Amanta Hotel Nongkhai

Not much to like. Location is okay, but not by river. Close to a few restaurants.

Originally thought it was on the river from the photos, but isn't. The rooms are sparse with hardly any amenities or supplies. The air conditioning is set to turn off automatically after 3 hours. I paid for the room. Don't try to save money when I spent enough for air con.At checkout, the lady was very rude. I have her my key, and waited for confirmation and bill. I was obviously standing there waiting, and she made me wait 10 minutes while chatting on the phone, refusing to look at me. Finally another employee came by, I asked what was wrong. And finally found out I was done. But she was purposely ignoring me.attempted to stay again. Messaged the hotel to request some rooms. After 10 days, I finally asked why they hadn't replied. They said, they were now out of the requested room. No apologies, no attempts to fix the problem. I do not recommend anyone goes here.

It was neat and tidy . The sky bar was excellent.

No pool . Apart from that everything was good.

Breakfast was fantastic. Overall hotel was awesome, great value for money.

Only thing to sour our experience was we were charged 300 baht at checkout due to a towel that had makeup on it. No face cloths were provided and the make up would have come out in the wash as the previous nights had.

Staff were very attentive rooms were exceptionally clean

I did not like the fact I was charged 300 bht for a towel ? this was outrageous ? I could of provided a new towel for less or washed it myself. I have travelling all around the world never have I been charged for a dirty towel. Disgusting ?

Good all round value - we stay at this hotel whenever in Nong Khai - walking distanve to night market

Great breakfast, good car park, excellent roof bar with food and service.

2pm check in. Complicated Aircon control.

Third time staying. Room comfortable with balcony. Guest car park if you driving. Little bit isolated if you want go food shops as farther to go but wasn't a problem for us. Staff always helpful and friendly.We have stayed in room with double bed and twin rooms before depending availability. The twin room though the staff just push the beds together etc making one large bed.Bathroom has shower with hot water. Might think you take that for granted but stayed in hotels before where only had cold.

Though it wasn't a problem for us but if you want everything located outside the hotel then you going to have to walk fair distance.

Location was ideal for us whilst visiting family in the area.Located a stones throw from the Mekong River and probably half a mile from the Thai/ Laos Friendship Bridge for anyone wishing to venture into Laos.

Breakfast is the usual Asian style breakfast and plenty of it, which is fair enough but if they’d had just a couple of other options available like the majority of similarly rated hotels do (bacon/baked beans etc) it would have been perfect, for me anyway?

Room was very spacious.

Breakfast was OK. I don't like eggs sunny side up, but that was the default way they were cooked. I'm used to the wait staff asking how you would like the eggs cooked (i.e. over easy, over hard, scrambled, or omelet). There may have been a language mix up, although I asked for my eggs over medium, they came sunny side up and I had to ask for them to be cook more. The chef did what they could considering the eggs already had ham and cheese on them.

Staff, room, view and environment, plenty of parking lots and close to restaurants.

Nothing, but get the real fresh coffee in the morning would be great.

The hotel itself is excellent. Good rooms, comfortable beds, pleasant staff.

The hotel was 2 kms away from everything I find interesting in Nong Khai, so tuktuk or taxi everytime you go out.The gym was closed for maintenance.

Modern Business Hotel, perfect rooms, very nice breakfast. Perfect for one night bevore or after crossing the Friendship Bridge to Laos. Roofbar! Good value for money!

Very clean, beautiful hotel with very attentive breakfast staff.

Loud music can be heard all night from a closely property. The managers really ought to keep filing noise complaints until the police stop the constant noise. Construction occurring across the street all night and all day.
