Sabaii Bay Resort

It has the best equipped gym of any hotel I've stayed at with roughly 20 machines and free weights. Although, some machines could be maintained a bit better. It also comes with a coworking space.

The room is bare-bone and not made to unpack as there are no drawers.

Very good location, next to the sea and not so far way from the city center. Resort had Gym what i liked a lot.

Noisy. If you choose bungalow then you can hear everything whats going on outside- all the conversations from other bungalows and traffic. In some nights i had to use ear plugs.

Poor facilities, bad service, lack of basic things in room, not even a face or hair towel! Ants all over the place, Noise from renovation work all day, rude owner who screams at her guests. Never had experiences such a bad hotel stay. Very expensive! Not recommended at all!

The cabin/bungalo was pretty comfy with private entrance and patio. The bed is good too. Overall good value for the money - about $45/night during off season. The gym area is one of the best considerning the size of the resort, so i used the gym daily and was happy with it.

The beach is small and looks awful when the tide is low. The road that right before the resort (last 200 meters) is horrible: it is not paved, full of ugly pools and almost impossible to drive or walk. I don;t understand how the place even functioning with the road like that. I truly hope this is fixed by now (I left the property about a month ago).

Nothing really

First day room was with no electricity for half day, they didn’t bother to say sorry or anything really. When I asked they lied saying that was everywhere..not true because I had been out. Loud music from neighbours, when told reception, the man laughed in my face saying I have to solve it myself. Friday night big party with people coming from all over the Island…is not written anywhere in the description at Booking.com, and again reception guy lied that it was written, when I ask him to show where said in their website. Overall the worst experience in Thailand. Unless you are there exclusively to party I wouldn’t suggest. Never seen such a poor attitude, just the woman at reception when I checked out day before asked why and looked concerned.

The people at the Resort are absolutely amazing! Extremely kind, fun and sweet people. We were a group of 5 girls and felt comfortable and safe at all times. The rooms are great and the entire resort is really beautiful. The restaurant was also really really good and the food very delicious and authentically thai. The gym is also very good. But the people really made this stay a 10/10 experience!

This place was great. Amazing staff, coworking space, gym access with good equipment! Would definitely recommend :)

Location if you rent a bike and explore different part of the island

One staff member very unfriendly. They are also little bit chaotic - check what you payed and what you still owe to the restaurant

Incredible pool and beach!

A short walk in from the main road.

Pool area is lovely, sunsets at the beach bar are lush and they have good parties.

Lots of construction work and food/drinks need some love

Hotel runs beach party with loud music till 4am on Fridays, no pool table as advertised, only daily cleaning if you leave your key

Bungalows look like dirty and old. They lack a lot of light. Looks depressive staying inside.

Nothing. We paid over the odds to stay here over Christmas and when we turned up, it wasn’t like the photos.

There was building work going on near the reception, by the pool and outside of our balcony. You couldn’t get away from the noise where ever you went. Hence why we asked to be refunded after checking in and had to find somewhere else to stay.

Lovely family run business. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Delicious food, freshly prepared. Great gym. Great people.

Having to leave. I was supposed to stay for 4 days but kept extending it. I ended up staying for 4 weeks. They were very accommodating.

Beautiful clean swimming pool. Our room was in the tropical garden and very close to the beach.Staff were super friendly and helpful. Affordable scooter rentals at reception, very convenient.

Wrong hotel for us. We booked a “complete bungalow” and arrived to find a wooden shack with no TV and about 2 feet of space in the bedroom either side of the bed. We upgraded to a proper room but this had views over buildings in construction. There was a beach party on the night of our stay which, to be honest, was the last thing we wanted. Maybe fine for the backpacker brigade looking to party until 4am but very very very pricy based on other accommodation we have enjoyed in Thailand and on this island. So what did we like? Moving on next day!
