Nice to have a swimming pool to dip in and out if as the wave swell is a little intense. That said a few beach cabanas or sun loungers would not go amiss.

No alcohol policy - I feel that should be made quite clear to potential guests before booking into a beach hotel... sunset just is not the same without a cool and refreshing libation to watch it go down.

The environment and view were very calm and pleasant, and we did not experience any disturbances. The pool was nice, though a bit small. However, I was quite disappointed with the breakfast, as the so-called English breakfast only consisted of four slices of bread with jam, butter, and an omelet, which felt very limited.I have stayed in many hotels across Sri Lanka, and I personally feel that the price here is far too high compared to the facilities provided. I paid $100 for two nights (around Rs. 31,000), which is not reasonable for what was offered. The room had no room service, the toilets were not properly cleaned, and even basic amenities such as shampoo, soap, fresh towels, mosquito repellent, and a hairdryer were missing.I also feel disappointed with Booking.com. It seems the prices were boosted to gain more income, as on the same day I checked again, the rate had dropped to Rs. 6,000 per night, which was shocking. Furthermore, the photos shown online did not match the reality—the property looked poorly maintained and very different from what was advertised.Overall, the only positive point was the staff, who were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, due to this experience, I have decided not to trust Booking.com in the future.

Clean and spacious room with great AC, great staff! The property is beautiful and there’s an onsite cafe for drinks and delicious food. Before checking in, I was at a different location in Whiskey Point and they helped with pick up so I wasn’t walking in the evening - so kind! I’ll book here again.

Staff was the highlight for me. I had some issues with my car during our stay, staff went above and beyond to help me out. Even though we were away from home, and home town, they made us feel right at home. Food, location, and everything in general was good.

Mostly the staff was very friendly and they treat their guests very good. The food was very delicious and the fruits and vegetables are very fresh the place has spread through a large area the cabana type houses were very spacious and very much worth the price one of the best we had in our trip highly recommended.

THEY ARE TRULY THIEVES, THEY SENT ME A MENU TWO HOURS BEFORE GOING TO THE FACILITY, WHEN I ASKED FOR THE BILL AFTER DINNER THE PRICES ARE TOTALLY FALSE, THEY ARE VERY HIGH COMPARED TO THE PRICES ON THE MENU AND NOT ONLY ON THE TOTAL THEY APPLIED TAXES THAT NO RESTAURANT IN SRI LANKA APPLIES. AND THE RECEIPT BROUGHT ME ON A PIECE OF PAPER WITHOUT A STAMP, NO HEADER.

Low season, Quiet, many times I was all alone on the beach, nice clean Pool very warm water, it was like taking a bath., basic clean room fan AC, big good bed, bathroom, room 11 sea view.

Absolutely loved my stay at Paper Moon Kudlis! The quality of the food was exceptional—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Wonderful property with very friendly staff. We stayed for 9 nights and loved it. The villa had aircon and hot water with a very comfortable bed. It was extremely good value for money and would highly recommend.

What an amazing place! On a fantastic beach (Whiskey Bay) away from the hustles of Arugam bay 10km down the road.Staff were amazing, food cooked to order and great flavours, swimming pool, even has a bar!Spent two nights on our travels around Sri Lanka but wish we could have spent longer.This is a place we will definitely return to. Fantastic value for money, off the beaten track, our sort of heaven.

Fantastic location right on the beach! Nice restaurant with decent food!! Could work on the food a little perhaps but it’s not bad!! Great pool!! Great view from the pool and very peaceful area!

I had a very bad mattress!! My partner and I eventually got a second room at the first rooms mattress sounded like a bomb dropped every time one of us moved so decided to stay separately… turns out the second room had a great mattress… so perhaps next time I should just have complained.
