Hoi An Ancient House Resort & Spa

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, they had great amenities like the noodle making classes and umbrellas along with the shuttles to the old ancient town. Bath tub was great for a bath.

Would have liked to see some accessibility considerations since my stepdad is of low vision.

Ancient House was everything we expected. Nice accommodations and amenities and a good breakfast. What stood out most was the people, and especially Minh. Minh was incredibly gracious and thoughtful throughout or stay and made us feel at home. He went above and beyond to make sure that we were enjoying our time. It was a pleasure to get to know him. Of all the people we met on our travels through Vietnam, Minh stood out as the most exceptional.

The resort is beautiful with its own ancient house. It's like 20 minutes walk from the old town but they offer shuttle service at specific times. The room is so nice, clean, and cozy. Will definitely come back and highly recommend for a nice retreat.

The lower room's view got blocked by the tree and ancient house. Suggest getting upper level rooms if you want a clean view of the garden and pool. Breakfast was too simple to my liking but some dish were tasty.

A great place with a with a peaceful atmosphere, beautiful garden and pool area, as well as beautifully designed houses.Very generous breakfast – great location suitable for short or long bicycle tours to beaches and paddy fields. Would like to come back.

Reasonably central location. Nice gardens and pool. The bus service to the beach and to the old town was also good.

We had a bit of a scare as our room was nearly lost 24 hours prior to arrival (although they did manage to recover the situation and we got our room back). Whilst these things happen - we had booked 6 months ago - so were not expecting this.

A lovely Hotel not far from the Old town. The food was very nice. The breakfast had local and continental food. We had lunch og evening meal at the hotel a couple of times and it was really good. All the staff were very kind and very helpfull.The pool was clean and in nice surroundings. We can highly recommend this nice smallere hotel. We were really well looked after.

- The building is beautiful, like staying in a traditional house! - The bathtub is great! There was no problem with hot water. (I stayed a few places with a bath tub in my room, and they sometimes don’t have enough hot water and I couldn’t bathe.) - There was no protein for vegans at the breakfast buffet, but the staff/chef was willing to cook my tofu. (I bought it myself.)- The happy hour cocktails were tasty! (The price is around 150k.)- There towels at the pool, so I didn’t have to bring it from my room.

- There only a few vegetarian/vegan dishes at the restaurant. - The receptionists offered a different price for a taxi to the airport. The first one said it would be 400k and the second one said 450k.

I stayed 4 nights and really enjoyed it. The rooms are set in beautiful gardens. I had a balcony - if you have a terrace you might have less privacy as the doors open onto the communal areas. The room was lovely and spacious. The balcony was not huge and the chairs were not comfortable but the view was lovely. Breakfast was great with a wide variety of food. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I organised a cooking class through the hotel which I really enjoyed. Ming did a tour of the rice paper factory in the grounds which was very interesting. It is about a 15/20 min walk to the old town which I liked as it was bustling. The river is very close as well. Would definitely recommend.

It was set in a beautiful garden and a short drive to the old town. There was a great shuttle service to take you into town or to the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were large.

The family that runs this place is extremely nice. They will go out of their way to help you. The Location is beautiful, in the middle of the fields and mountains, also a 5mnts walk to the Tam Coc centre.

The downstairs room can be a bit too humid and dark (entrance doors are basically the only windows), so better book a room upstairs.

Staff were very welcoming and informative from the moment we arrived. We booked to do massages 2 days in a row within the hotel because we enjoyed it so much. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and every morning we found the breakfast to be very varied and value for money.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. Special thanks must go to Minh who spoke to us every day to check we were happy with our stay and see if there was anything additional he could do. Rooms are clean and spacious. The buffet breakfast has lots of choice and is regularly topped up.The hotel is in a quiet location (apart from the cockerels) about a 20 minute walk from the old town. The hotel does offer a shuttle service but we preferred to walk. We took the shuttle bus to the beach one day. There are shops, bars and restaurants near the hotel but, seeing the lit lanterns and boats in the old town at night is not to be missed.

I loved my stay here. When I arrived the staff helped me with my bags and gave me a welcome drink of passion fruit juice. The ladies at reception in particular were so friendly, which made me feel very welcome especially as I was travelling on my own. The team working at breakfast were also great! Breakfast itself was delicious, with a lot of different options to choose from. And my room was clean, very comfortable, and spacious! Would recommend.

The staff is attentive and very helpful. The rooms are clean, and the atmosphere is peaceful and lush, making it perfect for a private getaway. The breakfast is delicious with a variety of options. The location is convenient for traveling to different attractions, and there is a shuttle service to places like the Old Town and the beach. One of the things I really liked was the rice paper-making workshop.

There may be some mosquitoes and a slight smell of smoke at certain times of the day.

The hotel is beautiful. The staff are always smiling and making sure that you have everything you need. Pool is great. Room is very large. Breakfast Buffet is awesome. Minh, the customer relations person is so helpful. My wife and I were sick for most of our stay and he made sure that we had food and support. The housekeeping staff would also make sure that our room and bedding were clean everyday even though some days we could not leave the room. They treated us like family. The location is great as it is a little way from the old town so it is nice and quiet. They have a shuttle that wil take you to town, it is only a 15-20 min walk, or to the beach. You WILL be empressed with the resort.

This was my second trip to this hotel my first being 2019. It was just as lovely this time as the first time. We liked everything - gardens, staff, food, room, service. Just a very charming hotel. There is a shuttle bus to the riverside or beach but it’s not far to the town and taxis are very cheap. There are shops and bars around the hotel too.

We loved this hotel, very clean and in the perfect location. Just outside the Old Town and a shuttle bus is provided many times a day , also to the beach which is close as well . The pool was big and ample sunbeds and poolside cocktails were lovely Friendly staff always on hand for any situation esp Minh who very was so helpful The breakfast was tasty and always fresh with a delightful setting overlooking the lush gardens . Our room was really big with a magnificent free standing bath. We would love to return here as it was everything we needed .
