Beautiful property in great location. The staff was very helpful and courteous. I would strongly recommend to anyone visiting Munnar.

Nothing specific about the hotel per se. However, the price did not include breakfast as stated in the deal description.

Lovely historic property on plantation owned and staffed by warm, inviting people. Most helpful with logistics. Onsite plantation walk is not to be missed! Stay several days to make the most of your stay!

Absolutely nothing!

This is a lovely unique property. Rooms are spacious and the staff are excellent. Breakfasts were very good and generous portions. The tea and snacks in the afternoon were also appreciated. We enjoyed the both morning and afternoon guided tours / walks - made so enjoyable by the nature lover Meda.

The rooms were cold, even with the extra heaters which were provided. The showers in the rooms weren't great - a bit hit and miss on the heat and pressure. For an advertised boutique hotel, would have expected this to be better. The dinners are generous but average.

Great location amongst the tea plantations. Food and food service was exceptional. The bird watching and 2hr plantation walks were a highlight by very knowledgeable naturalists. A little expensive by Indian standards and room cleaning service was a little slack but otherwise well worth the stay.

Everyone at the resort did their best to make our stay as great as possible. The rooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable. The food was delicious and we missed nothing. I highly recommend going bird watching and the hike with the local ranger. Don’t miss the yoga class in the afternoon. If you want, you also get help in coordinating your visits in the area, such as:- getting the perfect driver ( car or rikscha) - visiting a tea factory, a clothing or paper manufacturer and - stroll through a tea garden. I am a frequent traveler in India. The Windermere Estate became one of my top 10 locations to stay.

Everything about this place is wonderful. It's high in the hills, surrounded by tea and cardamom plantations. There is birdsong everywhere and the resident naturalist Medha took us on superb nature and birdwatching walks. She was super - knowledgeable and lovely.Jacob looked after us extremely well, and supported us through my husband's unexpected admission to hospital in Munnar. We couldn't have navigated it all without him and we'll be forever grateful. The pool, the food, all the staff and the surroundings make this a little piece of heaven. We will return.

The staff were lovely and charming. The room was spacious. The location was beautiful

The mattresses were very hard, we had a view of a building site neighboured by a very large hotel with bright lights which obstructed our view of the valley. The road beneath our room was noisy at night. The swimming pool was beautifully located but there were only 2 sunbeds amongst all of the guests.

We loved our stay at Windermere. The staff were so helpful, helping us to decide what activities to do. The hotel also put on a few activities which was really nice. Bedrooms were super clean and food was great. Would definitely stay again.

Extremely welcoming and relaxed atmosphere with very friendly and attentive staff yet not intrusive. Great locally sourced food. The guides on the walks were trained knowledgable naturalists eager to share. Comfortable spacious room.

The location is outstanding, but the staff were what sold it for us - friendly, caring, attentive and smiles all round. They went above and beyond to help where needed. Thank you to everyone who assisted or served us

The rooms I think could do with a touch up - they are a little dated and miss some key things (soft towels, more hangers, better products in bathrooms) which is what you’d expect for what you pay for the rooms. The work is very bad in the rooms. You can only really use the internet in reception or eating area.

Magical place in a breathtaking location. Really welcoming and helpful staff who seemed to love their jobs. The room was beautiful, felt a little like stepping back in time with lots of period features. Great commitment to not having unnecessary plastic etc as well. Would really love to come back.

The car journey up the hills to reach this place is one to pack your travel-sickness medication for, but the incredible views are worth the effort.

We had a perfect stay. The location is tranquil and staff so lovely. The food was amazing and we especially loved the afternoon coffee and bakes. Would highly highly recommend.

The most perfect stay at a truly unique, charming, authentic estate. Not just a stay but lots of activities included, home in the plantation, morning bird watching and tea tasting sessions. Truly the best South Indian cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the chef was amazing and every meal comes to speak with you. The staff were wonderful. Cannot recommend Windermere enough.

We enjoyed the activities offered by the hotel and particularly appreciated the tour with Ansel who showed us the local fauna and flora. All of the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful! Overall the grounds were beautiful and the food was freshly made a delicious! Clean and cozy rooms too with great views on the surrounding hills.

No beers available at the restaurant but we've learned that Kerala hotels are mostly dry.
