Clean rooms, lovely gardens.

LOTS of screaming children.

The breakfast was great. The dinner menu needs some work. The staff were excellent. TK always had a smile on his face and made sure we were all happy.

Room was very noisy. Could hear the staff talking in the early morning.

The property is so reasonably priced for what you get. You get a decent room with a terrace, I had a view of the ocean it was perfect. You are right on the beach to walk on or swim with the option to shower off outside and take a dip in the pool. The beach itself is very chill (I went in November which is technically slow season though) and beautiful. They clean your room daily. The staff are lovely and we could rent what we needed at a decent price. It’s not a five star resort but honestly why would you expect that for the reasonable price you pay? Comparatively to other properties on the beach it was the most affordable while having everything I needed/wanted (beach access, pool, massage, terrace, AC), I didn’t need fancy.

The restaurant wasn’t great, but there’s plenty of other walkable options, it did have decent prices though for drinks which I used. There is a crack in the terrace door that bugs could get through but that was an easy fix I just shoved a plastic bag in between and I didn’t have a problem with bugs at all! Overall great!

Room was great - loved the balcony. The hang out spot on the beach was so nice, under beautiful sea almond trees! the grounds were beautiful too, so serene with statues, trees, gazebos etc. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Taxi easily arranged.

Restaurant wasn't that great, but there were so many great ones nearby anyway so it didn't matter. Money exchange wasn't good for USD, but i went in town for better exchange rate.

The resort is located right on Salad Beach, which feels mostly private and is surrounded by other quiet resorts. The beach itself is lovely - shallow waters, a nearby reef, and plenty of fish to spot while swimming or snorkeling. During high tide, there’s not much sand left, but the resort’s sunbeds are perfectly positioned for relaxing just in front of the beach.The on-site restaurant is reasonably priced and opens early at 7am, which is rare in the area. While the food isn’t the best, but it’s tasty and great value - especially if you're traveling on a budget.Getting to other beaches from here isn’t very easy unless you have a motorbike or car. I went for runs to Mae Haad and Haad Yao, and despite the hilly terrain, it’s doable—about 2.5 km away. There are a few shops, convenience stores, and restaurants within walking distance of the resort.I stayed in a spacious apartment-style room with a comfortable bed, a clean bathroom, a small fridge, a secure lock, and a balcony overlooking the garden. Housekeeping came daily to clean and provide bottled water, which was a nice touch. The resort also has a good-sized pool and offers massage services for 400 baht.The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I’ll definitely return when I’m back in Phangan.

There’s little to complain about overall. Some of the furniture and doors are showing signs of wear, but nothing that affected the comfort of my stay. As is common across the island, mosquitoes can be a nuisance—definitely bring repellent. I did notice that a neighboring property had a buildup of trash and construction debris, which might be contributing to the mosquito presence. The beach itself, while beautiful, had some litter, and I didn’t see much effort from resort staff—across all the properties on this beach, not just Salad Beach Resort—to keep it clean. Unfortunately, this seems to be a broader issue in many parts of Thailand. Do your part and bring your trash back with you, please!

Nice beach, a good swimming pool

1. No Lobby2. Rude staff, all they care about is money3. I paid double the price on booking then what the current rate was, from now on I will book directly with hotels, booking is not reliable4. Deposit of 1500 Bhat for room keys, in cash, never had this anywhere in the world5. Overall ROI is very disappointing both from Hotel and Booking.com

The staff are amazing , all day they are taking care to clean around and make order , we also had some problem in the shower and the took care of that immediately and fix it , every question we had we got an answer , the location is amazing our room was 15 from the beach and just in front the pool

We liked everything ! Keep in the mind the the beach has many restaurants for some reason the hotel restaurant is not popular hence we didn’t try it , we ate at crystal day restaurant for dinner BBq and it was awesome , also the fire show was good one

We had a sea view Bangalow , it was clean and spacious .The beach is lovely and quiet , the resort is nice and clean .Nothing to complain about

The beds in the bungalow were superb, extremely comfortable, however the wooden sun loungers on the bungalow balcony are the most uncomfortable pieces of decking furniture imaginable with no cushions, we nick named them the 'rack'. We felt the restaurant is starting to look a little tired but we found the food excellent. There is a step down near the front of the restaurant looking out over the Bay which has no edge marking causing a lot of people to trip. We spent a month here so did notice people tripping.

Quiet place, clean, nice pool, beach , restaurant

Rooms were dated but still in good condition and comfortable. Grounds were nice set in gardens and nice seating areas. Right on the beach, massage on site.

Not a lot in the area so wouldn't have wanted to stay more than a couple of nights, no sun loungers on the beach. The restaurant was lacking any sort of appeal or atmosphere compared to the other hotels next to it.

Great hotel on the first sea line . The rooms weren’t so big but had everything needed and comfortable beds. Good AC , balcony , everyday cleaning and towels change .Beautiful beach with clean water You can find restaurants and massage places near the hotel. Be aware that there’s no exchange points around and hotel rate is low . As well nearest 7/11 20 min walk up to the hill , you can get there by taxi . Better to find a taxi by itself as hotel taxi rate is a bit higher than others .We’ve enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this place

The fact that you pay 500baht deposit incase you loose your key which it clearly states on the receipt, I did loose the key so expected to loose my deposit only to be told I had to pay a further 500bht which I refused to pay of course

They supposedly upgraded our room . The bed was hard and our balcony looked onto a dirty white wall.

Terrible

Don`t take a rooms in building near the reception area. We take one to spend one night before long way back home. It was terrible night. In a midnight we hear very loud noice - it was a big old generator just under the room! And soon its start to smell a diesel fuel inside. We go sleep to the beach, cause it was impossible to stay in room. The noice killing.So it was absolutely useless - to spend money on this hotel.In the morning manager just said - its not our falt - and do nothing to compensate this and act like she dont know what is customer service at all. She didn't even apologize, although we described the situation very calmly. There are many wonderful hotels on the island - don't repeat our mistake. This hotel is not worth it

Location and facilities.

The resort refused to give us second key. They also didn’t allow us to have have a key that unlocked the electricity in the room. So we were not able to charge any electronic devices while we were not in our room. The frequent switch of the electricity (while we come. in and out of the room) destroy some of our electronic devices (power bank and usb adapter charger) I reported it to the stuff but nothing was offer to compensate about of 150usd loss in damage devices. Despite that I Still recommend the place but electric situation and not being able to get the second key (if you’re couple or family) is something to be aware of.

Quiet and nice. Pretty clean and enjoyed both pool and beach.

Restaurants at the beach are lousy, all of them. Area is quiet but nothing to do if u don’t have scooter. Next “town” is super nice with great pizzeria loccos. And senses restaurant is great!!
