Tiara Labuan Hotel

The 2 bedroom suite was specious and worth paying for. They have life entertainers at the ballroom/bar area but it stops at 11pm which is great as the noise does penetrates into the hotel room.

We were told that check in is available at 3pm. We arrived at 4:30 pm and has to wait till almost 6:00 pm before our room is ready. Reason given is the guess had an injury and requested for a late check out??? This is a dampener as we are all tired.

Location is nice. Facing beach and convenient to go to the town. Staff was very pleasant and helpful throughout the check in process.

Urgently need to be upgraded. Facilities especially pool not very clean.. room furniture looks old. The breakfast need to be improved as well. Limited and not enough.

Breakfast is ok but not many choice of food.The pool is ok.Room is superb. Bed very comfort. All amenities can be use but bathtub look old and tiny.

What a lovely place to spend 3 nights in , our room was beautiful , very clean and comfortable . The hotel is really nice throughout and surrounded by a tropical garden . The food was very good , breakfast was a bit restricted for non- Muslim guests as it was Ramadan but we were well provided for . We enjoyed everything about this hotel and thought it was excellent value both for the accommodation and restaurants and bars where the prices were very reasonable for this standard of hotel . The hotel has a free shuttle to the town of Victoria , we also got the hotel to call a Grab car to go around the island a bit , these are very reasonably priced and almost wherever you go the staff will call for the next one , it made getting around much easier than we expected . We came by Ferry from Brunei to Victoria , Labuan , the biggest problem here is finding the information as to Ferry schedules as they only publish them for a two week period , you can book online from Labuan to Serasa port Brunei but not when leaving Brunei so we just turned hoping there would be a ferry (there was) . It would be good if the Labuan Tourist authorities improved this lack of information as it must prevent some potential guests from travelling . Great staff throughout and a particular thanks to the lovely young lady receptionist who was so helpful .

The staff were very helpful, received excellent service in the bar and restaurant, offered multiple transfers to and from the town including airport transfers. Requested a late check out and they were able to facilitate and always were willing to help. The food was good value and tasty. Room was excellent size and the bed was very comfy, has an old feel but that adds to the charm.

The gym had no air conditioning but had all the equipment needed. Would be nice if the gym was open earlier.

Loved the hotel’s location, close to restaurants and the beach! The room was big and the bed was comfortable. Views from the room were incredible, we loved sitting on the balcony in the evening.

The hotel has an in house bar right by the pool which we didn’t know about. The bass from the music was so loud it shook the walls of our room until 1am. We tried to call the hotel to ask if they could turn it down but realized our in room phone was broken. My partner went to the front desk to ask, they said they would call the bar. Once back in the room there was no change, if anything the karaoke singing for louder. Really frustrating as we had a tour in the morning and needed to be up early. The bar we learned is also open to the public which didn’t feel very safe. There is no tap system with keys on the elevator so anyone could hypothetically go up to the rooms. Despite the noise and safety concern we really enjoyed our stay. The pool and view from the room was beautiful.

The hotel complex is a little dated but for me that adds to the charm. The suite room on the 4th floor is spacious and has a sea view. The gardens are well maintained with ponds and a decent sized swimming pool. The staff are very attentive and friendly. The resto has a variety of western and Asian dishes at a very reasonable price. The 2 onsite bars are well stocked and also quite cheap. I have stayed here twice now and will stay again next time. Overall a great place to relax and not break the bank. I regularly stay in hotels and for the budget this is up there as one of my favourites. Thanks to all the staff.

The air force has manoeuvres sometimes so it can get pretty noisy but not the hotels fault of course. My only qualm is I think they should supply water dispensers so we have a choice not to use plastic bottles.

dry and hard towel. No face towel. Uneven floor. Lack of attention to details for an above standard comfort.

The hotel staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. However, their level of English was low, which made communication a bit challenging at times. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, but improving their English skills would be beneficial.

The facilities at the hotel did not meet the standards of a 4-star rating at all. Everything was old, very worn, and only superficially maintained. For example, the pool was unusable because the pump was broken and was not going to be repaired, despite the staff pretending daily that everything was working. Overall, the staff struggled to maintain the illusion that the hotel was still in the same condition as it was 25 years ago, but in reality, it was a huge disappointment

The free drink per pax was nice. Food and Beverage at the hotel was reasonably priced and nice. Some Aircon in the apartment was not functioning well but they made it up by immediate repair or compensated us. Pool was great and the bar was family friendly
