Santhiya Koh Phangan Resort & Spa - Up to THB 2,000 Resort Credit per Night

This hotel surpassed our expectations. I have never known luxury like this. The private villa with pool (no view) was unbelievably gorgeous. Every single detail is tended to at this hotel and the staff is wonderful, cheerful and extremely attentive.

No real negatives except to say that the beach is pretty average (it's still a beach in Thailand though so that's awesome in and of itself!). Get your fill of beaches elsewhere and then come here for the ambiance and beautiful pools.

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed at. Location is beautiful, rooms are beautiful, and service is outstanding.

More than one free town run would be great - one in the morning and another in the afternoon

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The villa was beautiful and very comfortable, with a luxurious private pool and a truly breathtaking view. Everything was thoughtfully designed down to the smallest details. The staff were attentive and friendly, the breakfasts were excellent, and in the evenings the restaurant offered lovely live music, which created a great atmosphere.

There was one important issue that affected our stay. We booked a villa for four people, and according to the reservation, one of the bedrooms was supposed to have twin beds. This was very important for us. Unfortunately, both bedrooms had king beds . This lack of attention to detail negatively affected the experience for our friends.

Everything was VERY beautiful. The breakfast buffet was amazing, totally worth it.

It was annoying that you have to wait for a buggy to get around the resort or to the front gate. Sometimes I had to wait 20 min. But the buggies are super cute

Some of the staff do not speak English and cannot communicate, and the information and service were not complete and accurate. The hotel is remote and isolated.

We were quite disappointed with our experience. Unfortunately, we weren’t aware that the bathroom in our original room was located outdoors, which made it uncomfortable due to ants and bat droppings. When we requested a room change, we were given a smaller room with no refund or compensation.What saddened us most, however, was the attitude of the receptionist, who was unkind and made us feel very unwelcome. Additionally, we noticed that the staff seemed unhappy, and we sincerely hope they will be treated better in the future.

Everything, the stuff is friendly, everything is clean and adapted to your needs. The hotel itself is beautiful.

We stayed at a beautiful and romantic wooden villa with a large private terrace, a private pool, an outdoor bathtub, a fantastic and very large semi-outdoor bathroom, a very comfortable bed. Very clean and well maintained; the villa alone is worth the trip and the price.The staff is outstandingly warm and welcoming.The resort is so incredibly beautiful that we never went out in three days. The beach is amazing and swimmable, and there are free SUPs and kayaks.The included breakfast was delicious, varied and abundant. Additionally, our rate included a 1,000 baht credit per day to spend in the restaurants.Room service is very fast and well executed.The massage by the pool is extraordinary.

Some common areas require touch ups. There are a few visible spaces cluttered with working tools, ladders and buckets, which could be stored away for a cleaner sight. A lot of wires and pipelines are visible on the side of the roads, which could be hidden with minimal effort.As a hospitality professional I detected several opportunities to improve the service sequences, standardize processes, and smooth friction points such as the check in and check out. With a little more training and clarity of expectations, the wonderful staff could take this property to a whole other level of luxury.

The room is very special and spacious with stunning views. It was very quiet and romantic and the pool, the gym and the beach are very nice and well taken care of.

The breakfast was so crowded (no matter the time we arrived) with huge lines and no place to sit.The only way to move from your room to anywhere (even within the hotel) is with the hotel shuttle and in general the hotel is so isolated from anything else which is a big problem. On the map it look closer to the Main Street but it is very far away from it.

It is very special location and a special concept of resort being built inside the forest. Private beach and swimming pool are amazing

The food for breakfast could be upgraded. The rooms are old style and need renovation, but in spite of it the stay was wonderful! The facility is built on a high land area and walking is not easy for everyone. Transportation inside the facility is done by cars.

Very clean, high class, and beautiful rooms and surroundings. Staff are very nice and kind.

A little bit far from everything, must have a bike or long walks to get to anywhere. Inside the resort you must call a driver to take you from place to place (service that provided by the resort) and it’s kind of limited your movement.

nice hotel for couples, rooms are private and very comfortable. private pool and seaview. we had electricity problem in the room and they upgrade our room immediately.

nothing to do in the area. peaceful and quite but if you want to go somewhere out - there are no much options

The resort is amazing, beautiful and stunning.The pool, the room and beach are perfect. Also tge gym is one of the better we saw in resorts here.

The location is a bit tricky, you either need to walk through the beach around 15 min or take a taxi to get to the village.Also, because the resort is basically in the middle of the island, we had a few cockroaches in our bathroom.

The Santhiya is a superb upper scale resort. You have everything you need inside the hotel. The beach is probably one of the best if not the best on the island. The staff is great and accommodating for every need you might have.

The food is "only" a 9 out of a 10.One word of caution, there are a lot of stairs due to the topography of the resort. The staff do a great job of ferrying folks from place to place with rides, but I don't think it is well suited for handicapped folks.

The hotel and villas are absolutely beautiful — exactly like the photos. The property is well-maintained, with great facilities including a relaxing spa, a private beach, and kayaks available for guests. The breakfast was good, and the staff were mostly helpful and friendly, especially those who spoke English. We especially enjoyed our stay in one of the older villas, which was in great condition and had a lot of charm.

We stayed in two different villas, and surprisingly, the newer villa was in worse condition than the older one. The wood was worn and it just didn’t feel as well maintained, despite the higher price. Also, while most staff were friendly, communication was sometimes difficult with those who didn’t speak English. Overall, the hotel is on the expensive side, and the newer villas don’t seem worth the extra cost.

The place has the feel of a former beauty queen — once grand, but now clearly showing its age.

There's noticeable wear and tear throughout the premises, food is "ah", and the quality of service from the staff was unfortunately poor.We raised concerns regarding rude staff with the manager, who did take some measures to make amends, though it wasn’t clear whether they had the authority to offer any meaningful compensation.Regrettably, based on our experience, I cannot recommend this establishment

The resort is truly out of a dream, and the private pool villa is nice. you have a lot of facilities in the resort and the staff is very kind

We made a mistake while rebooking a night and the hotel made us pay 500 bahts for the upgrade, which was really overpriced. prices are kinda expensive in the resort for an okay food and prices are almost always higher than what’s indicated on the menu. it’s not about the money but principle.

Old property not well maintained, rooms are very dark, very remote, staff is not trained and not welcoming.

We are multi time return guests. Love the property and location. Love the pools. Breakfast consistently generous and tasty. Staff always great. Since we last visited, the fitness center has been upgraded which adds to the overall appeal as great to have mid day workouts.

Would be expensive without the 1,000 thb daily credit. Food and drinks are very expensive, especially compared to eating in the village. Any use of resort taxis is very expensive.
