Light Hostel Hualien

The location next to the train station!

I’d like everything about this hotel. It is so far best hotel.I have reserved.

Facility, cleanness, organiz, taking care of all the small issues

The layout was very convenient. Good wet/dry separation for shower. Keycard for shower access very safe. Good location and value.

Location. Just perfect. About ten minutes walk from the railway station and less to the Bus station. I like the fact that beverages were revised, complementary and the segregation of male and female dormitories into different floor. The first floor has family room, I guess.

Nothing to dislike.

Perfectly located 3 minutes walk from the train station. The facilities were clean and modern. The bed was comfortable and the hostel was quiet.

The staff were very helpful, the hostel had such a good atmosphere, the beds were very private and clean, it had a lot of space to put your thing, the shower was well put together and easy to use with an area to keep your towel and slippers.

This is a nice hostel that is easily accessible to both the train and bus station to go hiking. The facilities are clean and modern and the beds comfy.

This was the first time I ever saw a hostel have "hours". They open from 10-6 which can cause issues if you are arrive early or late as no one is there. Although in a good location for transport, food-wise it's not great and you'll have to walk a bit to find restaurants.

Hostel is 5 min walk from train station, very convenient for tour meet ups. The room was clean and very comfortable. Very good selection of shows on tv. Will definitely come back!

Slightly far from main streets where all the shops are and hualien bus services ends pretty early, had to walk 30 min back to the hostel.

Light Hostel is the perfect choice for anyone visiting Hualien. Conveniently situated just a 3-minute walk from the train station, and with the bus station merely a minute away, it's incredibly accessible. The hostel's well-designed common area fosters easy conversation among travelers, while the friendly and helpful staffs add to the welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are impeccably well maintained, featuring key-card accessible lockers for storing belongings, comfortable beds, and clean toilet facilities. Overall, my experience at Light Hostel was excellent, and I highly recommend it to solo travelers and families alike.

Great location, facilities were great and keycard access is very convenience and secure. Staff were very accomodating and the food recommendations were spot on.

Good facilities, clean bathroom, showers were especially nice and gave the most amount of privacy to me compared to every other hostel I was at.

Nothing against the hostel itself, but I had the worst, most passive-aggressive roommate. We could not agree on what temperature the A/C should be, and frankly he just turned it off most of the time which made the room too warm for me to feel comfortable in. At one point, the remote for the A/C went missing and I suspect it's because he hid it from me. This is the risk we take when we stay at a hostel!

The beds all have privacy curtains and individual outlets and lights. Each bed also has a storage locker for personal belongings. You use one key card to get into the building, your room, the bathroom, and your storage locker so it was all very convenient. The bathroom and kitchen facilities were well stocked and really nice.

Very convinient location just next to the bus station. Clean and spacious bathroom. Comfortable beds. Modern and tastefull decor. Quiet hostel and the naighbourhood.

This seems to be a standard in Taiwan hostels but it would be nice if a towel was included.
