It was terrible.. No Debit cards or credit cards swiping facility, No view from the balcony, only the food was Above average. washroom's were smelly . Overall experience was poor & unsatisfactory.

I had the misfortune of staying at Le Celestium in Munnar with my wife and child, and it turned into one of the worst experiences of our lives. The trouble began when we ordered food from their restaurant – all three of us fell severely ill with food poisoning that night. What could have been a manageable situation turned into a nightmare due to the hotel’s utter lack of care and support.Throughout the night, my wife, my child, and I suffered from relentless vomiting and frequent motions. With only one bathroom in our room, we were in desperate need of help, but the staff’s response was shockingly cold. We pleaded for access to an extra bathroom – a basic request given our condition – but they flatly refused, citing their policies. Greedy and insensitive doesn’t even begin to describe their attitude. We were left to struggle in misery, taking turns in agony, with no assistance or empathy from the management.The next morning, still weak and exhausted, we had to prepare for a 12-hour drive back to Bangalore. I asked for something as simple as a few bananas(which I offered to pay) to help us regain some strength for the journey, but even that was denied. The hotel managerial staff showed zero compassion or willingness to help. The only silver lining was a kind Bengali housekeeping staff member who, out of his own goodwill, assisted me in gathering our belongings and getting ready to leave. He was the sole human touch in an otherwise heartless establishment.The drive back to Bangalore was a horror story in itself – no sleep, no food, and still reeling from the sickness, all thanks to Le Celestium’s negligence and indifference. This hotel isn’t just a disappointment; it’s a place that lacks basic humanity. If you value your health, peace of mind, and expect even a shred of support in times of need, avoid Le Celestium at all costs. We paid premium for a stay and food, but what we got was suffering and abandonment. Never again.

One of the worst experiences. No kettle. Restricted hot water, bad location, run down property. Breakfast was non existent.

Great room, balcony, good hot water and WiFi. Staff - especially Douglas, but actually everyone - was kind and helpful. Would stay again.

Breakfast not fantastic - limited Western options - though ate twice Fordingbridge and food v good.

Nice place to stay in the middle of the town . Close to nearby attractions. Staff was courteous.

The room was good and clean and the stay was good as well. Family suite was also spacious.

The family suite could have 2 bathrooms for more convenience and a separate veg kitchen for strictly vegetarian guests would also be good.

The rooms were so old and worn out. The side tables were rotting away. The bathrooms and bins in the rooms were dirty and not cleaned properly after previous customer. I didn’t shower because I didn’t want to use the bathroom.The pillows were so dirty. Like you could see dry old saliva stains from previous people who slept. We had to ask them to replace 2 pillows. The rooms had balcony but couldn’t step out because it was dirty and had bird poos. The property was rated as 4 star that’s why we booked. This property does not even rate for a 2 star. The photos on the website are deceiving. No small fridge even in the room which is a standard in most facilities now. Very disappointed.

The rooms need soundproofing, you can hear each and every sound from ground floor, from other rooms, from people in corridors, in your room. It is difficult to sleep at night and noises wake you up early morning. The kitchen closes at 9. Some days they choose to do a buffet and in that case you can’t order anything else at all. Things like sofa, air purifier etc mentioned on site are not present in room. We were four people and there were only two chairs in both the rooms combined.

The rooms were very clean and spacious. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The location is also quite good

The washroom was pretty small, had no exhaust fan, and the glass on the door was sprayed white to make it non-transparent, but the job was not done well and therefore if the lights were on inside the washroom, anyone standing outside could see the one sitting on the toilet, which is not very comfortable and private

The staff was great and very helpful. Restaurant staff checked on us if we wanted dinner or breakfast. Everyone was super helpful

Washroom could be better but I guess our expectations were little high . But no complaints

Our car had an accident and we had to stay 3 hours longer than the checkout time to fix the car, they charged us half a days rent. The restaurant food wasn’t good, including coffee or tea. The windows and doors are too thin and you won’t be able to sleep at least until 12 am due to the noise from the road. You will hear the noise from the road again at 6:30 am. You can also hear the noise from the neighbouring rooms.

1. Room size, not spacious, felt congested. Good for a solo business trip. 2. No hot water at all times. Munnar has relatively cooler temperatures and needs hot water. 3. Food - don't dare to try here. Would rate 0/5. 4. Extra person not considered well. If not possible they shouldn't accept the booking.
