    Pros +

    • The pool was excellent, never crowded. Big hotel. Very quiet in its own grounds at night - and day. There is a free shuttle bus to town (7 hours in between) which is useful just because it's there. There is a restaurant on site open all day which serves basic economical fare.
    • The hotel is well located and quiet. Room are average but OK the pool is nice
    • The pool.in clean and nice. The room was clean and comfortable

    Cons -

    • AC did not cool. It worked but not cool. I COULD NOT SLEEP THE WHOLE NIGHT.
    • Sometimes over-eagerness of staff to smile - this applicable to one particular member who put me in a furious state just before I left. The gym shouldn't get a mention. It would be better that way since it resembles something discovered in a shopping mall after a zombie apocalypse in the 80s, such is its dilapidated and old fashioned state. The fact that there is no real sign for tuk tuk drivers to follow otherwise without guidance they mostly get lost.
    • The hotel need a massive renovation and maintenance need to be done correctly ( shower not working - toilet also - the pool is not very clean - terrace - garden. For an hotel school training there is a lot of thing need to be adapted and follow the hotel industry concept

The pool.in clean and nice. The room was clean and comfortable

A little dated but a great price. Staff of set the rougher parts of the building

    3AlphonsusPosted on: 2-1-2025

The menu offered granola, muesli and fresh fruit. On both mornings I was told no sir! The eggs were very greasy and there were ants on the toast and all over the table.

The fact that they advertise it as a school. Everyone working there are staff so no students getting work experience. The management is so incompetent that students could learn nothing from them. The facilities are good but not utilised. For instance, the restaurant was closed and the pool are didn't even sell ice cream let alone cocktails. This hotel has the potential to be a thriving business but instead of making profit they ask for donations. The only thing students of Don Bosco Hotel school can learn from the people running it is how to become professionals beggars.

Enjoyed two days at Don Bosco very much. A hotel run by a Catholic charity that trains young Khmers to run a hotel. The room spartan but very clean and comfortable. AC and Wifi worked perfect. Very good value too.

No lift, if you have suitcases

Staff were helpful and nice. the place was spacious with beautiful gardens and waterfalls. Lots of goldfish as well. the swimming pool was also great. I liked that this place is an educational place for many youngsters and they learn trades from being here. By staying here we support these young people get skilled up.

The fan in the bathroom was a little noisy.

    Good price

I was expecting the bar at the pool area to be open at night but never open. Also they made a mistake with my bill and overcharged my credit card $1500 dollars. I am waiting to get the money back now.

Great value, wonderful pool and lovely staff.

I wish the breakfast options on the menu were all available and the fitness room would finally get renovated.

At first like a Normal Hôtel correct check in by young Students.Bring you to the room 4 Floor no lift. Nice spacious room I have to said- facilities extremely old even tiles are out inside the pool no one removed it for 6 days I was there. I understand it’s a ONG- but stillRestaurants are not open in evenings that I can understand- breakfast is not included. I left one day for trekking no one did my room Ahahah no even someone check it .For days lie dirty- of course I ask the FO it has been clean

It’s A older building you can see it’s not well maintained- the pool tile are out still inside no one removed it The gym extremely old I won’t used it so need dirty not not much clean better go to fitness center close by

    9RockyPosted on: 7-10-2023

I love the fact that this is a school. The people working here are really nice and accommodating. They offer a free transfer to the beach and the city including a return trip! This way it's not so bad to not be super close to the beach or downtown. The food in the restaurant is also really good.

If I absolutely have to mention a thing: the hotel is a little outdated. Although I wasn't bothered by it. Since this is a school for the poorest kids of Cambodia, I can imagine there are more urgent matters to spend money on.

    3BarbaraPosted on: 6-22-2023

    Spacious, clean

    Isolated, inconvenient

    9IngeborgPosted on: 2-5-2023

huge value for money! The place is a bit outdated but it has everything you would expect from an establishments far better rated. And you support the school.

    8TonyPosted on: 1-19-2023

Nice pool and area, staff friendly and helpfull.Rooms with good size and small balcony

Location is a bit far from city center and its inside Don Boscos big schollarea. No alcohol avaliable inside the hotel, but I allready know that. Resturant closed, got that info the day before we arrive...

    10ChanthidapichPosted on: 8-12-2022

    Everything.

The pillow is the room is too big and tough. I got neck pain sleeping on it.

    8ColinPosted on: 1-27-2022

We took a very large room, with a sofa and balcony and room for extra bed. All excellent. Although the bathroom 'spa bath' didn't actually work.... but there was a separate shower which worked very well. For the price this was an excellent deal. We've stayed there 3 times now, en route to/from Koh Rong Samloem. It's a great place to make the journey easier if one has time. Also has a very good swimming pool and nice gardens, with pigeons. I really like the place!

Restaurant closed for Covid. But there's a restaurant across the road from the front entrance.
