Taxi Arrangement. Local people not letting Uber driver to come near resort

Everything was perfect, from the welcome, the airport puck up, the staff, the incredible buffet, the treatments and amazing therapists , the gorgeous swimming pool and the beach nearby and the good bye with gifts. I will come back.

the facilites were beautiful especially the breakfast area and the pool area. The staff were professional and courteous and you couldn't fault their skill

The main thing I didn't like was the only option for yoga being early or at 5.30pm

This was my third time staying at Somatheeram, and again they managed to amaze with their kindness and thoughtfulness. Everything was perfect,the reception at the airport, despite our late night arrival, they allowed us to check in and go straight to our bungalow.As a result, the first treatment was scheduled in the afternoon so we could rest.The employees, from reception, service to the restaurant, doctors and therapists as well as the cleaning staff were always smiling and cared to meet our every need.After this two weeks of Ayurveda treatments I feel reborn! I can very gladly recommend this facility especially to people searching peace and wellbeing for body and soul.

Nice location

We were asked to move 3 times throughout one week because resort was apparently booked up, although we booked it 4 months in advance. Resort is targeted at older audience and because we were young we were significantly disrespected. The staff was also rude and whenever you had any question or issue they would pretend they don’t hear you / ignore you .Also got used up old gowns and headbands from hospital in one of the rooms we had to move, and there was no hot water or heater for it.Overall got moved into manatheeram which is 3 star hospital whilst we booked Somatheeram and it’s 4 star and more relaxed for leather. Really horrible experience.

The location and the property was well maintained.

Some of the staff members were completely blank about what they need to do, and they seemed to be interested only in Foreign customers. And the access to the place was horrible. With very scanty taxi/cab options. And one of the managers at the property were treating us ladies and the taxi we came in, like we were illegal trespassers. Awfully bad treatment from two of them. And the property doesn’t have clear distinctions made on google maps, to assist proper accessibility to the location. We did get friendly treatment from only two specific staff members. And they helped us in some way.

Nestled in the lap of Nature. Superbly landscaped. Very quiet and cozy.Warmth of the staff, and their constant personal attention. Cleanliness of the property and its proximity to a lovely beach. High quality vegetarian food.

1. Far from the city .2. Limited shopping options in the vicinity.

For seniors cottages at lower level is indeed very serious issue

The location was wonderful and the gardens beautiful. Loved the swimming pools and access to all the different pools and restaurants was great. The yoga hall and classes were great benefit. Food was good especially in some of the dining restaurants

access to beach could be neatened a bit as it goes through a polluted local area - the hotel could perhaps try to work with villagers to upgrade the area to improve for hotel and the local people . Pity the beach is so polluted too

The property has a great location, accommodation, pool and beach access

This is NOT a holiday resort, it is a holistic medicine and health spa. The food is all vegetarian with a healthy twist. Staff were not helpful unless you were asking about the treatments available. It was a very confusing place and we felt a little uncomfortable as we were expecting a holiday not hospital/rehab environment

As I am bangali the foods I didn't liked,breakfast alright,also part from veg thali everything high prices also gobi manchuria,uncooked still I paid full price events didn't eaten,treatment was very good but very expensive,also shown rooms in pictures something given different,although rooms are goods no view from balcony.

Foods,views,for one person rooms are too expensive,foods are expensive.

It was a pleasant stay.Food was definitely the highlight of the stay.Clean swimming pool.Attractive view of the beach and the sea. Definitely makes it a good place for beautiful pictures.Lush green ambiance in the resort.

For the price we paid there are definitely other resorts and stays where comfort, quality of stay and amenities are much better.Access to the beach was much below our expectation, which should be in the interest oc the ptoperty to have a convenient access to duch beautiful beaches.We probably misjudged from the property ad on booking.com as we expected to go to an Ayurveda resort with great beach, but realised only after going their that it is primarily an Ayurveda hospital.

Good concept and well organized resort

They can upgrade the TVs in the rooms to latest wifi TVs with the option to connect on the apps. It's advisable given most of their guests stay for 1-2 weeksPool Timings in summer can be increased till 7.30 pm

So authentic, I loved the trees and the wooden cabins. The staff were so genuine with 5* service. Treatments were so good therapists were professional and I was so relaxed and taken care of.

Well maintained Ayurveda Resort. Staffs are very friendly and Helpful. the restaurant Staffs are providing good care. Very good Ayurveda treatment and Well experienced Docter and experienced Therapist. The pool & beach was very fabulous. Highly recommended the Ayurveda Resort.

Swimming pool was very nice, the person who was helping around at the pool was doing his work very well. We also appreciated the job done by the restaurant manager, Vimal Kumar, clearly has a background in hospitality.

We had issues starting from the check in, when we had to insist to get the cottage that we booked. The male manager who was assisting was extremely arrogant and unprofessional, he can’t be in hospitality business. Everything took time, from requests for a new towel till water refill. New towels were dirty, as if they were not washed but just sprayed and ironed. Bed linen was not changed daily as they claim and the cleaning, in general, was not done properly and always at odd times. Vegetarian food only was healthy but boring unfortunately, and so overpriced for what they serve. Yoga was chargeable. The property doesn’t have private beach.Our sleep was disturbed multiple times by other guests who decided to have a party at 12 am. We raised the issue but it was never addressed. Very careless of the staff.In general, Somatheeram caters to foreigners who never visited India before and have no idea of the food, culture, hospitality, prices, etc. I wonder how this place got the rating that it has on this website.

The treatments and the food was excellent! Service staff was very courteous & amicable.

The reception staff thinks they are over smart. They sold my room to somebody else and put me in a lower category room in a different resort. Overall, they see success with foreign travelers and hence take Indians for granted.

The treatments were great- the staff well trained and professional.I really enjoyed the veg meal buffets, but my husband found the food rather tasteless as it lacked spice. Catered more for a European taste probably.

The location was a bit out of the way for us and the beach wasn’t very nice.

Great place and wonderful setting with very friendly and helpful staff. The staff helped us and supported us in our request and were very fast and efficient in arranging cars and excursions. Nice breakfast spread.

Wi-fi was a bit spotty. Unfortunately we requested months in advance two rooms with sea view but they were not able to accommodate when we arrived. After much discussion we got the rooms we requested but far from each other. The bed came a bit apart (2 single beds pushed together).
