Wyndham Royal Beachfront Resort & Spa Hoi An Danang

Room was gorgeous; everything was updated and clean. Breakfast buffet was spectacular.

The beach closes at 6 PM sharp and the pool closes at 7 PM. The pool front restaurant had terrible service, it took over an hour for our food to arrive which felt unacceptable for a 5 star hotel.

The property has direct access to beach.

We booked a villa but service was very poor.

Comfortable apartment for our needs; two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. Comfy little living room.

A massive resort experience - frantic feeding frenzy at breakfast with slightly irritated staff, not that you can blame them. We had a blocked drain in one bathroom’s shower that we informed the front desk about on the first night. They told us it was fixed while we were out - it wasn’t. We informed them again and again it wasn’t fixed. We booked the Boxing Day set menu at the restaurant. Exceptionally awful experience in terms of ambience and food. I did complain and was contacted by the guest experience manager. After explaining in detail our grievances he agreed that we would be given a refund. This apparently takes 35-45 days to process (!!!!), we have also not been given a confirmation that this refund has been processed, and so we are still waiting…

Beautiful, modern, clean, spacious

Delicious breakfast, probably the best on our whole trip to Vietnam. Great Friendly staff, very helpful.

Location is bit average to be honest, bit too far from everywhere, but will stay again given the chance.

Breakfast was nice.

My spa voucher could not be used. Many confused staff workers. Spa staff was coughing the whole time I had a massage. She did not wear a mask. Bar tender was also coughing a lot.

Great value for money. Lovely staff. Great location with direct beach access. Spacious rooms and great little seafood restaurant next door (called 768). Lots of entertainment: pool, two heated pools, ping pong, bicycles, fussball, football, basket ball, volleyball.

Bathroom did not have walls. Curtains were not fully blackout

Beach is beautiful and quiet

While we paid the resort directly at checkout, getting a proper invoice was incredibly difficult. The front desk staff incorrectly insisted that Booking.com was responsible for issuing it. After I spent time calling Booking.com, they confirmed that since the resort collected the payment, the resort must provide the invoice. It took a lot of unnecessary back-and-forth communication to finally resolve this. This seems to be a staff training issue that caused a frustrating delay.

The ocean villa (V40) and kids pool was great.

The kids club was disappointing.

Fantastic stay at Wyndham Hoi An. Our Villa was amazing very stylish, clean and comfortable. Happily stay there again!

The location and the amenities were great! Service was wonderful.

Lack of free filtered water. Restaurant menu lacked gluten free options. Breakfast buffet was great but menu for dinner was limited.

The resort is 3 mins walk from the beach however we just stayed and enjoyed the pool and services. Our room is quiet big with the separate sink to wash bottles and mugs which is convenient to family with little baby like us. The breakfast buffet is wonderful (6.30-10.30 am) with wide range of selection. Chef Nguyện and his staffs not only make us tasteful dishes but also satisfy all our requires to our room. The kid club is not too big but safe even for little baby under 1. Ms Vy and Chinh at kid club are friendly to kids, they are able to help to babysit your kids for a while if they are 3 years old and older. My baby got injured before playing there, Ms Vy also called the nurse to come wash her wound.All the staffs are polite and kind, I could not ask for a better service for family leisure.Highly recommended.

The resort is visually stunning when I first arrived, I was genuinely impressed. The design is beautiful, the grounds are clean, and the overall vibe feels luxurious. It definitely gives a strong first impression

But once I settled in, the issues started showing. The biggest problem was the noise: loud construction started early and didn’t stop until around 5 PM. I barely got any sleep and felt exhausted most of the time. I asked to switch rooms, but the staff wouldn’t accommodate, which made things worse.Another issue: anything I needed — food, items, etc.—required me to walk all the way to the main gate to pick it up. It was far and inconvenient, especially in the heat. Not what you expect at a resort where you go to relax.Also, they mentioned bottled water was free, but I was charged for it at checkout. Small thing, but it felt misleading

The beach was nice

The will try to charge you for everything, when you check in and when you Chek out, one of my worst stays in we had to argue with the staff on everything.Their is no night service available, the hotel staff is nice.

Great hotel right on the beach. New and clean rooms. We stayed at the 3 bedroom suite and it was lovely and spacious. Breakfast was really tasty with so many options and chance to try Vietnamese coffee. Pools were nice and beach was big and clean. Poolside bars were good and had good drinks and fresh coconut. Free bicycles were fun!

Lobby was underwhelming and didn’t feel like a 5 star hotel. Construction was continuing on the other tower and it felt like an unfinished hotel. There were two lobbies and it was confusing! The other lobby was nicer but check in was not handled there. There were fire ants at the beach volleyball area and my kids’ feet were bit.

The breakfast was great. Lots of options and little changes were made each day so it felt a bit different. Very nice breach and two massive pools and lots of loungers. The rooms are nice but worth paying a bit more as the standard rooms have toilets and showers together so the toilet area will definitely get wet once you shower. Also the sliding door that separates the bathroom from the rest of the room doesn’t fully close which bothered my husband.We paid for an upgrade and the deluxe has separate toilet and shower and the doors fully closed! It’s a 10 min cab ride from Hoi An old town but cabs are so cheap and we didn’t mind getting away from the hustle and bustle of the old town.

Have bathroom doors that close. That would be a good start!
