Pros +
- Their Onsen (hot spring public bath) was small, but very well appointed.
- Clean
- Hotel is conveniently located close to the station. I was there for an international sporting event held at the Takasaki Arena. It is only a 10 minute walk to the venue.
Cons -
- It is located in one of the restaurant and bar districts, and patrons from these establishments were boisterous and noisy around 1 am, waking us up.
- The bed was too small and uncomfortable
- Unfortunately, the hotel’s bath facilities are not accessible to guests with visible tattoos unless they can be covered. This could be disappointing for tattooed travellers who want to enjoy the traditional Japanese bathing experience.

Dormy Inn Takasaki was great with its excellent location, just a 15-minute walk from the station and conveniently close to restaurants and bus stops. The room was spotless, quiet, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The staff was exceptionally kind and welcoming.

Location is good. Staffs is very helpful. Enjoyed the spa in level 10 and FREE ice block.
The shower room is a bit too small and we normally go to level 10 enjoy the spa and shower there.
Japanese breakfast was good. Only room available was a smoking room. As a non-smoker this was not ideal as it did smell of stale smoke. Luckily, it was possible to open the windows. Room was small, but ok for a single occupant.Location was perfect for the event l was attending. It was also good proximity to restaurants, shops and the train station. Staff were all friendly and helpful.
As mentioned above, the room was a smoking room. Would have preferred a non-smoking room, if it was available. A bit surprised that they still have this type of room in this day and age.
Price and location
Pillows were not to my liking and we had to buy extras. Rooms were tight for space but completely adequate
When arrived late and tired, free drink and noodle services available. Convenience store located next door.
Clean and quiet! Has a mini fridge in the room.
Lovely rooftop public bath facility, really friendly staff. Room had everything we needed.
The onsen is beautiful, breakfast is fantastic and great location!
The shower was hard to control. The water stream was very thin, and the water was either too hot or too cold.
Good bath, good breakfasts very pleasant staff.
A completely typical Japanese chain hotel experience. Clean efficient and adequate comfort. Well located with many restaurants, shops and station close by. Short walk to castle site and galleries.
Great facilities and staff. Breakfast was delicious and with plenty of options (even for vegetarians. Vegans might have it harder, though). Loved all the complimentary extras: noodles, popsicles… And kudos to their efforts towards reducing plastic waste regarding the amenities. The location was excellent for sightseeing, close to Takasaki St. and a couple of bus stops. The staff kept our luggage for us even after check-out.
Being picky, I’d say the pillow was a bit hard and the air conditioning system kept making a weird noise that might be easily fixable (maybe something was stuck inside).
Your hotel is very clean. The location is good and convenient. Small gifts are here and there which is very nice. I would like to recommend your hotel to my friends.
I could not find right away what was supposed to be in the room. For example the panel of an air conditioner, a bath towel, tissue, etc. I spent the first day without them, and the next day I happened to find them.
the breakfast was excellent and I really like the bathroom pajamas and bath house.
it’s a bit of a walk with bags when trying to find it, and that needs to be clearer on the listing.
Easy location to get to from station and there's a nice social and eating area around the corner with some unique and modern restaurants and bars.I really liked the layout of the room. It made unpacking and getting ready really quick as a solo traveller. The sink is outside the bathroom, making it convenient for my morning routines. There was also a nice area to place your suitcase for quick and easy access.Aircon worked well, and the controls were right next to the bed, so it was easy to adjust during the night and morning.
I really dont have any major concerns, only a few small points. The automatic sensor light above the doorway was a little strange as it didn't stay on long and would come on if you got up for the toilet at night. There was also a really loud and disturbing noise which made a sound a few times. It sounded like it came from the electrics in the ceiling. It didn't disturb me during the night, so it was bearable. Bed was okay, but as usual, only hard square foam pillows that the Japanese seem to favour. My poor neck! The room was generally clean but the floor felt dirty on bare feet, so slippers were worn at all times.
Friendly staff, excellent breakfast.
No early check-in
Great value for money, the public onsen was very nice, accommodating staff, comfy rooms.
