Elmont Rafahiya - A Rooftop Lake View Hotel near Lake Pichola

Horrible facilities.. picture won't match the reality... totally mess you feel there..no maintenance of property..rooms smelling bad very unhygienic washroom..staff is too slow to respond.. location is far away from main market...we got trapped by seeing pictures assuming its very nice but the reality was very opposite... balcony is full up with pigeons feathers..omg!!! Tables are broken water logged no rooftop restaurant all broken with logged and dribbling water stinky and smelling common area with washroom exhaust and what not!!! I request please do justice to visitors dont trap them by showing such good picture when your hotel is not even close to match this....After seeing such conditions we checked out with in 3hours and leave asap.. we didn't complete our one day stay..the services are so horrible...our money just wasted... no refund as expected.....they almost spoil our mood and trip...

Staff is helpful

It's dirty, food area is broken apart, not worth going. We changed hotel after one night. The bathroom is full of hair.

there is nothing to like about this hotel. if getting a clean room to only stay the night is your thing then this hotel is ok. there is nothing else in it.

The pictures are utter lies. The lake is only visible from the terrace in the morning and the rooms are like matchboxes. This is near the lake but its inside a shabby area where it is not accessible by car. the hotel has a tuktuk but you have to pay to use it. they give you only checkin and checkout free. the public tuktuk will charge you Rs100 every time. The hotel doesn't even have amenities like a hairdryer or iron in the room. when asked for an iron they got a cheap small little thing. Everything was bad about the hotel.

The location

We booked 4 night at pax hotel after one month in India usually staying in budget guest houses. We decided we wanted to treat ourselves to a bit more comfort and luxury so upped our budget to stay here. Criterias/priorities for our search were Location, rooftop and swimming pool.We were pleased with the location, walking distance to the main things we wanted to see but far enough from the noise.The reception on arrival wasn't great with staff seemingly disinterested and almost annoyed we had turned up.The room was well decorated compared to our usual accommodation and clean and the bed was comfortable however it lacked natural light and smelled of damp and was cold. I was given an electric radiator on request.The main disappointment were the rooftop and the swimming pool. The rooftop was NOT the one in the pictures on the site. It was covered and dusty and littered. I had to clean my own chair and table to sit down. One of the staff was there and seemed annoyed  that i intruded his space. And yet did not initiate cleaning it for me to use it.But the view was beautiful.The swimming pool was more of an ornament  and was too dirty to swim in. It had pigeons feather (and who knows what else in its water) and had clearly not been cleaned or swam in in ages. Still we were encouraged to take a dip ... we didn't as did not wish to be sick.We were disappointed as we felt this hotel was false advertised, it was a lot of money from our travel budget. Sadly we would not stay again or recommend to our friends unless they adjust the price to reflect what they actually offer.  We saw other guesthouses with rooftop for 1500rupees a night that looked much brighter and with an actually accessible rooftop so if you are going to stay in Udaipur save your money and look elsewhere.

The traditional decor is nice. Breakfast is fine as well. The receptionist lady was helpful.

Bed sheets had few marks and hairs… else cleanliness was fine.

It looks good in pics only. Physically, it is very congested and lake is not visible unless you go to roof top. And that roof top is not at all clean. No maintenance there at all. The roof top pic you see is the only pic you can also take. The other side of that pic is pure garbage. And that blue color of chairs in that pic is already worn out.

Quiet location. Very friendly, helpful and honest staff. Excellent water pressure and hot water.

The rooms were very small. The washrooms were not clean and faucet was leaking. If you are travelling by your own vehicle then avoid this place as streets to reach this place are very narrow. Chances of your vehicle getting damages are very high.

It's a far from the nearby places that can be visited plus it's in very dark area you can't roam around alone they don't have any facilities for dining no one stays there.

Make sure you book hotel near lake pichola nd not here you'll got scammed by viewing property like us

not a good place

Dirty rooms & sheets. Very noisy room because of some fans noises. Very bad smells too. Hot water was not there in my room.Unpleasant staff.The Roof top and the swimming pool are just there for the photo but are not usable.The hotel is likely to be an annex of a next door hotel, aimed to host more people during peak times (Diwali when when we visited), this explain the very bad maintenance of the place.

Behaviour of receptionist

Facilities were very bad. Their Manager Mr. Himanshu was totally unprofessional. Breakfast was of very bad quality

The stay exceeded our expectations. Its very near to the main tourist places. The hotel staff were very friendly. The facilities are upto the mark.

The bathroom is littile small.

Spacious rooms, very neat, good amenities and great ambience. We had a comfortable and quiet, perfect & relaxing stay! We loved every minute and will definitely go back! I would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Proper heritage property near lake pichola. Pure refreshing atmosphere and ambience. They have lake view restaurant.

Pax rafahiya haveli is the remarkable heritage property the offer an outstanding experience. The staff is incredible helpful and polite. The food provided at the haveli is truly exceptional, offering a delightful culinary journey. Everything about pax rafahiya is excellent.

Pax rafahiya Haveli is neat and clean heritage property .the staff is very co operative food was very delicious .we enjoyed the swimming pool.it was an unforgettable experience to stay this hotel

Rooms were way tooo small at the price. Food was average at breakfast.

The structure has potential, and it is nicely located

The staff doesn’t really speak English so it was difficult to communicate. Rooms smell of mould, it is very humid and in one of our rooms AC was not working. For this price we had better stays in Rajasthan. But overall it was ok
