Location, people and amazing breakfast

Comfortable room, excellent view, and excellent location.

We could hear Plumbing noise Wen folks in other rooms were taking a shower.

In hindsight, I'm glad we switches hotels. This one is just outside the heart of Hoi An (and I mean by a few blocks). The heart of the city is just a zoo. It's crazy busy and loud and I'm glad we weren't right in the middle of it. It's walkable so you can get to the action but quiet when you want out. Views from the (upper) rooms and rooftop lounge and pool are exceptional too. The lobby and other areas are airy and chic.

Compared to other comparable hotels we stayed at on this trip (we aimed for 5-star hotels) I would say the breakfast offering was not in the top grouping. It was nice but not great. I will say that we had upset stomachs those few days we were in Hoi An so perhaps that affected our opinion of the breakfast? It looked good and varied. But I had no appetite!

We had an amazing stay at this hotel with truly exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond, calling us by name and making us feel genuinely special throughout our stay. We were there for our honeymoon, and they surprised us by decorating our room, which made the experience even more memorable. We loved spending time at the rooftop bar, and the breakfast options were incredible every morning. The beds were also very comfortable, making it the perfect place to relax after a day of traveling. We can’t recommend this hotel enough.

The size of the corner king suite was enormous. Breakfast was excellent. The view from room was great. And the location was excellent - short walk to Old Town.

No hot water on day of arrival. Traffic outside gets a little noisy.

Hotel Royal Hoi An is a beautiful hotel located on the Bon River within walking distance to the Ancient City. What makes this hotel special is the professionalism of the staff. The Hotel Royal Hoi An is a beautifully maintained hotel. The rooms are large and luxurious. The beds are comfortable. We had a King room with a view of the Bon River. The hotel offers an extensive, delicious breakfast. I would also like to recommend the Woosah Spa located in the hotel. I had two 90 minute massages with the excellent Lien and my husband had a 90 minute massage with Hoa. A huge shout out to Vy, Nguyet at the front desk, the bellmen, excellent wait staff at breakfast and the wonderful bartenders in the lounge. We also took the hotel’s Vietnamese coffee making class where we were introduced to Vietnamese coffee beans, phin and seven different kinds of Vietnamese coffee.

The location is excellent - just steps away from the nightly lantern experience on the river. The breakfast was good with a range of choices for all palates. The roof top pool & bar was a great place to relax after sightseeing. The ability to use the beach facilities at their sister hotel was also a nice, unexpected perk.

Room was spacious and comfortable. The balcony added to the enjoyment of great views of the river and township. The breakfast was very good with a changing variety of cold and hot dishes each morning of our stay. A nice touch is the individual fresh ground coffee with hot milk added! All the staff were very courteous and helpful. Hotel is just a short walk from the ancient town centre, and well away from some of the noisier establishments closer to the town centre.

Excellent Service and Great ExperienceI had an issue with my room at first, but the hotel staff — including the manager — went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and well taken care of. They quickly arranged a new room and checked in to ensure everything was perfect. Thanks to their professionalism and kindness, the service was truly outstanding, and our stay turned out to be very pleasant. Highly recommended

Amazing rooms, great pools, 2 blocks from night life.

Only thing I think was a bit dangerous was get out of the pool on ground floor. Did see a few people slip. Maybe a ladder at one end?

The friendly atmosphere and welcoming nature of the staff! Especially those who worked in the breakfast area and the Spa! Always greeted with a smile and would go out of their way to ensure a flawless experience! By far one of the best 4 nights I’ve spent on a vacation in a long time! Can’t wait to return!

We had such a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location was perfect for exploring the area—whether walking or biking—and every member of the team was so kind and welcoming. Both pools were fantastic, always stocked with towels, and made for a relaxing way to spend our afternoons.The breakfast buffet offered a nice variety of options, and our room overlooking the lower pool was lovely, with excellent air conditioning. The front desk staff went above and beyond, even keeping us updated when a package we were waiting for arrived, which was so helpful.Between the prime location and the thoughtful amenities, this hotel is truly a perfect choice. We also loved that we were able to visit their sister property on the beach—it was such a nice bonus to enjoy some time by the water before returning to the city.

We had a wonderful stay overall, but I did notice a couple of things that could be improved. One was the bathroom door—it only stayed shut if it was locked, which wasn’t ideal. Also, while our room was absolutely lovely, I hadn’t realized there were two different color palettes. The room we stayed in featured darker red and black tones, while many of the photos online showed a brighter blue and white style, which is more my personal preference. It didn’t take away from our experience, but I thought it was worth mentioning.The hotel itself was beautiful and welcoming, and we truly enjoyed our time there.

Obsessed with this hotel! wonderful stafff - incredible location. Would recommend to anyone visiting Hoi An! And certainly do a food tour in this city. It was a highlight.

Staff were great. I especially note Nghia (sp?) who was helpful even before we arrived and also later, e.g. in booking restaurants and ensuring best seating.

We really liked most of it. Gym could be refreshed maybe. Breakfast was great, but not as good as our previous hotel (Sofitel Saigon)
