I like the area, and it's opening to beach side. They serve water in glass bottles. Staffs are friendly

The room was nice but not great for the price i have paid. The washroom was below average, it's clean but didn't match the expectations. And had to wait for checkin more than 1 hour

The location

The private beach was closed on Sundays, which seemed unusual. The room size was listed as 19 m², but it was actually less than 10 m². The food quality was poor, with very limited breakfast options. Although the resort has four floors, there is no lift. The photos shown on Booking.com do not match this property.

Bed was not very comfortable. Noise aircorn. Could be more cleaner.Access to the beach was restricted due to water logging.

The whole ambience. It's a busy hotel at times, but it still remains quiet and tranquil. The gardens are calming, but, on a slop leading down to the sandy beach, which is really nice.

For us, we found nothing to complain about. I feel the only thing to bear in mind is that the property is well established and some rooms and bathrooms may need a little renovation work at some time in the near future.

Great location, polite staff, good food and nice rooms with a view of the beautiful private beach.

Car parking is limited and not covered.

Cottage type rooms, cleanliness of the rooms. Some of the foods are oilly, the staff are not helping. they could not give us the room in good order which we booked with much more money.

Beach is very good. Room is very good with facilities. breakfast is also very good. It was a very pleasant experience with Soma Palmshore.

Horrible service. Certainly not the place to go with kids. The staff is rude and non responsive. The food in the restaurant is average at best. They served previous night's left over dessert in the breakfast. The mandatory gala dinner on Christmas eve was a scam with disappointjng spread of buffet. They charged exhorbitant amount for this dinner and one can not even opt out of it. Even for something as basic as water, we needed to request multiple times. The security is a joke. Random men were roaming around our cottage, peeping inside. The bathroom had a horrible smell all the time. After complaining multiple times about it also there was no resolution. For everything there was just one excuse that because of peak season they are not able to handle. Finally, there is a clear favoritism towards foreigners and we clearly felt being discriminated against. Overall, it was a very bad experience and we would never recommend anyone to go to this place.

It was a old and expired facility . Need immediate renovation or to be closed . With lot of hygiene issues . Overall low quality furnishing and installations done . I found a leech in the toilet

The room was fantastic, as it was right in front of the beach, and very close to the pool. The staff were incredible, and very kind, and helpful. If anyone of you reading this, get's a chance to meet Jolly from the restaurant, let him know that Gandhi from Canada says hello. The room was in the perfect place, as it was very close to the beach, and to the left of the pool. If you get a chance, ask the pool guy to get a coconut from the tree, and they will cut it down for you, so you can enjoy your fresh coconut by the pool.

This is not applicable for Soma Palmshore.

We had a few mishaps with our room. The hotel manager was very obliging to assist with our issues & compensated us by providing a complimentary lunch & dinner, in which we were very grateful. Highly recommended to eat in restaurant, as the food was absolutely delicious & the young waiter there provides 1st class service!Our stay ended up being pleasant.The gate to the private beach is closed, however, this is understandable as the majority of domestic visitors can't swim. We used the stairs on the side of the resort to access this clean beach for a swim.The resort has a lovely view of the ocean.

They had overbooked & tried to move me to another hotel 10km away. I refused & eventually they found an available room

Great location lovely private beach in the restaurant jolly was the best member of staff going and looked after our every need beyond belief, also at night keep an eye out for the flying fox bats they are amazing and if you get a chance go to the local fish market

The hotels a little bit old and tired and could do with a good clean, the balcony was also very unusable as the air conditioning made it far too hot and unusable but it wasn't a massive problem as we spent most of the time in the beach
