Phangan Akuna

The staff are fantastic really friendly and go above and beyond. I stayed here twice during my time on Koh Phangan and I would highly recommend it for either single traveler or families. And do eat here food is great!! 5*

The location was good for what we needed.

Every single day we woke up and there were more bugs— a dead cockroach on the deck, a gecko in the kitchen, and even tens of ants crawling all over my toothbrush. Additionally, they only clean every other day, which definitely did not help with the bug problem.

The room was big and clean.The location is just perfect! The staff is super nice and if you want to rent a motorbike, you should rent from them because they are very cheap if you take it for a month or more. The police are very nice

Very nice place, very kind staff. They have a great gym, they have a great swimming pool, the landscaping is very beautiful, full of trees, not crowded, a must-see, we really enjoyed it.

Great accommodation with bright rooms, stable WiFi, gym, pool and desks for work. Perfect place for digital nomads.Staff also extremely friendly and helpful and well organized.

Fabulous place. My room was large and comfy, and I loved having a little kitchen area where I could prepare food or refrigerate things. It rained a lot when I was there, so it was nice to have a great room when I didn't want to go out. The swimming pool was terrific and much bigger than I expected. The staff were all lovely, and the girl on reception was helpful, efficient and friendly. I'd happily stay here again.

The only thing I didn't like was the amount of plastic bottles they use. I stayed in four other places on the island before coming here, and they all provided a massive bottle of water on the balcony so that you could fill your own bottle daily. In Akuna, they provide 2x600ml plastic bottles of water a day. I stayed 8 days, which meant 16 small bottles awaited me. I then bought about 10x1.5ltr bottles to use the rest of the time as I couldn't carry larger bottles back to the accommodation with me. It's a shame that anywhere still uses so much plastic nowadays.

Rainnie is just the best, very attentive and caring.She made sure that our stay was the best possible.Facilities were great, we had the pool all to ourselves, the gym is well maintained and you can get anything you'd want from reception (from renting a bike to buying bottles of water).I would definitely give this place the highest of recommendations. The staff, the rooms, location were all very good.

Great location, just out of the main town, less than a 10 minute walk. Staff were awesome, very happy, and always ready to help out. The Scooter hire was 150 p/d if you booked it for the whole stay, which was great, or 200 p/d for just the odd day. Rooms were clean and comfy. Nice place, and quiet - which was great! Would stay again.

Room was spacious, private, quiet, Comfortable and cosy. The salt water pool is large, clean, bright with lots of loungers and refreshing but not too cold.Staff were super accommodating and I love that they WhatsApp updates regularly. The whole place felt like a gated community. Close to awesome restaurants and anything else you need. Wonderful value in KP!

Typical Thai shower with no door or curtain means the bathroom floor is always wet. I hate that.Would have appreciated a little more gardening on the steps to our bungalow as well as the walkway to the pool. It was overgrown with vines.

Amazing staff. The nicest people you will meet in any hotel in Thailand. Great room. Whisper quiet .beautiful landscaped gardens. Very nice comfy bed. Easy to store bags when you check out. Very safe. Very very good price.

Lack of restaurant on site really has an impact because it's quite a long walk to the closest place to eat. It's also just a little far to walk to town. So if you can handle a long walk everywhere then you will find this is one the best places for the money in Thailand.

We had an amazing time staying at Phangan Akuna. Everything was great!The accomodations are very clean, very modern and well equipped. The place is very nice, you feel like staying in the middle of the jungle. There is also a nice swimming pool and a gym.And the staff was so so kind, always welcoming us warmly and always accomodating.This is one of the best place I've stayed in Thailand, I 100% recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Ko Phangan.

Such lovely staff, the gym had range of equipment, nice pool, very comfy beds and kitchen facilities.

In the middle of nowhere, need a scooter to get to the beach or shops etc.

The staff were so friendly, they always had a smile when checking us in, and whenever else we saw them. The pool is great, didn't use the gym but it looked good. WiFi was great, easily able to stream videos. Sorry walk to Sri Thanu village which has loads of restaurants, especially Eat.Co, which is amazing.

The price was a little high, but there was nothing else to complain about.
