Chandys Drizzle Drops

Beautiful property in a stunning location 40 km away from Munnar town. Room was spacious, functional and clean, and had a beautiful view over the valley. Food was very good and staff was helpful. They helped us with booking a driver for our return to Kochi too.

Not the fault of the property but there is a lot of traffic between Munnar and the hotel, it took us three hours to get there and back (maybe due to the end of year holidays, not sure). The driver that took us back to Kochi was not the best, constantly driving while on the phone.

The food was good and the staff was decent.

The heated infinity pool is a false promise. There is no heating available. The premium suite showed photo with a bath tub inside the room which turned out to be photo of some other room. So room too wasn’t as promised. The riser of steps leading to the room were uneven which could result in a person falling down and there are no real medical facilities available as the property is very secluded.

Superb location and very well designed rooms. Particularly liked the glass frontage in the rooms, so we got up every morning to the lovely mountain views from our beds.

Felt weird and distrusted that the property asked us to pay for the rooms fully in advance at check in! We could hardly run away without paying with our luggage and our cars parked in their lot!!

The location is very pretty and relaxing. The staff is attentive and friendly. Highly recommend this place for a tranquil getaway. Great breakfast.

Stayed at this hotel earlier this month . There is nothing not to like... The hotel is out of this world. The view is spectacular, the food delicious and the staff some of the most hardworking and attentive I've ever met. The rooms are beautiful and absolutely spotless. Serene and peaceful, this hotel is a true oasis. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful!

Outstanding location with breathtaking views from your room. The property was very well maintained wit a delightful garden. Tasty food : service and staff were attentive and efficient. Visit to tea plantations and factory were enjoyable. Bonfire was a nice opportunity to finish your day .

Stunning location, attentive staff and amazing room. Well worth the long, long journey to get there.

There is no bar, as is the case in many hotels, just our personal preference. Try not to travel at the weekend as we were caught up in huge delays around the reservoirs. Obviously neither of these issues are Chandy s fault, we are just preparing guests.

The track road which leads to the hotel is very uncomfortable. The hilltop station more than 1hr drive from Munnar. So someone travelling from far should take that into consideration

Everything - heavenly location above the clouds, charming staff, fab showers lots of hot water and pressure, great massages, lovely food

- The view from the room is lovely when the mist clears. - We were generously upgraded to the Royal Suite.

- Seven hour unpleasant drive from Fort Kochi. - The service is attentive but extremely inefficient, e.g. meals were consistently late. - Food varied between mediocre to poor. - Room had all the mod cons but devoid of character. - In short, this is not an international standard five star hotel in terms of service and finish.

The rooms are made well, the food is very nice and the service was top.

I had different expectations for this property. After traveling so far to reach the serene mountain tops, I was hoping for peace and tranquility. Unfortunately, the experience fell short. The loud music during the bonfire and poorly soundproofed rooms made it hard to enjoy the calm we were seeking.Privacy was another issue. Sitting on the balcony felt uncomfortable, as it allowed others on the property a clear view inside, which was quite intrusive.If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat, this might not be the ideal choice. There are better options in Munnar that offer more serenity and value for a lower price.

We were upgraded to the Royal Suite when we stayed here for 2 nights this Christmas, and couldn’t believe our luck! The view is absolutely incredible and the room features a hot tub, sauna and steam room! It was like staying in our own personal spa! The staff were lovely and very attentive. Since it was Christmas we were treated to carols, live music and fireworks, and the food was incredible for every meal. Highly recommended!

Excellent location, food and serviced

Absolutely beautiful place - view is probably the best I've ever had from a hotel. Sitting out on the balcony was delightful. Hotel restaurant also excellent. And the staff are brilliant.

The gym is not really a gym. And it is a real trek to get to - but once you're there, it's a really lovely vibe.

While our overall experience at Chandys was outstanding, we found that the spa area could use some attention. The massage was mediocre and did not provide the relaxation and rejuvenation we had hoped for. The spa facilities themselves felt dated and in need of a revamp. Updating the spa's interior, enhancing the range of treatments, competent therapist, and improving the quality of services would greatly elevate the overall guest experience.

Intermittent power supply means repeated switchover to generator (lights and electronics go off and on again - with lots of beeping)Lots of small details weren’t right for the price (jacuzzi bath didn’t work, no ventilation or AC in the pretty hot gym, campfire only for an hour at odd time, only two pool loungers at the small - and cold - pool, no list of possible hiking routes and verbal descriptions were confusing)Some of the construction and decor is pretty tacky for me (fake rock facades, plastic grass in the garden, plastic chairs on the balcony partially blocking the views)Booking process was poor - request for 100% prepayment but their payment provider doesn’t take overseas credit cards and other reports of bank transfers suggest they didn’t work either Poor arrangement of onwards travel - we confirmed with them they would send a large vehicle but on the day a small sedan turned up

Location is for the view but far from activities. They have a play room but there was a ball missing in the pool and the gym was a bit outdated.

Great ambience, lovely staff and an exceptional view from the room especially during the golden hours. The food was delicious, and the staff were really friendly and courteous. Will definitely recommend to visit.
