THE STAY WAKKANAI

The rooms were very clean, great common space, and incredible location for everything you need to do in Wakkanai (ferry, JR, shops, restaurants, etc.)

Honestly nothing I can think of was negative.

This was my second time staying at The Stay Wakkanai and it was just as charming and pleasant as a couple of years ago. People in Wakkanai are so kind, and the staff at The Stay are no exception. I felt really welcomed, the bed was really comfortable, and the location couldnt be more covenenient. I came here for the Wakkani Peace Marathon, and the staff kindly gave out an energy/sports snack for the participants. I could also leave my backpack there during the race, and pick it up safely and conveniently after finishing. An unfortgettable experience!

Very clean and had a lot of accommodations like laundry, food for purchase, a kitchen, fans, AC, a lamp in each bunk, and a charge port in each bunk.

I just wish there were more than one toilet for the whole second floor.

Super convenient location just right across the Wakkanai JR Station. The property is impeccably clean and the room and bed comfortable. I highly recommend for seasoned and cost conscious travelers alike.

Loud footsteps, 1 shower/2 sinks/1 toilet but 15+ guests.., no bug mesh for window to be opened and the rooms stank from old plastic and moisture, pillows were long overdue for cleaning(yellow stain), everything is extra charge..

The staff is considerate and you can leave you can luggage there for ¥500 a day.

The bunk bed was a bit scary.

Perfect location, super helpful and friendly staff, everything very clean and comfortable.

The hostel is located right across from the JR station. The free parking area is a bit of a trek from the hostel, which can be a hassle if you're arriving in winter. You can easily stroll over to Breakwater Dome from there. The room is roomy enough for two guests. The shower and toilet are kept clean and stocked with plenty of amenities. Plus, you can whip up your coffee and tea in the shared pantry.

The staff wasn't very friendly. He did go over everything with us during check-in, but he had a pretty serious expression the whole time. Just to clarify, we weren't checking in late.

I've been in Wakkanai with a group of friends.The House is in the center, literally in front of the bus and train station and around there are several restaurants and conbinis.The apartment was really beautiful, clean and well maintained

Unfortunately the apartment was REALLY COLD, there was a heater which however only heated one room, while the other two where completely glacial

Opposite the Wakkanai station entrance.Common room had coffee and miso soup.Laundry outside but next to common room.Common room also had a smaller coffee shop restaurant too.Showers and toilets on both floors.

Was hot coming in from the winter outside.

The property is just opposite to the JR station, it’s so convenient :) The staff are really nice, they recommended some scenic spots nearby. And I like the kitchen corner and common area. It’s comfortable.

A little bit hairs on the side of bed. But no big problem.

This hotel may be more suitable to those younger guests

The location is very close to the JR Station, so it is somehow convenience for those who come by train; As we came by car, we have to find place to park the car; the person at the front desk assisted me on how to get into the parking . This could be easily intimidating for person who does not familiar with the location , and do not speak the language.it will be very helpful if at the Reservation form mentioning that the parking is available but not at the premises. Also, the room is upstairs and we have to climbed up the stairs, which is unexpected fpr is

This hostel is amazing! It is very clean and cozy, it feels like home. The man at the front desk was very friendly. I forgot a charger back and Ozaki was super helpful, shipping it to me immediately. I am glad that I stayed at this hostel and I would definitely return!

Directly across the street from Wakkanai Train and Bus Stations. Close to shopping and restaurants. Exceptionally clean and comfortable. Staff were outstanding. We hate to leave.

A few doors to navigate depending in where your room is located.

Perfect location to the station which makes it easy to go all places easily.

Less sound proof, so if your having active kids, you will end up caused discomfort to other guests.
