RAAS Devigarh

Would come back to Udaipur just to stay at this hotel! Located outside of the city, Raas Devigarh is a stunning palace/fortress sanctuary to stay in. The rooms are beautiful and clean and the staff is attentive, kind, and always ready to help.

The architecture and preservation of structure. Great food and service in restaurant.

Wake up call at 5:30 AM from the Mosque. I respect religious freedom but also my need for privacy and quiet. Need to balance the two.

Raas Devigarh is a gem of a property and the service and attention to detail is far superior to any place I have stayed. I have been fortunate enough to experience some of the very luxurious properties globally with brands with the likes of four seasons, relais and chateaux, taj, leela, rosewood etc. Raas Devigarh service and property beats anywhere I have stayed to date. They are doing something good - I hope they can maintain the level of service and focus as they go down the expansion path

Beautifully restored palace and fortress that allows you to imagine being a maharaja. The staff are so helpful and the food amazing. I liked the location surrounded by small mountains. It is close to Udaipur and easy to make day trips. I was sad to leave

Absolutely exceptional stay. Sorry we didn’t stay longer and look forward to our next visit. The staff was amazing, the palace property was gorgeous and the food was delicious. Even the massage was one of the best I’ve ever had. We really appreciated how The team went out of their way to help us celebrate our special day!

This hotel is incredible. The staff is so friendly and always available for whatever you might need. The pool, spa, and restaurant are all great places to relax.

The lowest fan speed was still quite fastThe coffee was not great for a hotel of this standard but this is being very picky.

The RAAS is an incredible hotel. We loved our three nights here, and would have definitely stayed longer if we could have. Despite being one of the cheapest, our room was massive and beautifully designed. The pool area is just perfect and so relaxing. And the main hotel is something else ...make sure you take the guided tour! The food in the restaurant was always delicious and the staff were always attentive and polite. No notes ...just book it!

Property is very beautiful and peaceful. Amazing Aravali hill view from every corner, heritage feels, top notch service! Could not have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend!

Nothing really.

This is a unique historical property which has been restored with sympathy. Attention has been given to every little detail. The location is peaceful and the service from the staff is exceptional.

The architecture, history, and design were impeccable. Every viewpoint was designed to just make you really feel fully incorporated into your surroundings.

I felt that the restaurant prices were high, even for the excellent quality.

Front office Staff including those in restaurants were extremely courteous and helpful. Loved the hotel .

As it’s a palatial property it’s not easy to find your way around. There should be more direction notices so guests are not lost searching for or rooms/ other venues.

Its gorgeously restored property, very comfortable, sparkling clean, hospitable and the spa is equally incredible. Esp thanks to Kishore, Pura, Dr Nitya Ratan Singh for making our short stay very memorable. Definitely doing the RAAS Hopper soon !

Food and drinks could be bought further to the overall 5 star standard esp since guests only have the hotel as the choice

My suite was wonderful, it was massive with a separate mirror sitting room (like sheesh mahal) and 2 balconies and a super large bathroom!The staff was exceptional and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The restaurant was amazing and a lot of the ingredients were grown locally at the property. The spa was also good and the kids have large gardens and a hoot pool to play in. Tortoise feeding was fun!We had 3 rooms all of which were great and unique. Good place to spend 2-3 nights with a bunch of temples and lakes to visit nearby.

Probably the fact that the property has challenges for people with mobility issues. Lots of really steep staircases and the lifts were rickety!

If you want to experience living like a royalty in a palace, this is the place! We’ve been to many hotels but this one is very special. It’s the most peaceful and private hotel we have ever stayed at. Wherever we go we have the amazing view to ourselves. The services provided here are also unmatched.

The property is located in a remote location so it’s hard to go out. There’s plenty of things to do in the hotel itself but some of them can be costly.

Very helpful, accomodating and friendly staff. Excellent food at all meals, exceptionally charming bar. Lovely pool, gardens and surrounding view from the entire property.

Rooms themselves, whilst clean and quite large, were poorly laid-out and quite dark, with very little natural light (perhaps restricted by the historic nature of the property as well). Not a room in which one would linger, almost felt closed-in in the bedroom area. Staff were very friendly but perhaps needed some polish for a property of this calibre.

The location is simply aamazing, a fortress-palace surrounded by a cute village and fields all over and the Aravali hills encircling it all. Service is TOP, the staff are really incredible. Our Aravali suite was huge and so beautifully done, with views from three sides, words canoot describe how amazing it is!

The history

Property Desperately needs refurbishment. One server in restaurant asked us too many personal questions and interrupted our lunch conversation constantly. Don’t book Garden Rooms. They are not in the main palace. Very low end feel to the room location. Rooms in the actual palace may be better.
