Elysian Gangchon Resort

We had a comfortable stay during our two days of skiing. The room was nice and warm with plenty of space.

The facilities are a little dated, but clean.

Room served its purpose. Warm with a small kitchen with sufficient amenities.

When checking in, the hotel staff wanted to give us a a unit with two rooms with no beds. After I told her that when booking, there was for one room with beds, she relented and agreed. This was not a pleasant experience.Also, the pillows in the room with the mattress were tiny and filled with seeds, not feathers/cotton. Not comfortable.

Super clean, my friend and I can even roll on the floor. You can hardly find any dust on any corner. Also the hotel entrance is just around 100m from the ticket office. A convenience store is on the ground floor of the hotel.

2 restaurants in the hotel are open only for limited hours, not convenient for skii-er who want to try them, although there are food to order inside the resort, but those are not fine restaurants.

It is right next to the skiing tracks.The room is spacious and clean.

One of the male staff at the reception is not really polite.

It was quiet and spacious. The facilities were nice and staff were very kind.

The kids play area was closed on Monday. The beds were very hard and there were many extra fees for things such as a an extra towel or cooking in your suite.

Nice, clean, budget stay around this area where you can golf, swim(summer), stroll and not too far away from legoland (by car); there is a kid's playground indoors; restaurants inside the resort are a bit expensive but not too too costly and decent as well.

There is nothing outside the resort within a walking distance.

The location. Vivaldi water park is close by.

Most of the facilities at the hotel were closed. Including the pool, which was the main reason we booked this place. Booking.com said that the pool was open butbit was not.

The swimming pool was close , our apartment house door with problems ( not lock). The hotel don’t offer any facility for a family. The western restaurant not open on Sunday night . The hotel is not comfortable .

Convenience Shop and restaurants on site.were very convenient. Microwave, kettle and fridge in the room means that you can make quick fast food. However limited cutlery, only chopsticks and spoons. Location was great.

Beware - the second bedroom is Futon beds only - but fine for kids. Beware - no bath towels, only hand towels. We read this on previous reviews so bought our own bigger towels. There are some facilities that are only accessible with a Korean credit card - e.g. the massage chairs. No flexibility on check in time. This is a big hotel so there aren't any personal touches and you can not really ask for anything extra so be prepared and bring what you need.

The place is right at the ski resort. It's super convenient to stay and ski here. The apartment is big and clean. There're cafes, restaurants and a G25 convenience store in the hotel and in the ski resort. There're ski schools, ski rental shops only a few steps away from the hotel and from the ski slopes. This is the place to stay if you're going skiing here.

Rooms are very clean. Space is adequate and views were good. Warm water and water pressure were very good.

Reception staff could be more welcoming and it was a bit of a challenge asking for additional sets of futon and bath towels. Futons were soft and therefore I still felt like I was sleeping on the floor with no cushioning and therefore uncomfortable.

Ski Amenities

The shuttle bus is too far from the train station and is raining day causing inconvenience . The shuttle bus is too small and we can't even put a luggage.

Passable

No second bed in a 2 room apartment. You have to sleep at the floor. The towels are extremely small.

Room was clean and spacious (for 3 of us, but could easily fit 4). Loved that there was a convenience store directly below and the ski slopes were literally a 2 minute walk away.

Location and cleanliness considering how busy the resort js.

Check in is quite strict. We can’t do early check in but luckily can leave luggages on the side though feeling a hit unsafe.

The location is good , when you coming down already is snow-land !

We are staying two day, the first day When we check in 3.30pm the room is not yet ready still cleaning the room, until 4.30pm then we can collect the key, And the the next day our Room is not cleaning ? and bath room tower also never change, some more the super worst thing our room having two big Dustbin is full, coz we are booking the family room having 3 rooms and one living hall ! We call the front-desk, and she told us sorry you are staying two day so they are not doing any cleaning for the room, I really get surprised ? on this !!! We said that the two big dustbin is full, no cleaning then forget it , but at Least you must change the our tower and dustbin clear right ! And up just bring some small hand tower for us , and inform us bath tower out of stock ? and just give us two big dustbin bag , let we change our self ?This is really best hotel I have never stay before ?Hope that the Management to do something on it !!!

We had a great stay at the condominium. The kitchen is equipped with microwave, fridge and other essentials. Hot water and heating are good and sufficient during winter. We got 1 bedroom with proper bed and the other room with ondol. The shuttle van to and fro the train station is on time every 20 mins.

My kids are not comfortable sleeping on the ondol. The pillow is very small. The sleeping matress is thin. Kids woke up with back ache. But it is still good to experience the ondol.

I liked the tranquility and the food in the restaurant.

I think the price was a little expensive.

It liked everything specially cleanness, fantastic area, restaurants, staff totally.

checking/checkout time is late and early. breakfast wasn't included, no enough staff English speaker, bedroom windows was closed while curtains were exists.
