Villa Cha-Cha Salad Beach Koh Phangan

Clean rooms with comfortable beds and soft pillows (hard to come by in Thailand). Our family room was a stones through from the beach, which was great.

Lots of young kids that frequently would make noise in their balcony’s late at night. Not necessarily the staff’s fault, but it would be nice if they would ask people to be quite outside after 22:00. Pool wasn’t open when we were there :-(

Great staff, friendly welcoming and helpful. Out room was located right next to the pool and beach, theres also a bar and restaurant right next to it and massage. Very comfortable room and balcony, big showers and clean.

Close to the beach , friendly staff , close to bike rental

We liked the position of the property in the bay. Quieter from main beach walking distance to everything that you need.

I didn’t like paying the VAT on all purchases made from the bar and restaurant. However I found out when at airport if you get receipt from stay you can claim this back but the line is long. So make sure you factor that in should you want to claim your VAT.

It is close to the beach and small shops

Dinners and lunches were lovely. Breakfast wasn't the best.

Service was quite slow and took forever for anyone to come and take away our lunch plates when finished.

Location on the beach is beautiful. Very family friendly. This is our second time returning, prices have gone up understandably. Lunch and dinner is always amazing. Breakfast is acceptable.

Avoid Villa Cha-Cha, Haad Salad Beach – Not Worth the PriceOur stay at Villa Cha-Cha in Koh Phangan was a major letdown. What’s advertised as a 4–5 star experience turned out to be anything but.From the moment we arrived, the reception staff were cold and unhelpful. We weren’t asking for much — just basic courtesy and a smooth check-in — but were made to feel like an inconvenience.The facilities were disappointing for the price. There wasn’t even a proper coffee machine on site — only instant coffee — and food was overpriced and forgettable. We paid nearly 500 THB for a simple fried rice that wasn’t worth it. Room service was slow and inconsistent, and getting essentials like water or room cleaning felt like pulling teeth.A particularly upsetting moment was when we needed transport to the hospital for a family member, and the staff showed no sensitivity — placing her in the back of a pickup truck with no consideration for comfort or safety.Even when we asked for a lower room due to mobility concerns, we were quoted extra charges, despite the hotel clearly not being full. Check-out was just as unfriendly, with threats of extra fees for being a few minutes late.To top it off, the location is quite isolated — there’s nothing nearby, not even a 7/11, which is at least 2–3 km away.All in all, Villa Cha-Cha relies on good photos and a nice beach, but the actual experience is frustrating and far from hospitable. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The hotel was amazing located right on the beach very quiet and relaxing would definitely stay again

Rooms are old, heavy smell of mold in the room, low steam power in the shower, restaurant is very expensive

We were just very lucky with the room. Second floor, view to the sea and pool. Stunning sun set view. Place is clean. Pool is a little small, but works. It is far from island hot spots, so you need a scooter or taxi service. You will find local shops and restaurants near by though. Can not comment breakfast nor restaurant because we didn't eat there. Beach is OK. It just has very few options to find a shade and too many boats close to the beach. Otherwise calm and relaxed beach.

Location was excellent

The hotel is very run down it's certainly not clean enough , at breakfast there were flys all over the food . Also they allowed lots of younger people stay with music very loud

First of all the location is amazing, salad beach is absolutely to die for. The bed in our room was so big and comfortable, good shower, fridge in room, lovely big balcony, overall really good! Perfect location for us, lots of bars/restaurants a short drive away, also lovely ones along the beach itself.

Very steep up / down the property which was fine for us as we hired a bike but might struggle on foot. The breakfast wasn’t the best so we only ended up having it once. Milk at the buffet was warm and not many options.

Nice and friendly staff, laundry service, room service for reasonable price

If you have the chance, take one of the many other hotels at Salad Beach.This one is right at the end of the beach, somewhat outdated The Beach lies below the hotel, you have to climb down a stone wall as there’s no real stairs to go. This issue only consists with this hotel. All the others have a nice beach access.The worst part was the smell in the room: We booked the Beach Access-Bungalow with sea view, which was ok but the air conditioning had a terrible, mold- smell which even the staff couldn’t help us with, so we just couldn’t use it. Outside the hotel is kind of messy too.Overall, I’d take other hotels at Salad Beach anytime and without a doubt.We stayed two nights and left.

The location was great

Very poor maintenance and cleaning inside and outside.Bathroom was dirty, looks like it had never got a proper cleaning. Walls in bedroom were dirty.Overpriced food and drinks compared to the other resorts (and 17% taxes added on top).The pictures give a much nicer impression than reality.

I booked the deluxe bungalow on booking but when we arrived they said they overbooked and one family room is left with 5 bed and a really smelly bathroom old furniture.Ask them for refund they were willing to send it back but we didn’t find an other hotel so we had to stay there for a night .I wouldn’t recommend this place .Location is really hard to reach and very far from everything.

The beach is very nice and quiet. The staff was helpful.

It does not look like in the pictures at all. The rooms are not in good shape. The cleaning is not satisying.

Price of food and beverage are much too high compared to other resorts on the same beach. Quality and delivery of food. Breakfast buffet could have a larger range of selection of food
