Beautiful jungle setting looking over a river! Friendly owners.

The bathroom didn’t drain well and it felt an odor.

The room was nice, easily fitting a family of 4, with 1 double bed and 2 bunk beds. The staff was friendly, and provided information on tours you can do. Even if the location was remote, there was a nice restaurant 15 minutes walk from the hotel.

There was no real door, and the room was only locked using a padlock. The TV was ok though it had a very limited number of channels, and most of them in Thai, and none for children (which was problematic given the amount of time we spent in the room due to rain). The bathroom tap and sink were leaking so we often got our feet and socks wet. There was no shower curtain, so the bathroom was even more wet everywhere. The hotel is located in a remote location, and thus you always need a taxi to do things. The included breakfast is rather light, and as it is made on demand, it might take some time to arrive.

The staff was super accommodating in every regard. They were super friendly, helped us organize everything we needed and even helped us get to town (since we didn’t have a car). We were really grateful for them!

If you don’t have a means of transportation, getting anything or anywhere is extremely difficult. There are one or two restaurants within a short walking distance, otherwise you have to walk at least 40 minutes just to get to a 7/11. Rideshare Apps like Grab and Bolt also don’t really work, so you’re really stuck without a moped or car.

The reason i am giving this property 1 out of 10 is because on the second day my family woke up early in the morning with two snakes crawling on my brother's wife's head. They came out from the head rest. Just shocking. Also the only time we managed to properly talk with the reception staff was upon check in and when they were selling us the boat tour to the lake. Staff non responsive. Location. Out of the way and if you don't come with the car it's definitely a no go. Cleanliness. Questionable, the main areas yes, somewhat ok but all the small details are dirty. The terrace had a dead bird ( definitely a few days old). Everything just felt half done. Och and the beds... I didn't sleep on the beds that hard in a long time.

If anything, the price and the warm shower. The water bottles in the refrigerator. The wi-fi worked.

The lizards on the walls, the toast breakfast, the noises from the roof, and especially the full and dirty ashtray that welcomed us on the bungalow's balcony and the very old towels.

A lovely cottage by the canal, right next to the dam. I loved the greenery surrounding the area. It’s conveniently close to the dam, making morning trips easy. The breakfast is basic but adequate

Nice spot in jungle by river. Rooms large and outside shower cool. Breakfast a little basic and nothing happening in evening (can sit and drink your own beer in restaurant area) but have to go elsewhere for food. Lovely restaurant just up the road - Khun Ka La Hua (looked a nice place to stay too!!)

Beautiful and peaceful place by the river surrounded with a lot of green. The Owner was super nice and helpful with guidance, booking tours, rides, and everything we needed. The room was more than enough for us three. It is very close to the river where you can take boat tours and explore around.

Except from the river there is really not much around. It is pretty far from the closest town and about 1 hour drive from Kaho Sok National Park.Breakfast was really basic and small portion.Toilet was leaking when flushing.

Did not sleep due to the dogs barking randomly during the night. Nice people though. Location is nearby the lake , but further away from other nice places in Kao Sok. Further the stay was ok, but not above average.

Cute little bungalows right on the river, lovely hosts and i loved the outdoor bathroom!

It's got everything you need - comfy basic rooms with ensuites. Good breakfast. Pretty location. Reception were so helpful and quickly arranged a scooter for us to explore on and a fun day trip on the lake. Recommend.

Very nice and calm place, good amenities. Breakfast is also good.

Only 1 or 2 restaurants nearby, scooter necessary if stay is longer than 2 nights.

had the pleasure of staying at Baandin Chiewlarn Hotel in Khao Sok, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. Nestled amidst lush greenery and serene surroundings, this hotel offers the perfect retreat for anyone looking to connect with nature while enjoying comfort and hospitality.

The only negative point I can think of is the mattress. It was very hard. Otherwise all was good.

Bed quite hard. No food on site apart from breakfast but two good restaraunts up the road.

We loved our bungalow! We had an outside bathroom with a bathtub in a shape of a heart <3 the room was big and with a view on the river (around 18:30 you can hear and observe the water flow rising because of the dam opening!). Bed was huge and super comfortable. We also took breakfast and it was a choice of eggs or omlet (good one!), fruits and toasts with jam. We liked that there was Ovomaltine chocolate to drink ;) Close by there are 2 good restaurants. We used the option of renting a motorbike (they come pick you up and take you to the rental!) which is much needed in this area. We asked the owners of our accommodation for recommendations where to go (despite the lake tour, which we did in the morning before the check-in) and one of them was absolutely amazing - the Khao Na Nai Luang Dharma temples! Mystical path connecting 5-6 temples, each of them is unique and they all have a great view. We can also recommend the Wang Matcha cave (and the Diamond/Kaew cave above it) and the Khao Sok Elephant Sanctuary (very ethical, we went there for the 40-minutes feeding).

The staff were really friendly, location was great and facilities were very clean.

I liked everything, but would like to note that we had a car. I think if you do not have your own transport, it might be a little complicated to be mobile as there's not much within walking distance.
