    Pros +

    • Great location great value super clean and pleasant. AC and facilities were excellent.
    • The hotel is lovely and our rooms had a beautiful view of the lake. The staff were also so helpful and accommodating. The downside is that unfortunately the property next door plays extremely loud music in the evenings till 10pm and it’s quite overbearing. But if you’re out for dinner no problem! It’s a shame for the hotel because other than that we had a very nice stay.
    • Lovely clean hotel very well appointed room and bathroom we had a view of the small lake Pichola . It was in walking distance of some lovely restaurants, a throughly lovely stay.

    Cons -

    • All is well
    • The access to the property is somewhat difficult by car as the road is often closed Cars can park in the hotel court yard to load and unload luggage
    • But. As others have mentioned there is a very loud enterprise recently opened literally next door. They have live "music" everynight between 0700 and 1015ish. This makes a quiet evening impossible at the moment but action has been initiated to curtail this illegal behaviour and resolution is hoped for sooner rather than later.

This is a very convenient hotel close to the old part of Udaipur. It is on the lake side and our room had a view across the lake from very large windows. The room was big, the bathroom could have had more space for toiletries but was fine. The staff were lovely. We had dinner at the hotel the first night and it was outstanding with dishes having depth of flavour. An excellent chef! Breakfast had everything you needed and cooked dishes, both western and Indian, were all cooked fresh. A lovely place to stay.

We had a wonderful time at the Experience Resort which so beautifully covered in a Banyan tree!!The location is quite central and you can reach everywhere easily by either taking your car or a rickshaw. The staff is amazing, with the reception staff to the room to the Chef. The food is really good, we had it couple of nights when the kids were to tired to go out.The chef took extra care in making stuff for kids and having it kid friendly, we were offered complimentary chips one evening for snacks, which totally made our Kids day.Since we visited in Winters, we got the chance to try out the soups too, which were exquisite. The breakfast is good too, but a little on the pricier side.Room size is quite good too. They have Puja Aarti during the evenings which was really sweet and nice.Just outside the hotel, there are a few eateries, we loved having the samosas and Kachori near to the hotel.

Just one major drawback to this hotel is the next door restaurant which has really LOUD Live music playing all evening till late night, it did take away from our otherwise lovely stay. We couldn't really sit outside and enjoy and unwind during the evenings. So Just keep this in mind.

Brutal noise at night, dubious managers

Don't go there, you won't be able to sleep or be happy. We booked a room from February 9th to 12th for INR 53,620, around USD 600, or 200 per night.Right next to the hotel is a music club where there's a loud outdoor party every night until after 10 pm.Since it's also a hostel, the party lasts until the next morning, right next to your bedroom. At around 5 am, the muezzin calls to prayer, followed by chants to the Indian gods until around 8 am.The noise is unbearable and echoes loudly across the lake. All the hotel guests complained bitterly to General Manager Dinesh Sharma. He promised to remedy the situation, but it's well known in Udaipur that this place is a haunted place. We changed hotels on the second day and agreed with Dinesh Sharma that he would refund us $300.Even four weeks later, and despite repeated promises from Dinesh Sharma, we still haven't received any money back. The hotel is rightly called "Experience," but unfortunately, the experience is very poor.

The location is amazing! Aside from the great lakeview during breakfast and in some of the rooms it is walkable to all of the major sights. It is also well decorated. with amazing prints for around udaipor. This place is very well managed. The staff , all of them are amazing and very hospitable. They always make sure you have the very best holiday by helping us with our itinerary, arranging cars from and to the airport. The housekeeper who have a very pleasant personality is cleaning that place to the max. The bed is so crisp and comfortable. I love the chef aside from being amazing at what he does( all the food were amazing) He is so friendly and hospitable. I didnt get their names but all of the staff i met always have a ready smile, hospitable and caring. Thank you guys! We missed you! We are in varanasi and the staff are nothing compared to you guys.

All the staff were exceptional! Nothing too much and helpful to the uttermost! Very no nonsense and practical support.Wonderful vegetarian food and a cook who took great pride in his work.Location in old town at lake ideal to be in a peaceful spot , but yet in the midst of everything.we loved the drumming and chanting in the morning, setting the tone to a new day

    Wifi a bit intermittent

Central location is handy and it has nice views of the water. Room was nice and spacious. However, the breakfast was poor and the bar next door plays very loud music from 7 - 10pm. You would never use the pool as it's exposed and the hotel is right next to a main road so it's very noisy and not relaxing. For the price you would expect much more.

    9nazneenPosted on: 2-25-2025

The manager Kalpana and the chef were excellent and most helpful. All the staff are polite and very helpful. The chef prepared delicious omelettes and parathas for breakfast. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and comfortable.

The property is located in the dense portion of the old city and many cars refuse to pick up or drop off here which makes getting around difficult unless you walk or take a three wheeler. There is a lot of noise from surrounding temples and restaurants with loud music though it stops by 10:30pm. Unlike other bathrooms, I had a bathroom only with curtains separating the toilet from the shower and from the sink so everything got wet. There was also an unfinished wall in my bathroom.

