Blackberry Hills Munnar Nature Resort & Spa

It’s the most perfect place!! The room was big and beautiful, the staff amazing and helpful, the facilities, the pool and garden area and restaurant were all incredible. The view from the hotel is breathtaking.Take into account the hotel area has no restaurants around it so you’ll need to have most of your meals there.

We had an amazing time at the BlackBerry Hills hotel in Munnar. Our room had jaw-dropping views of the Munnar plantations from our private balcony and every little detail was well prepared. Our room came with a jacuzzi and the mood was private, romantic and inspiring. The food at the restaurant was delicious and we had a great time discovering Kerala cuisine each day. We booked a trek throughout the Munnar plantations and hill tops that was truly beautiful. I highly recommend this location for couples wanting a quiet and romantic getaway.

Not really suitable for solo travelers more suited to romantic couples and families. Transport is an issue - make sure to have your own driver

Serene location where you can listen to the birds and have a breathtaking view of the tea gardens in the valley.

There are carts to take you close to rooms but you need to climb up and down steps to get to room, restaurant and pool.

This property is in an amazing location. The valley views are stunning. Being in the trees, seeing birds and monkeys was nice. We loved the restaurant and the staff. Our room was lovely and had a balcony.

The bathroom could use renovation. The tub is unusable and there is a bit of smell.

The hotel is using an external service provider called StayFlexi for their booking management that has access to their booking.com account (and maybe more). StayFlexi sent me a WhatsApp message asking to pay using some online payment provider. The property confirmed to me that this first message from StayFlexi is legit and was sent as intended even though in a later email they claim "we never request payments or share payment links via personal email, WhatsApp..." which cannot both be true so at some point someone was not telling the truth here.Shortly after that StayFlexi got hacked which meant criminals got access to all the booking.com data of the property which included full names, booking dates, email addresses and phone numbers of all current customers. This led to lots of fraudulent WhatsApp messages, messages on booking.com and emails all leading to pages designed to look like booking.com asking you to input your credit card data.After I contacted the property they sent out emails warning customers of these fraudulent messages. But they did NOT take any obvious security measures to cut off the hacked service from their system (a simple password change would have done wonders) because for several days after that there were still scam messages asking for credit card payment being sent from their own booking.com account.This whole situation and how it was handled seemed very unprofessional.We were awoken by very loudly playing children at 6 AM (until 7:30 AM). Staff walked by several times but did not seem to care.The food was quite mediocre and made us bloated.Restaurant staff really insistently tried to push us to decide what we want to eat long before dinner started. And then when we decided on something we were told that it wasn't available because apparently a whole section of the menu reception sent us is not up to date.

Leaking shower and generally dirty bathroom, beds also felt slightly damp like the sheets hadn't fully dried. Masseuse could do with a little more training (e.g. deep tissue pressure wasn't particularly targeted)

We absolutely loved our stay at BlackBerry Hills! The food was excellent, the views were incredible, and the staff was so warm and friendly. They helped with all our queries. There are beautiful places to walk right around the property. They can help arrange beautiful hikes and excursions. We highly recommend the Letchmi walk. The staff truly enhanced our stay. The pool was perfect. It’s a wonderful escape in the hills!

This resort was just perfect. Everything from the property, the rooms, all the facilities, the views, sounds of the birds, all just incredible. The food was amazing - breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff were so helpful and kind. A must for anyone staying in Munnar!

Nothing. Perfcection.

This little clutch of bungalows is built into the side of a mountain. Rooms have a living area, sleeping area, a clean and generous bathroom, and a balcony. Stunning views into the valley below, dozens of different kinds of chirping birds, and an eco-friendly vibe make this a good place to relax. Since it is on a winding mountain road, there are no services within walking distance. You'll need a car and/or a someone to drive you everywhere. No doubt the staff will be eager to help you.

Be prepared to hike up and down the property along steep stone pathways. The restaurant is at the bottom, reception is at the top. In wet weather, it could be easy to slip. The pool is smaller than it looks in photos.

Loved each and every moment of our stay. Staff was extremely hospitable and made our stay memorable. View from the property was astounding. There inhouse restaurant offers amazing food at good pricing which makes it a better alternative to stay here. Will definitely recommend others to stay here.

The location is beautiful, the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly and the restaurant serves great food

We started in a room with quite a dirty bathroom, dead flies on the wall, some hairs in the shower, no hot water and quite a bit of damp smell. The room was very damp due to the monsoon season which is understandable, especially in the clouds. We changed rooms for the second night and had hot water and were given a dehumidifier which solved the damp problem at least in the bedroom, however it still smelled a bit of mildew. The best feedback I could give would be to include a dehumidifier in each room during the monsoon and would recommend guests stay here in the drier periods as its not perfectly built for this season.

We had a lovely time. They upgraded our room so we had an amazing view. Food was good and staff really helpful. A great trip.

This place feels like you’re in the heart of the nature. The songs of the birds and the whole fauna here are mezmerizing. The personnel is the nicest, very polite and attentive - a big thank you to all of you! Definetly recommend it!

A wonderful location set on the side of a mountain with stunning views. The food was delicious and we also enjoyed the yoga classes in the morning and the spa treatments. Our room was spacious and had a lovely balcony to watch the sunrise. We liked the Shola trek in the morning as well.

I loved the entire stay, it was very lovely. Staff were very helpful and very friendly. The spa was very relaxing as well as soothing. Views were amazing and I felt very peaceful. There was a bonfire, yoga class as well as a tea testing organised by the resort. The restaurant Hornbill has amazing food as well as an amazing view. Even the room was very clean and it looks very fancy. Everything was maintained perfectly. Everywhere you go from the resort, you find amazing hiking routes. The resort even arranges cab if you need it. I loved my stay, it was amazing.

Honestly nothing to complain about!

Amazing view over the hills and valley, particularly when we were enjoying the complementary yoga classes each morning. A fantastic way to start the day. Food at the hotel is good, lots of choices for breakfast and an even bigger lunch and dinner menu.

Communication from staff not the best at times. Booked a tea tasting and then went out for the day. Made sure to come back on time for the tea tasting only to find out it had been changed to the next morning which was a time after we were checking out.
