I had my own little hut. Lovely little balcony with spectacular views over the tea plantations. The room had a kettle, so I could make a cuppa in the morning. The location is great if you want to be away from noise and other people.Nice staff but a special mention of Sibin. He was fantastic. Beaming smile and nothing he wouldn't do for us.

My recommendation would be to check if their credit card machine works unless you have Google pay or similar. It is far away from an ATM. Fortunately, I had enough cash. But this should have been communicated to us earlier.

Hotel has a wonderful view over tea plantations. Quite isolated but an ideal respite after a day out. Rooms are modern big and comfortable. Bathroom big, but no shower curtain/screen ( normal Indian standard wet area) means it get very wet. Staff member Sibin was amazing! He was always smiling and ready to assist. A true asset tothe establishment.

Would love more place to hang bath towels to dry. Hotel did not have credit/debit card reading machine operational, and unfortunately did not mention it prior to checkout. Come with cash! Wifi poor and both it and power keeps dropping out.

Calm... Superb food.... Clean room and wash room.... Beautiful scenery from the room. Altogether ??????????

The location is great. The rooms are aesthetic and has a beautiful balcony. One can spend a whole day sitting there. Roads are very much drivable. The Manager is very friendly and helpful.

The service was slow. Water bottles (complimentary) which were supposed to be given every had to be called in for. Even glasses had to be called in for. The bed sheet was torn at places. Breakfast starts really late at 8.30 am. If you are supposed to leave early, then you will not get breakfast. And yes they charge 150 INR for onion salad.

We had a great time at the Forestscape resort in Munnar. We book a bit last minute but they still manage to book a jeep safari for us in the afternoon. It was a great experience to visit the tiger cave and the different waterfalls but the highlight of the tour were, of course, the elephants. Our guide was super friendly and knowledgeable. We stayed in one of the cabins, with amazing views of the tea plantation. Also, we would like to mention Sibil who was really attentive with us and always with a smile. We had dinner and breakfast at the resort and it was delicious.Overall very happy we chose to stay here-recommended!

Extremely serene location. One will fall in love with picturesque views of tea garden from room”s big windows and large balconies. Staffs are very friendly and welcoming. Like to mention an extremely generous staff named “ Sibin” for arranging a bonfire on request . Another staff arranged a speaker . Thanks to both of them . Also like to mention “Amal “for guiding us to great spots of Munar . Good music along with bonfire made a perfect getaway. Loved the hospitality. Thanks for treating us this great. Waiting for my next visit same place same location same room . All the best . Take care

I loved the location and view from the estate. The rooms were clean. The food was delicious at the restaurant. They make a bonfire for us in the evening after dinner.

When we reached the room after a long drive, we found the toilet seat broken. After that the bathing area had a soap tray which had a loose screw and was slanting so the soap kept slipping. The pipe under the wash basin was leaking. The light outside the room was not working. The restaurant was difficult to get to as we had to climb up on a rock followed by stairs. The glass water bottle was unclean with a yellow base. There were a lot of power cuts and we could not use the plug points for charging phones and many lights were also not working during that time.During check out there was no one at the reception even after repeatedly asking the other staff. We had to leave early which we had informed the day before. They also asked for a very high price for a taxi to visit Kolukumalai. They asked for a total of ₹7500 but we arranged it for ₹6000 only.Overall, we would not recommend staying there.

Pearched on a hill side overlooking a beautiful tea plantation. The rooms were big with a balcony and a great view down the valley. There was no air con, just a fan, but to be fair that was enough. Due to the altitude you didnt need air con. We ate at the hotel, there didnt seem anywhere else around. The food was fine and the staff couldnt do enough for us. They were very attentive. When we booked the accommodation we were quite excited about it having a pool. When we got there were told that the pool was undergoing maintanence. That was an understatement, it looked like it had been undergoing maintenance for a considdrable amount of time ha ha.The staff were happy to light a camp fire at night. All in all a more than decent hotel, far from the maddening crowd.....just dont get your hopes up about the pool!

The view is amazing, warm atmosphere, the rooms incredible with the view on plantations, food is good, staff is very kind, especially Sibin and Ahul.

Nothing. Staff were friendly, but going on holidays is not to meet friendly staff, but to relax and enjoy.

To start with, there is confusion regarding room type. We booked Deluxe Room, we were given airframe. Tiny airframe- no space to keep or hang clothes, doors don’t close properly, towels , toothbrush, tissues and paste not supplied. Kitchen area can’t be more dirty. Came for a relaxed getaway, sitting I the airframe balcony, there was non stop local traffic till late night.

This lovely retreat is hidden away among tea plantations which spread out as far as the eye can see. We were welcomed by Sibim and Athul who offered us a cup of delicious tribal coffee - a welcome treat after several hours on the road. Our room had the most fabulous view across the hills to the mountains beyond. Breakfast each day consisted of local dishes - mild curries and rice accompaniments - as well as toast with jam and butter, omelette, coffee or tea, and beautiful watermelon and pineapples, which are grown locally. Forestscape also offers lunch and evening meals, all cooked fresh, using quality ingredients, to the excellent standard and the excellent value for money we've come to expect after a fortnight in Kerala. On an evening we could enjoy the cool air on the balcony or sit around the camp fire and listen to music. The beautiful and peaceful surroundings are ideal for relaxing on the balcony and admiring the view, but there are plenty of opportunities for hiking - we went into the forest on our own, but on another day we arranged a guided hike and this was much better. For 300 rupees our guide, Thomas, took us high up into the forest, pointing out plants and animals - we ate cardamom seeds, green peppercorns and wild raspberries straight from the plant, and we saw giant Indian squirrels and monkeys in the trees. This was among the best things we've done in Kerala so far.The hotel staff can arrange for a tuktuk to take you to a cave system where a tiger lived until it was flooded out, and then on to an elephant watering hole - we were lucky enough to see a female and a male elephant drinking there. Munnar town is well worth a visit - the bazaar is a riot of colours, sounds and smells! On the day we visited there was a festival going on at the Hindu temple and we watched a vibrant procession of dancers, drummers and music. Finally a great big thank you goes to Sibim at Forestscape who could not do enough for us - nothing was too much trouble.

One word of advice for international tourists - Google pay only works if you have an Indian bank account. Make sure you have enough cash to cover your bill.

The view from the room is stunning! It’s a quiet place, beautifully located. You definitely need a car. Very friendly staff!

Communication with was extremely poor. The room and shower were not clean. Shuttle that was organised through reception stoped at random places on the way to run personal errands. I would not go here again as a solo traveller.

Staff very helpful. A big thank you to Salim for helping us with arrangements - TukTuk, Jeep Safari and transfer to Cochin Airport.Large spacious rooms.Fabulous view of tea plantation and forest

breakfast was good and service to the room if requested was much appreciated.

Production of the bill was slow. I requested the amount the evening before we left so I could do a bank transfer. despite several reminders it did not apear until it was too late to do as our taxi was waiting. I had to use a mix of sterling and cash thatI would have preferred to keep.
