Khao Sok Hill Top Resort

The woman who runs the hotel is extremely caring and attentive - it is like having your own Thai aunt that will take care of you while you are here. The location had a nice view, but is fairly isolated - good for people that like a camping atmosphere.

It is fairly far from the bus stop, and needed a taxi ride. They (like many drivers in Southeast Asia) will require bartering to ensure you do not get ripped off. Apparently 50 baht per person is a fair price (do not be surprised if they first offer 3x

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Peaceful Nature StayI stayed in the tent and absolutely loved the relaxing nature vibes. It was very peaceful and refreshing. The food was great, and the owner and staff were very accommodating and friendly.This place is perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy nature at a low cost while still feeling comfortable and well taken care of. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway.

I felt in love whit this place. You get a large tent and during your stay you feel at home thank you people who manage there , also the you wake up to the sound of nature is amazing. I miss you mama ❤️

The mattress was very thin, but it’s camping in a tent, it’s not supposed to be luxurious, so it was okay.

Bathrooms could use a bit of refreshing and more amenities. The place is far from the village, you’ll need a taxi to get there.

Staff were lovely and the view was stunning. We were able to book a boat trip through them and a taxi back. Wish we knew to contact them for a taxi on the way as this was a lot cheaper way of doing it! We had difficulty finding someone willing to drive up the very bumpy road on the way! It's about a 40 minute walk into the village and lovely in the morning and evening when it's cooler. The food was also good.

There were no hooks in the bathroom for your towel and clothes, so there wasn't really any place to keep them off the floor unless you put them on the toilet.

Loved this little hill top hideaway. Tent camping at its best if you are visiting Khao Sok. A few min ride into the city and the staff runs taxi there. Excellent scenery and vibes.

We had a great time and comfortable stay at this beautiful place with our two year old. The staff is very friendly and they welcomed us like family. It’s a child friendly place which made our stay very enjoyable. Our son could freely run in the garden, played with their son and dogs, and in the end we were sad to leave. Although the location is 20-30 min walk from the Khao Sok village, it makes the place more magical as you feel you’re in the nature. The landscape and the sounds of the forest is amazing with beautiful visibility of stars at night. They have an onsite restaurant so we didn’t have to go to village to eat and the tours pick you up from the resort. Because we had a young child they were kind to offer us transportation to village when we needed. Thank you and hope to see you again!

The spot in the mountain is really nice, nice view and really calm. The owner is really friendly and always help you if you need a taxi or anything. Good to know: the bus doesn't reach this area, you have to take a taxi, but you can call her and she'll send you one.

Fantastic staff, very helpful and kind. The whole family helped with arranging trips, taxis and bus transport. They even fixed a broken travel bag zipper for us! Food is also really good and at low prices. The tents are really just basic tents. These are excellent if you want to hear all kinds of wildlife during the night, from a wide range of frogs to birds in the morning. Unfortunately, the matras was also very basic and too hard for our spoiled backs. Staff kindly provided us an upgrade with discount! The views of the forests are very nice and we had a very good relaxing time.

The matras. The actual tent wasn't what the fotos suggested. Would be nice to get a realistic idea about the site. The property is a pleasant 2 km from the commercial Khao sok town, but at the end of a dirt road in the middle of rubber and palm plantations.

Lovely location, very peaceful, surrounded by the jungle and views of the surrounding hills. Wonderful place for star gazing and taking in the sounds at night...

I liked nothing. Seriously, there was nothing to like. I wish there was more room in the What didn't you like part because I couldn't write down everything I wanted.

It's a 30+ minutes walk from the main road, the road to the resort is so bad minivans won't even pick you up from there. I booked the 'big tent', which wasn't big at all. Every hotel I've booked so far supplied me with 2 bottles of water, this resort didn't. I had to pay 30 baht. On top of that they insisted on knowing what tent I was in. As if I was some random stranger not staying at the resort sneaking in there to buy a bottle of water. They came up with 'We must know where customer sleep', I said 'In the tent! The very one you assigned to me a few hours ago, it doesn't have a number, but why do you need to know what tent I'm in for me to buy a bottle of water!?'. Angrily she said 'We must know!'.Then the tent. It's on a raised platform, the wooden planks underneath are sticking out, I cut my leg on them. There are holes in the platform, not comfortable. The shower inside the little toilet building didn't have enough pressure to shower, I had to use the outside one, which makes washing your private parts awkward, especially with a male Thai constantly having sneak peeks of who is showering, little pervert.When it was time to go to bed I noticed I was getting bitten. Turned on my head torch and saw lots of ants on my mattress but also long black hairs (I'm close to being bold) so those weren't mine! I went to reception to complain about the long black hairs. You won't believe what happened next. The woman (and her 2 daughters) started screaming at me, yelling profanity in Thai accompanied with rude gestures, then in German (she assumed I was German, I'm not though I speak the language) she called me an ass...e, then in English. All this with about 20 customers sitting right there in the reception area! She tolled me 'f... you', she gave me the finger. She exploded.

We had a very relax and calm stay at the Top Hill Resort. We loved the tent and the facilities. Also the staff is amazingly friendly.The area are beautiful and the Khao Sok Natural Park is amazingly beautiful.

It was a wonderful experience to stay in the jungle. The view was amazing. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. They helped us organize everything we needed. The two dogs are very sweet. Everything was clean. The village is a 30 min walk away, but the staff can arange transport for a small fee. All in all a great stay.

Nothing to complain about.

Jip and her daughter are the kindest and warmest people I met during my entire holiday. They really go out of their way to help and accommodate you. For example, they give great advice on activities (they check in with the guests afterwards and they only book with those guides/companies/accommodations that are good value and good service) , they helped organise convenient and good value transport, and they even gave me a dry bag for my trip on the lake to keep! They really take the hint to respond to ask questions and requests. Jip also cooks delicious food, which you can have at the cosy restaurant or on the lovely veranda by the bungalow. The bungalow had all I needed. Temperatures dropped quite a lot at night so the fan was fine for me. The yoga studio is right around the corner. It is a nice and quite spot, gorgeous garden, with only 20-30min walk to the town. I rented a Moto and loved driving around the gorgeous area. The hosts are honoust, hard working, and helpful. Could not recommend more!
