Hikkaduwa Beach Hotel

Nice location on the beach. Pleasant staff and great food. Overall good value.

The room was disappointing. Lots of ants, shower did not drain very well and water leaked under window when it rained.

It's a hop step & jump from the beach. Close to shops and bus Stand.

yes, there was a water leak in the toilet area from the time I checked in, and although I complained it to the front desk they never fixed it or resolved it. Their room cleaning service does not include cleaning/replacing dirty/used coffee mugs.

This hotel in a great location does well because they have fantastic staff, who are carrying this hotel, which needs a lot of renovation work, on their shoulders. The staff as re absolutely awesome, the owners of the hotel are lucky to have good staff. We are impressed with the professional attitude of Ms.Asna, Ms.Tharushi, Ms.Yenuli, Mr.Sudesh, the manager Mr.Trevine. Special thanks goes to Ms.Jeane, the head of house keeping, becsuee her team does a good job of mainting a hotel that needs a lot of renovation. Thank you to all.

Our advice to the owners, please invest in renovattions, because your hotel has one of the best locations. Please invest in proper wifi connections, because global travelers need connectivity. Please renovate and relaunch your ocean bar, restaurant, meetings rooms, etc, you will do very well. You have an absolutely awesome team of workers, we are most certain you will do every well once the renovations are completed. Thank you.

The staff were happy and pleasant and eager to please. The location was awesome.

The hotel is begging to be demolished. The doors and walls are battered. The bathroom couldn't be more worn out. The towels are frayed. The online listing said a double bed and a single bed and what we got was a queen bed. I had to ask for a second bed to be added to the room and fortunately the staff were nice enough to oblige.

Requested an extra bed. They said it was the sofa bed. Matters was old. When I slept, it sank in. For a couple to sleep together......not good at all. The most dangerous thing was the DOOR LOCK. It was a disaster. The hotel really need to address the issue regarding their Door Locks ?. There was not enough parking space.

Our room had a nice view and was really close to the beach which was probably a few feet away.

The customer service was terrible, It took 3 days to actually verify if the booking was okay and when we arrived it took a hour for them to get our room ready. Our bathroom did not contain towels or soap and was not cleaned properly. The room was also arranged abit unprofessional and in a messy way and the beds were small such that two people could hardly fit in it, When we arrived we were given a welcome drink which contained a lot of sugar so much that you can hardly drink it, plus it was served in a cup that was half full,mind you all the glasses in the waiting area was like that, I wouldn't put it past them to serve us a drink that was served to someone else before.

Staff were not friendly. Closer to no service at all. Kitchen is at least an hour's wait for any food type.

The team were lovely! Robert the manager came out to personally greet us. The team were so hands on and accommodating. I would say the bathroom needs to have some work done as it hasnt been maintained in a while but other than that i am really happy!

Everything was old ,such as doors, furnitures and elevator.Its location was excellent, near the seashore.

The beach side room is really worth. View is great. very near to beach.

Buffet breakfast can little improve.

Location is great, front of the hotel faces the main street and the beach is a few steps away from the back of the hotel.

Most of the food served are not warm enough and too spicy.

In Roberts absence the staff really played up, hanging about on their phones. Breakfast was dire, as other reviews have said, it wasn’t clean downstairs. The room was ok but we had a twin and the second bed was a put up bed which was lumpy and the sheets were stained!

This hotel informed me a few minutes before check-in that the prices were wrong and asked me for money several times. I emailed and texted several times after booking to make sure, but no one answered. I walked a long way to get to this hotel, but they canceled my room at the last minute. Their behavior was very unprofessional and uncomfortable.

The best location on the Hikkaduwa beach. Staff is very kind , but the Englisg language knowledge should be improved.Other everything was super.

Great modern room, very comfortable and clean.I was enjoying my stay in the hotel. Best location in the centre of Hikkaduwa, just at the beach which is good for swimming. Service was very good.

Very minor comment - that the tea bags and coffee were not provided daily for the room.
