Sand in My Shoes Beach Loft

What is not to like! This place is amazing! The location, the staff, the room itself, the white sandy beach, the service. All 10 stars! The super kind manager contacted us in advance to offer us a smooth arrival, and they even upgraded us for no cost. The staff at the hotel are the kindest and competent people. The food was also very nice. My husband and I loved it here and will be back as soon as possible.

Everything was perfect!!

The staff was very good and provided excellent service.The room was very nicely decorated, and the breakfast was superb.As a family the location was great. Close to the main street and restaurants, the beach and the entire area seems more family friendly.

Very beautiful property in a very beautiful location, they have only 9 rooms and it’s quiet, there’s also sap and kayaks for the guests for free and a super nice pool! The staff was very helpful and they assisted us with everything we needed, Tae the manager was super friendly and helpful and also gave us a lot of recommendations. ???

It is poorly maintained. There was a bad smell in the shower and the electronic door lock didn't work so we needed to use a physical key.

Lovely property with the beautiful beach on one side and lush greenery on the other. Quiet and relaxing environment. What really stands out though is the staff and service. Tae, Gina and others on the team went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay - ever smiling and hospitable. They made all our travel arrangements without additional charges as most hotels tend to. We were taking an early morning ferry out of Koh Phangan and they came in early to make us a nice boxed breakfast. If you are in Koh Phangan it is a property you should consider sir ding time at.

The island was beautiful, and the village where the hotel is located was perfect. The beach and sea were stunning, and even on our last day when it rained, it still felt amazing. We mostly enjoyed swimming in the sea, which was lovely and a bit wavy but very fun. Hearing the sound of the waves from our room and waking up to it was incredible. It was great to use the restaurant facilities during the day, and we did plenty of activities with our child. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and kind—big thanks to them! Our room was cleaned daily. The pool was nice but quite small; however, with the sea so close, we didn’t mind much.

Unfortunately, the room had a strong musty smell, and we couldn’t get used to it. We tried to keep the door open for ventilation, but this let in mosquitoes, insects, and even lizards. Despite using mosquito protection, we still got bitten a lot. The rooms also had no soundproofing, so noise from outside or the restaurant was very noticeable. It didn’t bother us much, but it might be an issue for sensitive guests. While the hotel is a bit far from the island’s center, there are plenty of restaurants, markets, exchange offices, pharmacies, and cafes within a 5-minute walk, offering different dining options daily. The hotel looks great in pictures but feels slightly older in reality, though this wasn’t a big issue. The beachfront location is wonderful, but addressing the musty smell would greatly improve the experience.

Shower water pressure could be better for hot water. Thong Nai Pan in general is pretty remote from the rest of the Island so getting there and away can be challenging

The location is perfect. There is a magical feeling to the hotel. The village which is walking distance from the hotel is magical with lots of great restaurants, pharmacies and cafes. The beach of the hotel is magical, you don’t need to leave the hotel while staying there.

The breakfast is mediocre The staff mostly doesn’t speak English. Also one time they forgot the master key in our room and while we were sleeping they tried to open our room without knocking and didn’t understand what the problem was

the suite was amazing, spacious and modern, with a balcony to an amazing view. the staff was very friendly and the breakfast was excellent. they also provide sap and kiaks. `

Amazing beach and perfect location. Definitely our favorite in the island. Suitable for couples, very romantic and quiet. We absolutely loved it!!

It's one of the best small hotel in Koh Phangan. Location is best beach of island if you like peace. I 6 years lived on Koh Phangan and know what about i speaking. This beach is the best for just swimming and relaxing. Huge breakfast, cute room.

Location is amazing! Very secluded part of the island, wide sandy beach, amazing waves. Pure paradise.

It is expensive. Room itself was quite cool but very expensive. Restaurant serves very good food but again, very expensive, especially for Thai standards.

A perfect beach bungalow right on a beautiful beach. The room is well designed and spacious. The restaurant is nice and reasonably priced.The pool is beautiful. Nice street with restaurants and shops 2 minutes walks

The air conditioning wasn't working very well, but the ceiling fan did the work.

Ever check into a place on a multi-stay trip and realize you made a mistake…..because the place is just about ridiculously perfect and you didn’t stay here the whole trip ? Well Sand in My Shoes is that place! Great setting on a stunning beach. Our beach-view room (#9) was huge and incredibly well appointed . Bar and restaurant was great as well - perfect low key get-away boutique hotel that IMO concedes nothing to the Anantara resort next door.

Small boutique hotel, right on the beautiful thong nai pan beach. Helpful kind staff, owner was around and she was very attentive and kind. the room was perfect with a nice balcony to the beach.

sheets were not clean upon arrival but were immediately changed to our request.better food options around than the hotel’s restaurant, pool was a bit small with no sitting area, but it’s ok cause the beach is right there

The hotel is soo badly operated and the service is really poor. In short, it is NOT worth the price and NO I do not recommend this place to anyone. I explained the details below:Cleaning: We arrived at around 6pm at the hotel. Our room was partially cleaned, and the sheets were changed but there were no clean towels, no soap, and the glasses they put in the bathroom were used. The shelves in the bedroom were dusty. On that evening, they were able to give us clean towels & soap but the cleaning only happened the next afternoon.Breakfast: The coffee machine was broken so the first day they served us Nescafe as "black coffee". Only when we specifically asked to ensure it is not a Nescafe, they told us that it is actually an instant coffee. For 3 days, I and other hotel guests were walking to the city center to buy coffee and only after the 4th day, after we recommended they buy & serve something for their guests, they started to serve some filtered coffee to the guests.Price: The portions are small and not worth the price. The other hotels charge the same for better quality.Personal: I must say that was the best and the worst part. Whoever the owner of the hotel is, they are definitely not there. They employ locals in the hotel for service which is the best part. However, someone should teach and guide the team to serve better for what they charge for. Before leaving the hotel I gave them this "feedback" since they send a message via booking and ask for it. The hotel manager's response was "IT IS OK" :)) For me, this is the most ridiculous part. Instead of a "thank you", "I appreciate the feedback" or "sorry for the inconvenience caused" if their only response is "IT IS OK", I can clearly say that IT IS NOT OK and no, I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone.

very clean and well maintained. nicely designed rooms. generous breakfast. amazing location right on the beach. very friendly staff. I’ll definitely be back.
