Our stay began on a positive note with punctual pickup from Cochin, expertly managed by Mr. Retheesh. The journey to Munnar was smooth and well-coordinated.What truly sets Chandy's Windy Woods apart is its authentic Kerala atmosphere. The hotel is staffed by local people who bring genuine warmth and authenticity to every interaction. You immediately feel welcomed into Kerala's culture, not just as tourists but as guests.Food & HospitalityThe culinary experience was exceptional - delicious Kerala cuisine served with no hesitation and true hospitality. Every meal was a treat, and the staff's willingness to accommodate guests was evident throughout our stay.FacilitiesEven on rainy days, we were never bored thanks to the excellent recreation room. The facilities are well-maintained and perfect for families looking to spend quality time together. Our room's balcony offered stunning views that made every morning coffee special.Suggestions for ImprovementWhile our experience was overwhelmingly positive, I have a couple of constructive suggestions:Outdoor Dining Service: The outdoor dining area has great potential, but could benefit from additional staffing during busy periods. We noticed one large family requiring constant attention from a single staff member while other tables waited. Consider adding more servers during peak times, and perhaps offering this as a premium dining experience with table service to justify additional charges.Live Entertainment: The live singing sessions are lovely, but incorporating more Malayalam songs would enhance the authentic Kerala experience. After all, we travel all the way to Kerala to immerse ourselves in local culture - if we wanted hindi entertainment, we could have stayed closer to Capital!

This is a gorgeous hotel with outstanding views! The rooms are large and comfortable. The restaurants serves delicious food with an excellent selection. The staff is wonderful - very pleasant and helpful.

Wonderful stay at Chandy windy woods.Good ambience, good environment. Food was excellent, rooms were spacious and clean. All the staffs are friendly. Rajeswari helped us with all concerns. Excellent hospitality!!Overall had pleasant stay.

The size of the room is great.

Staffs couldn't deliver few things. Like, water and coffee refill was not done in the night after requesting.

Good location of the hotel with a view of tea estate. Staff is under trained for a 5 star designation hotel. All the way from reception to restaurant staff. Not a 5 star service level, more like a 3 star.The pool was dirty. Some female guests were in the pool with full dress & no swimwear. The pool shower was out of order & no towels. Not a 5 star standard.The bathrooms are small without a tub, which should be a requirement for 5 star designation.At best, this hotel should be a 4 star. Room charges are excessive for the amenities provided.Will not stay here again.

one of the best place to stay in munnar. property has a great view. Room size was huge.food was also great. There is lot of activities to be done at the resort.

Located plum in a tea plantation overlooking the valley below. Beautifully designed reception as was our room type - premium deluxe. Food delicious, staff exceptionally helpful and friendly, attentive at meal times and organised trips for us, as well and helping organise our next journey down to Thekkady. Massage good too!

The lifts - we were on the lowest block and it gets a bit wearing going from lift to lift… 3 or 4 maybe to get to reception. I’m also not sure why they put us in a lower floor room - it was almost empty maybe twenty people at most.. I understand as we have a duel view room and that’s only possible on two lower blocks but we could have had the next one up maybe…. And there was a huge tree obscuring the view from the balcony (not suggesting anything) just that they should say this room has a limited view from the balcony.

Luxury hotel. Very clean facilities. Excellent service. Great wifi connection.

Food was very good, but not exceptional. There should be an indoor and outdoor jacuzzi and/or adult pool. When we were there a very loud family was playing in the pool.

Both the hotel and its location were beautiful. All of the staff we spoke with were really friendly and helpful, especially Pradeep, Restaurant Manager and all of his staff. They went above and beyond to make our stay special.

The views, views, views....

The rooms were musty, especially bathroom. Could use better air circulation in the bathroom. I know the hill station weather is the reason for the dampness, etc. But better care can be done

We really enjoyed our stay here! The staff is attentive and friendly! We were traveling as a family -2 adults and 2 kids ages 3 and 7, and the staff was so kind! The location is gorgeous in the mountains of Munnar. The indoor trekking is really cool and enjoyable. The food in the restaurant was delicious! There is also a game room with air hockey and a pool table that was great for letting our kids play. We had such a nice, relaxing time there -would recommend to anyone!

Not 5 star hotel

I had an incredibly disappointing stay at this hotel. Despite requesting a baby crib two hours prior to check-in and receiving confirmation from the receptionist, no crib was arranged when we arrived. To make matters worse, the room was far from clean – we found hair on the towels and a dirty toilet mat, which was unacceptable for a hotel claiming to be five-star.The check-in process was unnecessarily intrusive and frustrating. The supervisor asked endless questions even after I made it clear that we were tired and needed to rest. This lack of consideration for guest comfort was shocking.The room facilities were subpar – the power socket didn’t work, leaving us unable to charge our devices. Additionally, the breakfast was a complete letdown, with extremely limited Western food options and poor quality overall.This hotel is far from deserving of its five-star rating. It feels like they’re misleading guests with false claims. I would never recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and hassle-free stay.

Exceptional service I received from the staff, particularly Swathi Binoy and Pradeep. Swathi went above and beyond to ensure that every request was met with efficiency and a smile. She was attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcomed throughout our stay. My child enjoyed her company. Pradeep was equally commendable, providing excellent support in the dining area. He ensured that our meals were enjoyable and catered to our preferences, which added a personal touch to the experience.The attention to detail, from check-in to check-out, was remarkable. The hotel’s ambiance was soothing, with beautifully decorated common areas, and the location made it easy to explore nearby attractions.

Chandys is a fantastic hotel in a great location with fantastic views. Everyone was very helpful and nice.

The pool was a bit not enough deep to swim but it was nice and it was heated. The food was very nice but I a little bit overpriced.

The location is beautiful. The artificial forest and waterfall are superb and a great hike. The room was a bit underwhelming for a 5* hotel and could be better furnished. The bed was very comfortable. The restaurant is very good with impeccable service and a stunning view.

The fact that a 5* hotel has no facilities for Netflix or YouTube is not acceptable. There were only 2 English TV channels, which should not be the case in a luxury hotel.

Very friendly staff, they go above and beyond to meet your needs. The view from the resort is very beautiful. Food was also wonderful.

Very clean and comfortable. Excellent facilities. Views are incredible. Staff all very friendly and helpful.

There is nothing really negative to say. The only slight issue was that, on occasion, we felt a little overwhelmed by the staff’s attention eg when they phoned 20 minutes before breakfast finished to check where we were!