**Review of The Experience Resort**I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Experience Resort, and overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable getaway. The beds were incredibly cozy, making it easy to relax and get a good night’s sleep after a long day of exploring. The location of the resort was perfect, providing easy access to nearby attractions while still maintaining a peaceful atmosphere. I appreciated being able to unwind without being too far from the action. As for the dining options, the food was slightly better than average. While it wasn't extraordinary, it was still satisfying and offered a decent variety to choose from. One of the standout aspects of my stay was the attentive staff. They were friendly and always willing to help, ensuring that my needs were met throughout my visit. Additionally, the resort maintained a high standard of cleanliness, which contributed to a pleasant overall experience.I would recommend The Experience Resort to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in a convenient location, with a supportive staff and a clean environment.

Lovely setting and the hotel is a nice retreat from the busy street outside. Staff was helpful and kind and lake view was very pleasant. The location is excellent as many places are within a short walk from the hotel.

Although NO FAULT of The Experience Resort, a place with amplified live music has moved next door, which is quite loud until 10 or 1015pm. I hope this can be resolved, since the hotel has such lovely and calm vibes otherwise.

Really central and such a great find. Would definitely return. All the staff were so helpful. Had a great room overlooking the lake.

Nothing - it was just what described!

    7Mira134572Posted on: 2-16-2025

The location is excellent and the woman on reception was really kind and helpful. The room was big and nicely designed

It wasn’t worth what we paid which was nearly €180 a night. The WiFi didn’t work very well, music from the restaurant was left on all night that I could hear from my room, sheets had a hole in, breakfast was ok but nothing special. The stay was fine but not at that price

    5IainPosted on: 2-13-2025

Staff were friendlyBedroom is a decent size. The bed was comfortable and the room had a lovely view of the lake. Breakfast had haphazard service, but the quality was good

NOISE - The whole hotel was drowned in deafening noise from the next door club Bollywood Nights from 7ish to 10:30 every evening. This made the restaurant unpleasant, but worse, it was so loud in the bedrooms that it spoiled them.Plus there was different loud repetitive music played from 6-8:00 every morning non-stop. Other couples complained and checked out too.SHOWERS - the water in the showers only remained hot for three or four minutes which made it very difficult to wash hair and rinse the whole body and then took 15 minutes to warm the water up again. This is totally unacceptable for a boutique hotel. The bathrooms are tiny..DINNER - we had our dinner in the restaurant io the first night it was vegetarian only, not particularly good and of course the music was very very loud. It was also one of the most expensive meals - we had to eat out the other three nights.DOORS - the bedroom doors were extremely difficult to shut because of their design.POOL - WATER was very cold and the large tree on the property meant that there was no sun either on the water or in the sunbeds next to the POOL

,the team was very nice, helpful, they arranged us a birthday cake, and special food for breakfast.

There is noise from the street

Very lovely staff in a calm setting

Simplicity, style, location ... the very helpful staff also good to see women managing and working at the hotel

This was more than just a place to spend the night. This was a "home," a place where we could just be ourselves and be surrounded by smiling, helpful staff who went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Yes, there are more luxurious properties in Udaipur, but where else would we get the warm, personalized service that made us feel like we were part of the Experience Resort family? Kalpana, the fabulous on-site manager, arranged a door-to-door trip to the Leela Palace for an unforgettable dinner, a superb cooking class with Dhungari Kitchen, outings to local sites, and transport to the airport. Without her help our visit would have been so much less rewarding and easy. Purni and Sabina's smiles and laughs in the dining area made our experiences so enjoyable, and by the way, we found the restaurant food to be excellent. We found our lake-facing room comfortable and relaxing, and the location is very good. But more than anything, it is the people which make The Experience Resort a place which we can recommend.

Guests will have to adjust their evening schedules and eat out late in order to avoid the nightly concert noise emanating from right next door. It finishes up by 10:15 pm. WiFi reception in the public areas was fine, but in our room it was very spotty. However, Kalpana helped set up a hotspot with a hotel phone to rectify the situation. She also provided a space heater when we mentioned that the room was too cool.

There’s lots to like. The rooms are very nicely designed and pleasantly furnished. The staff are delightful and the food excellent for the most part. Food is freshly prepared to order by an excellent chef and we ate well. The location is very convenient for the City Palace (about a 25 minute walk) although walking is sometimes a bit hair-raising simply because of the number and noise of the scooters going past.Special thanks to the charming and helpful Khalpna - all the staff are fantastic and are neatly turned out and professional. The laundry service is good and quick.

Sadly it’s noisy when you want it to be quiet. The bar next door has loud - very loud - music until 10.30pm. And then every morning we were there, from across the lake would come the sound of either chanting or music for a couple of hours. It’s such a shame. And then there’s the very limited supply of hot water, combined with a shower control that doesn’t work properly so it’s easy to waste what water you do have trying to get something approaching the right temperature. This, coupled with a room that we could never get warm, didn’t make for a particularly comfortable stay, although we were warm enough under the bed covers. The Bircher muesli at breakfast needs consideration - the recipe as it is isn’t right.
