Fragrant Nature Munnar -A Five Star Classified Hotel

Great hotel, with a stunning view of a valley full with tea plants! Hotel also had all facilities needed for a nice stay. Pool was great, as you could enjoy the great view whilst swimming around

Bathroom was somewhat small and the shower screen/door was not propperly installed, with result that water leaked throughout the bathroom whilst showering. It seemed they tried to fix it with sealant and a extra strip (see photo), but it did not work!

The location and view from the hotel was nice.

The furniture is too old. Also, at the website, there are no option to choose room of choice.

Amazing views and scenery. Food was very good too.

Lifts could be a bit slow at busy times but fine if you're fit as the stairs work!

Wonderful staff at all departments. They made our stay extremely pleasant. Will recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone. The facilities were also excellent and very clean.Each and every staff deserves praises.Will definitely choose this hotel when we visit Munnar again.

Polite staff, clean area, good view, good facilities.

The room had a terrace with such a nice view. It was so peaceful, nice place for relax and the SPA procedures were amazing.

The pool has no ambarellas or any shades.

The breakfast and dinner were excellent, and the views were absolutely stunning, especially from the restaurant balcony where we enjoyed our meals. Above all, the staff at the reception and restaurant were outstanding. A special thank you to Sachin and Armpits for their exceptional service and care. Their hospitality truly made our stay memorable!

Stunning views, gardens with flower arrangements. Balcony dining. Cooking demonstration. Enormous suite with two bathrooms, terrass, fireplaces and jacuzzi.

Minor remark: no shade at the pool area.

The staff at check-in were very pleasant. The hotel is well located, around 15 minute drive from Munnar town. The view from our room was very beautiful, the pool is lovely and our room was comfortable and large.

This does not feel like a 5 star hotel experience at all, and several things really let the hotel down.Firstly, their website states they have a bar. There was no bar to be found. So, in the evenings, there is no nice communal area to sit and socialize with an alcoholic drink, just a rather weird "games room". Generally the atmosphere at the hotel is quite depressing and honestly I didn't see any guest crack a smile the whole 3 nights we were there.Secondly, the food was quite nice but extremely overpriced; it was 5 times more expensive than a meal we had in Munnar town and not nearly as tasty.But the worst experience of all was the spa, where I had the worst massage of my life. I arrived for my appointment and a grumpy spa receptionist just glared at me when I told her I was there for a massage; she began muttering with her colleague before responding to me (it was 7pm and it was like she wanted to go home & was annoyed with me - but I'd made an appointment!). To my discomfort I quickly learned that this was the lady who was going to be administering my massage. Where to begin? Terrible massage technique, no finesse, simultaneously too soft AND too hard in all the wrong moments. The ambience in the room was all wrong (ticking clock, ringing phone, at one point I opened an eye to see that she was checking her phone).What was unforgiveable was the lack of training in regards to properly draping towels for modesty. After she massaged my back she brusquely told me to turn over. I placed a towel to cover my chest, to which she pulled it off of my body and then massaged my breasts with no consent.When I explained this all to the man at reception upon check-out, he just shrugged and gave me a feedback form to fill in - no concern expressed, no apology, and certainly no refund or discount offered.

The view from our room was amazing. The pool was beautiful. The staff was very helpful.

The gym can use an urgent update. The rooms are a bit dated and need some upgrades. Breakfast was mediocre.

No alcohol options

The hotel was nice, once reached.

The property played fraud by cancelling one of my bookings (4151.712.912) saying that Credit Card was declined, whereas no such attempt was reported by my bank. Had to book alternative rooms offered by the property at double the price during peak season. Tried the same trick with my second booking a few days later, but I had separately paid full amount in advance and forestalled another cancellation. This property tries to make a quick buck by cancelling reservations and re-selling the rooms at higher rates.

Sewer smell in room. They tried to clean but still smelled.

Not much to say. For a five star I would expect a better breakfast. More choice. Other five star hotels we have stayed at have had better breakfasts

Hotel was ok. Personel friendly. Good tours with Manimaran, very knowledgeable Gentleman who explained everything very well. Restaurant ok.

The adjoining room was used for staff. Someone snoring loudly all night long. Loud music in addition from 4 a.m. we didn’t sleep all night! Shame that afternoon tea was served in the games room instead of in the coffee lounge.

The most amazing views of Munnar and the food was just too good... we loved the rooms and facilities around ! The misty clouds surrounding the hotel makes it surreal experience!!

The gym needs a revamp.. it's a small space and even two people working out fills up leaving no place for a third person

Food was really good, I loved the fact that the staff kept checking the food quantity and availablity and kept refilling until the last guests. And mainly the chef would keep checking every single time if the food is sufficient and the satisfaction which I was really impressed. Also the entire staff was welcoming and friendly
