Silks Place Taroko Hotel

Beautiful hotel and property with excellent customer service. Highly recommend!

The location & setting of this property are amazing. The rooftop pool and amenities are awesome.The breakfast and dinner buffet are wonderful.

Some of the spaces in the hotel are dated. The restaurant other than the buffet is average. The staff wants to upsell you on room type upon arrival - it’s a little expensive.

The pool was nice and large and there were several other hot tubs of different temperatures. The location was just perfect, our room was facing the gorge, hearing the sound of fast moving water.

The double beds were not too comfortable

Not in the hands of the property,but the ongoing construction due to earthquake and typhoon make it a bit less fun to explore the area due to frequent road blockage

Location was beautiful except it was in the middle of all the control points (due to maintenance from the earthquake). which made getting in and out very stressful. The hotels pool was the highlight.

Hotel location is too far from the main attractions of taroko park. All the park attractions were at least 90 min drive away and required a lot planning to make sure you make it on time for the control points - if you missed it, you would have to sit in the car and wait for an hour to get through. If you miss the last opening of the control point at 4pm then not sure what happens. This hotel is good if you don’t plan to leave the hotel. Also… a lot of kids in the hotel. So great if you’re a family with kids but maybe not so much for a quiet romantic couple getaway

Simply amazing hotel. You feel relaxed from the moment you step inside . Very beautiful and well maintained facilities. All of the members of the staff are super nice and helpful. Yoga classes were great. The meals in the hotel's restaurant prepared to a very high standard. The room is big and comfortable. Great for kids with lots of play areas. We had a wonderful experience, highly recommend.

Beautiful location , despite the Closure of many sites due to previous earthquake. Staff were so helpful and accommodating. Facilities for both adults and kids were beyond expected—so much for the kids in the play area. Food was excellent

The hotel's location is exceptional, and the team at the hotel made the stay even more unforgettable. If you are in the area, you should spend at least one night at Silks Place and enjoy the VIP treatment, the gorgeous view of the gorge, and the food (beef noodle soup was to die for).

Everything was perfect

Great place to stay even if taroko is closed down. Two little walks outside the hotel and the hotel is very nice and in superb shape.

Views from the room could be nicer. There is only a nice view from the roof

Probably the best hotel I’ve stayed in. The location is out of this world. Super comfortable rooms. Amazing pool and hit tubs. This place felt really special.

This hotel is magical! I got to immerse in nature while being properly pampered. The food is gorgeous, the service is impeccable, and the spa is absolutely top notch! What I love most is the staff. Caring, warm, and professional. I only spent two days here but I know it will become a big part of my memory for this year. It’s so worth it and I can’t recommend it enough!

Top class hotel, deserved 5 star experience. Great food, service, activities, spa (with a rooftop swimming pool with gorgeous sights!), practically everything one might want in such a place

Its convenient location at the terminus of bus line 302 and tourist bus 310 makes the trip from the train station to this hotel totally worth it. We were able to enjoy a couple of the more popular sites earlier/ later in the day and avoid tour groups. Baiyang trail can be reached on foot from the hotel and perfect for an early morning hike. The surroundings are spectacular, and we enjoyed the complimentary happy hour in the lounge and soaking in the outdoor hot tubs in the evening surrounded by the gorge. The room and hotel interior were really nice, breakfast was tasty, and the service was excellent.

They offer a paid shuttle service from either Xincheng or Hualien station and to Hualien train station or airport, but it’s too infrequent. We had to take a local bus on our way in from Xincheng station as a result, and wish the staff would have been a bit more helpful with providing info on transportation options when we inquired prior to arrival. Buffet dinner at Wellesley was just okay for the price.

I wish they had a sauna open without charge for short amounts of time. They have sauna rooms but you have to book them for 90 minutes with a fee. Why not have one sauna room where you can go in for less time and not book? Their dinner buffet had excellent variety but I found the quality lackluster for the price

The location of the hotel is stunning. The hotel also has many lovely facilities, including rooftop pools (warm and cool) with great views, a big indoor pool with saunas, restaurants and quality room service. Housekeeping was particularly attentive and thoughtful. Thank you.
