morning, the noise from the kitchen was a bit annoying, but its a homestay and we are used to vietnamese people waking early and the rooms not being very soindproof. Another minor issue, we had some stormy days so the windows and doors were making a lot of noise at night, we stuffed them with tissues and that helped.
Great family and a great place to stay. Everyone was very helpful and always ready to organise something (e.g. fishing trip, roller rental). The location was great too. Personally, from the two villages on the island, I think this one is much more beautiful. It has more of an island character, while the other village feels more like a harbour.
The quality for this price is wonderful, everything is new, clean, with espace in the room. Near the beach, with great people !
The room was neat and tidy as was the bathroom! The family was lovely and welcomed us into their home, they prepared lovely seafood for us each night per what we requested, great stay :)
