Historia Royal

Historia Hotel has a beautiful ambience. The restaurant serves delicious meals which was nice after a long day out. The room we booked showed pictures of a shower that was separated by a glass door. The room one of us received was not as per the pictures (the toilet was inside the shower). They did change it upon request but to a twin room. The room itself is lovely and the bath products were really nice. They also provided us with spa vouchers and the spas experience was amazing. They do get fully booked quite fast so be sure to make your booking upon check in.

Nothing at all!!!!

The rooms weren’t cleaned, the staff weren’t helpful at all!! The feel the value of money at all. We gave the car to valet parking but the staff was missing in the car oncw we got back. Extremely disappointed with the whole experience. Wouldn’t suggest anyone to stay here ever.

the electricity would cut out every 20 minutes, the food was way overpriced and we were not given the 15% discount on food as per our booking, the door key would need re scanning every single day, the wifi would need the password every 20 minutes, would need to sign in again, we tried to do laundry and it was 150 rupees for a t-shirt, we went to a local laundry and did it all for 750 rupees, the gym is useless, for locals this might be upscale for foreigners below mid-level the rooms are pretty small for what we paid, location not great either, 4 km from any of the sights.

The property is beautiful- the grounds are spectacular and the service was excellent. Very beautiful restaurants and great breakfast.

It is a bit difficult to get there but not an issue with taxi. A tuktuk would not take you there from the city.

We had a wonderful stay here at Historia Royal! The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and always attentive to our needs. We have been backpacking for a few months, and were in need of some comfort/luxury! The room was perfect. Super comfortable beds and big hot showers. The breakfast buffet was amazing!! So much variety and very tasty. We were very happy with the price too.The location is not so close to the main attractions of Udaipur, but we didn't mind this as taxis/tuk tuks were affordable and it was quiet.

- The rooftop pool surroundings could have been cleaner/better maintained. There were a lot of pigeons on the glass wall (which was quite dirty) and would often dip in the pool. The gully behind the pool was quite dirty too with some rubbish. The couches beside the pool were fine, but the wooden walkways were soggy and felt unstable/unsafe in parts. We also had an issue with a large family connecting their music to the big speakers and blaring music so loudly that even with noise cancelling headphones, I could still hear it perfectly. There were no staff around to manage this, and it tainted our experience of the pool a little as we were really hoping to relax. I also felt that staff usually working at the pool bar could be more attentive with taking orders, as they were often just standing behind the bar idle rather than checking with guests if they needed anything.- Our bathroom unfortunately was quite smelly at times and I think it was coming from the drains. This can be an issue in many places in India, but with an upmarket hotel I felt this issue could be faced better.- We had a couples massage in the spa and someone was talking loudly on video call outside the room for quite a while, followed by another conversation between two people (Possibly the man and woman on reception). Again, not so relaxing for a spa/massage experience.Overall we had a wonderful stay at the hotel and even stayed an extra night, but these are just some things to highlight that could have made our stay even better if rectified!

First off we had to extend our stay due to a medical emergency. We were booked in from March 3 to the 10th. I was in the Paras Hospital from the 8 to the 10th with a broken shoulder (happened in a hotel in Mumbai) I couldn’t travel after my surgery so we extended our stay from the 10th to the 17…only the 14 was fully booked. My husband was walking out the the door to return to the hospital when the clerk said Wait…they worked it out so we didn’t have to move. The staff has been friendly, helpful and provided excellent service. We have been using room service for most of our meals, delicious and very affordable. There is a beautiful pool and viewing area on the 6th floor rooftop. There is a spa and my husband loved it. The staff is outstanding

One thing only. The elevator goes to the 5th floor not the pool level. If I was 100 % mobile the stairs would be adequate with my injury I don’t feel safe going up there. Stunning views at night I am told.

A high majority of the staff were excellent. Only one showed little interest and that was the guy on the roof top bar. He would have received a better tip if he had concentrated on guests instead of his phone.

Wifi was terrible. Dropped out constantly. Almost impossible to log in to and had to get staff assistance on a number of occasions to access it.

Excellent floor manager at the restaurant. One that really gets you, your taste and recommend the right food for you. And the restaurant chef was very flexible with that.Also the receptionist was excellent.He managed things to quickly respond to needs

Noisy environment, from the street. The curtains cover dirty windows, and the sheets were dirty and had to be replaced. Also the floor was not clean enough, with other footsteps on it. All was cleaned after we requested cleaning and changing sheets

Historia Royal Hotel: A Great Place to Stay in UdaipurI had a fantastic time staying at Historia Royal Hotel in Udaipur. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the food was delicious, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel's location was perfect for exploring the city. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Udaipur.

Tired

Shower doesn’t work and take a long time to fix, wifi is so weak and slow, power plug/ outlet doesn’t work and take a long time to fix. Bathroom smells like sulfer. No body soap. I called reception over 10 times.

So far away from anything you’d want to see in Udaipur as international tourists, but that was our mistake.

Clean and tidy room with hot shower, air con and fan. Staff was helpful. The location is okay, a bit outside of the centre, but not too far. The gym and pool were okay. Breakfast was nice, plenty of choices.

The pool was a bit cold, heated would be nicer.After we had the room cleaned, we had to ask for towels.

Only Food

The rooms were not at all clean. We had to ask them to clean the rooms when we checked in. Once there were no hand towels & bath towels post they cleaned our room. A piece of food which we had pointed out to them at the time of checkin was there till the time we checked out. When they clean the room, they only make the bed. Nothing else.

Food was good. Service at restaurant is pathetic. The service guys doesn't know ABC of hopspitality industry. You have to ask for everyting from water to spoons.

Good Property and amenities

Poor service. Internet was down all throughout our stay. Nobody bothered fixing it or cared enough. Off putting location.

They had everything which was promised.Parking space insufficient.Good for money we spent.

Running hot water not enough hot when load increased.Also food preparation very average.Service in the restaurant needs good amount of improvement.

Great value for money, large comfortable rooms with all modern amenities. But best part was the buffet, food was pure veg, healthy and extremely tasty. And presentable Besides the hotel staff were very polite and helpful. Top deck pools side restaurant Saanjh made the stay very peace-full and view from top is very beautiful. Must visit
