We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Sunset Hill Resort. Everything about the experience was smooth, comfortable, and enjoyable. The resort is beautiful, peaceful, and very well maintained, and we truly felt taken care of from the moment we arrived.A very special thank you to Mitzi, who made our stay exceptional. She was incredibly kind, patient, and attentive, always ready to help with a genuine smile and great professionalism. Her warmth and dedication truly stood out and made a real difference throughout our stay.Thanks to Mitzi, we are certain we will return to this resort, and we will happily recommend it to anyone we know. She represents the highest level of hospitality and is the reason this place truly feels like a five-star experience.Highly recommended.

The hotel workers are great, always helped in all possible questions and were friendly. Thank u so much guys. The hotel territory and our room is also good and clean. We also enjoyed the massage they offered, the massage lady is very professional. I recommend to take not less than 90 minutes of massage:)In general it's a pleasant stay, the hotel is very friendly to guests. If we go to phangan again there is a high chance that we will stay there again.

Not much hot water in some rooms, wi fi was unstable

The pool and view is beautiful, the staff are very friendly.The hill going up is very steep, if you’re not planning on renting a car or scooter I would avoid, there’s a shuttle I think until 17:00, walking up would be brutal.

1. The noise, first night we arrived the hotel had a party going on until midnight, screaming karaoke when there is a “22:00” noise curfew. Second night groups of people were hanging out on balcony making noise until 1 am, talked to reception but there’s no one around after 23:00. Also you hear everyone above you if you’re not in a penthouse you will hear people like a NYC apartment building.2. Beds are super soft, if you have back problems these beds will make them worse.3. WiFi in the rooms is very slow ~5 MB (did a speed test)

The view from the pool, restaurant, and rooms with a seaview is amazing. There is a sauna, steam room, and ice bath available for free use by hotel guests on Mondays and Thursdays. I have never stayed at a hotel with those amenities before.I found the food at the restaurant to be good. There are a few vegan options. I also really loved that they offer a free coffee/tea to guests each morning (coffee options include americano, latte, or cappuccino, and they have non-dairy milk). Something to note is that this hotel is located up a fairly steep hill, so having a car or scooter is helpful. I rented a car, and the hotel staff made that process so easy for me. She called the rental company, asked if the vehicle I wanted was available, and had him bring it to the hotel so I could look it over. Talk about excellent customer service. There are two parking lots, and I did not struggle to find a place to park. Mind you, I stayed in mid-November, so that may be different in high season.They also offer laundry service, which I appreciated. I had about a week's worth of clothes washed for 400 baht. You could probably get it done cheaper elsewhere, but I loved the convenience. As for the bathroom, the water pressure is good and the water gets warm. I was pleased.

The only negative I can note is that there were several mosquitoes in my room this morning. I'm talking around 15 or so. The hotel did spray for mosquitoes earlier this week, and funnily enough, I didn't notice a single mosquito in my room before they sprayed.

The best swimming pool ever with terrific sea view!The facilities and rooms are in good conditions, and the staff is friendly and helpful.In general it was a very pleasant and memorable stay. Recommend!

The staff is kind and accessible with WhatsApp communication from any place on the island. The room was big.

The room and bathroom were old and not with a vacation vibe. The resort is up the hill, so one can not go down to the street without a shuttle (only operates on day time) or by a taxi (pretty expensive)

The location was close to many places. The resort is on a hill, but that only makes for the BEST views of the sunset ? would highly recommend a corner room like Rose 1 for the ultimate viewing experience.

A stunning place, but a bit outdated and not very well maintained… we had gaps in the window that were fixed, but it still felt like mosquitoes and flies kept coming in all the time

Awesome pool with beautiful view. The room was comfy. We received new towels every day instead of those we took with us to the beach.Staff was friendly, and also booked us a cab from Thong Sala pier (200BHT per person) as we requested.

The hotel is on a hill, so it is not recommended if you don't drive a scooter.There's also some walking around the hitel uphill.The building near the reception is under construction so there's some noise and workers around the place (although it didn't bother us while in our room).

Sunset Hill is a fantastic resort. We had an absolutely fantastic time here. Probably the crown jewel of the experience is the incredible view. It's breathtaking. It's one of the nicest views you can get in the area, especially from any resort. The pool is awesome, and with the view in the background, just an amazing way to start your time in Koh Pha-ngan. The restaurant has some delicious options, especially the Thai food. The prices are very reasonable. Room service is a simple 10% charge on the bill, making it a convenient and relatively affordable option as well. The rooms are really sizeable, and some offer both a tub and a shower. Ours also had a wrap-around balcony that was truly pleasant. We had dinner on the balcony almost every night. It was a really lovely way to end the day and unwind. Beds are comfy, especially if you like relatively firm mattresses (but not too firm!). The staff is truly delightful. They helped us often if we had anything we needed and responded immediately to any request. They are available through Whatsapp, which just makes it super easy to communicate with them. Overall, this place is an absolute steal. For the price we paid, we were floored at how great this place was. I highly recommend to anyone considering it. BONUS: Srithanu is a great area and there is A LOT going on near the hotel. Awesome spot.

The only minor complaint is that the hotel offers an ice bath and sauna experience a few times a week. We were excited to try, but unfortunately the ice bath isn't really an ice bath, just a cold water bath. It would be great if they actually got.. ice. The sauna is incredible, however, and we still had a nice evening :)

Superb room , soundproof, great sea view, service always quick and polite, food was delicious and not expensive , staff were always clear, helpful and good fun

Some building work going on , a mild inconvenience considering the benefits and strictly no work after 5pm , imagine the new facilities will be incredible !!Definitely returning

As a result of the ongoing works I got a free upgrade to a sea view room where I could could hear any noise. The views are stunning! The pool could be upgraded. On a steep raps but close to amazing restaurants and a cool beach.

THE VIEWS - It was a stunning place for sunset views - can't be beat! Rooms were very very clean! Beds were great. Staff provided us with rides as necessary and was quick to respond to any needs we had.

When we arrived, there was construction and considerable noise. Management covered this minor inconvenience by upgrading out room well beyond our expectations. The noise was not that big a deal and had no impact on our stay. Nice People.

Beautiful views, lovely food at the restaurant and very helpful and kind staff. The hotel is located on top of the hill (hence the amazing views) and is easily accessible with a tuktuk if you don’t want to walk up/down. The beach is very close and they also organise yoga and sauna&ice bath days. Thank you for the amazing time!
