KHAS Malioboro Hotel

I had a wonderful stay at Khas Malioboro Yogyakarta. The location is excellent, just a 5-minute walk to Malioboro Street, with rickshaws waiting outside for around IDR 20k per motor. The staff were very helpful and always full of smiles, making the stay even more pleasant. The room was clean and comfortable, though it would be even better with minor improvements as some facilities were not in their best condition. I didn’t try the breakfast, but their room service was great — especially the nasi goreng babat. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Yogyakarta.

The location is nice. It is close to Malioboro area where there are plenty of shops around. The restaurant was pretty good. The room was spacious. They offer room service but they do not serve alcohol.

We had issues with the aircon. The aircon does not cool the room off even though it is set to the lowest setting. I asked them to look at it, but it didn't seem to be a priority for them as it took a long time for technician to even show up to look at it and he never came back to fix it. I asked to switch rooms which luckily they allowed. The new room also had the same issue with the AC so we just dealt with the room being hot. When on the AC also leaks water where we had to put a towel down under it. The shower is very slippery when wet and we slipped multiple times we had to buy shower sandals. Next to the hotel is a mosque I think because at multiple times you can hear a call for prayer. Even at 4:30am. I sleep with ear plugs so it wasn't too bad but I can easily see this being a deal breaker for some people as that alarm is pretty loud and will wake you up if your room is close to it

Wi FI slow - suddenly my interview disconnected even twice than change into my personal modem that I always bring for back up, as I rent the room for work purposes.

The room booked was bad after 2 phone calls and being told they would call me right back went down to reception and moved to a suite. This turned out to have no electricity. On and on i could go but wont.

Strategy location near to city center

Small room , breakfast food not that tasty , almost same menu every day

The WiFi was outstanding, also the variety of breakfast choices.

The location very strategic! Walkable distance to malioboro street. The food are amazing?? double bonus for the food.

The cleanliness is average. I got the napkin that has lipstick stain on it. And the room is not soundproof.

Clean & relatively close to Malioboro Centre of Jogja. Friendly staff.

The breakfast spread is very good and it starts at 6 am so that people who start early to cover both perumbanan and borobudur benefit. The location is excellent to cover all local attractions like malioboro street, palace, museum as well as tugu train station

The room size and bed could be bit better.

Fantastic hotel in a very central location. Close to all the action in Yogyakarta. The staff are very friendly and attentive, and the rooms are pretty spacious and comfortable. The breakfast buffet had a good range of options. Wifi connection was very good.

Breakfast was great .. and the location is very good

The bathroom fan was noisey ..

Very close walking distance to the nightlife of Malioboro and the other centres of interest.

First room had view of brick wall, and second walled of smoke, but the staff worked to solve the problem and the third room was superb.

Location was good

No balcony’s to have a cigarette .. Also no swimming pool

Room was double booked

Room was double booked, new guest came in to room while my son was in shower nude, he got shocked to see an old man watching him. Later staff came and asked to share room with another guest, even we had booked the room. It was embarrassing and a trauma for my son.

Comfortable bed, good water pressure, excellent location

The whole facility should be repainted as the paint looks dilapidated and drab.
