Poor service because of being under staffed

Helpful staff especially the front desk.

There was a sanitation issue in the Jacuzzi in our room. The front desk immediately agreed to move us to a different room. What I found concerning was the inconsistency in the amenities across similar category of rooms such as one room has a mini refrigerator while the other does not in the same category. there is some green algae, forming around the window. It should be maintained.

Stay was good. Staff were very polite and were ready to help.

The route which we had to take to the property was little difficult. Other than this everything was super good.

Waterfalls

1. The room lock was not working.2. The land phone was not working and they checked and went without repairing it.3. The mobile numbers mentioned in the information paper were not working (tried 3, out of 2 were not working and the other was not attended by any). There were not enough toiletries in the room, then I had to go to reception due to this unavailability of the telephones.4. The breakfast was only okay. Baked items were not fresh. The south indian foods were good.5. They mentioned indoor games on their website and really they don't care about their guests. The damaged furniture dumping area with damaged billiards table with some other games, all are neither can use nor maintained.6. Super noisy fan in the room.7. Totally disappointed stay. (Waterfalls inside were the only exception)8. Not value for money. It is not at all near to a 5* hotel/resort. Do not go there with the expectations of a 5*.

The View , Reception, restaurant, .. All surrounding .Staff Jijay Lakshmy especially who welcoming us with a care and guidance with a good smile .She is really star of the hotel .

Rooms are really clean and nice. Nice pool. Property is in a nature friendly location. Breakfast buffet was also great.

Loved our stay here the hotel is nestled between the forest in rains it's full of mist and fog a definite magical ambience ... rooms are comfortable food is really good and chef went out of the way to accommodate kids choice .. the property is in interiors of forest which give u great view and ambiance of the nature .. mornings u will get up to melodious sounds of birds .. if your lucky u can spot deers or elephants from your room ..they have beautiful private waterfall which is added bonus But the staff approach and their behavior takes the cake Vijaylakshmi at front desk .. Narmada at restaurant they were really helpful and made our stay comfortable and peaceful... will definitely visit again

Property is good but the service is very pathetic

Jaccuzi was not working and we are lucky not to get electrocuted. once jaccuzi was turned on it was short circuit and smoke everywhere. They later changed the room after 1 hr. Even checkin process was also time consuming. The rooms were not ready for occupancy at the time of check in. First time i had faced such horrible instance from booking through booking.com. The switches in the room were also damaged and the fan regulator was damaged. We struggled a lot in mid night to get the fan turned on. The amneties are not upto the mark the rate charged is very high as compared with the facilities provided.

Personally I liked almost everything about this property. From its remote entry to its steep roads. From its uphill rooms to its private waterfall. Everything was fantastic. The temperature was pleasant although it gets very cold in the pool. Food was exceptional. The chef there was an expert. A genuine pro. Everything that we tasted was just delicious. Beauty was all around. Munnar is probably among one of the best places in India and Elixir is among the top picks if you like a little bit of adventure and calmness. This place was slightly outside the main city area and needed some real hardwork to do up and down in case of any emergency. Finally the waterfall. It was the least promoted and most amazing fall that you can enjoy for hours without any kind of rush. 10/10 for waterfall ?

Rooms can be a bit more maintained. The kids play area was not kept properly. Our driver complains a lot about the elephants visiting the parking area and roads were so steep that reversing your car can be tricky.

The only thing good about the property is the hotel staff. Otherwise, nothing else in this property is good. The staff was cooperative, and the rest property rating is 0.

There was only one good thing about the property: the hotel staff.Property: 1. Property is located at a great location, but the management is soo poor. They have a private waterfall, but it was very poorly managed. Elixir Hills per night price should be INR 4000 to 5000. I paid a premium price, which was not worth it. 2. Swimming Pool - The pool is in front of the dining area with no changing room or locker. People were jumping in the pool in full clothes, and it was a horrible sight to see people coming out of the pool in full attire and walking around wholly wet, creating a mess in the alley. Plus, no one is there to clean it regularly. Imagine people walking wholly drenched in the hotel lobby.3. We got the worst room experience after paying 10000 per night. Plus, a terrible smell came out of one of the bathrooms. We stayed for two days and intentionally stayed out of the property and waited for the stay to be over. 4. First place, where they charge 20% extra to deliver the food to the room.5. Neither the view nor the stay at this property is worth any penny. Please look for other properties rather than going ahead with this one. It's soo badly managed - The pool table doesn't have chalk, the Table tennis table doesn't have a racket - One can imagine how poorly it must have been managed to miss these basic amenities. When we ordered ice, they didn't have an ice bucket; they served it in a bowl and covered it with foil paper.I never wrote a review, and first time writing this much. to save other people's experience as Munnar is gorgeous, and a bad stay could ruin the experience. Plus, we hardly get the time, and when it's ruined by such a nightmare stay, then it's worth mentioning and advising other folks not to spend a penny at this place.

Property location and views are picture perfect. It's one of kind. The property is 25 min drive from old munnar bus stand and it's the last resort ( the drive is awesome ) . Just note that you will not have any shops or restaurants other than the property provided. But not to worry every thing is taken care by property.

The rooms are big, however the service can be improved a lot. Small issues like charging sockets not working and water not properly draining and room service can be improved.

Swimming pool filled with dead insects and leaves.While swimming near the central tree, An insect fall from tree and bite on my finger which causes pain and swelling on my hand. I informed the reception and provided sanitizer. Then I applied the natural remedies for insect bite like mixture of turmeric powder,salt and coconut oil. I slept the whole night with shower cap on my hand to protect the white bedcover.All the above made my stay inconvenient.

property is poorly managed in terms cleanliness. Not worth the money that you spend for a night stay and doesn’t come close to what other resorts are offering, too pricey. There’s even dogs close to the pools and the surrounding are not clean.
