The location is good with a walking distance to the lake and other shopping in the area. The buffet breakfast was good. The staff was quite welcoming and made us feel comfortable.

The quality of linen was average and there were no towels when we checked in, they however provided 2 bath towels for each room but no hand towels and there was no tissue papers in the room instead they had paper napkins. The room was smaller and linen could be better. The parking was quite tricky as it had narrow exit/entry and it could be blocked by water tanker or large vehicle and we had to walk as we could not take our cars out. The drinks at breakfast were all sugar loaded canned juices and tea coffee was bad.

The best in Kodaikanal l The best in Kodaikanal on the heart of the town with a lots of greenary from our Room the Rooms very Clean neat and the best of it was it's freshness the food at its Restaurant the Aromas is excellent .. breakfast had a hot tasty large spread we did dine at there Wok for dinner was top notch We highly recommend this place when you visit Kodaikanal

Location is somewhat at the heart of the town and is accessible easily from other spots. Room was clean had all basic stuffs needed. And all staffs were exceptionally good except one of the receptionists (see comment for "What you didn't like").And the hotel is located opposite one of my favorite restaurants in Kodaikanal - Astoria Veg.Hotel's breakfast buffet was excellent.

* The receptionist who welcomed us had real bad attitude (a guy with trimmed beard and wearing specs).* I called the hotel, to inform that I'll be checking in late, at least 6-7 times before the receptionist picked up the phone. And when I said I had to call many times he simply ignored it.* And that attitude became even obvious at the time of checking-in. His responses were so indifferent and while leading us to the room, he didn't tell us which floor the room was on and sped away from us taking the stairs. I had to call the guy who'd already reached half way the stairs and ask which floor the room was on before deciding whether to take elevator or not.

Not clean, first day I stayed in first floor but power was cut off and shifted to 3rd floor, in 3rd floor every 5 min some pump was starting with high noise cannot sleep well.Both room bathroom was not clean water is yellowish color. Bed cover and Linen was not clean, some holes etc.Not worth for the money and not the standard of 4star hotel.

Complimentary breakfast was good however hygiene wasn't followed. I saw a hair strand in cut fruits.

The stay didn't feel hygienic. The bed sheets and the bathroom wasn't as clean as one would expect. No great view from the hotel. Some of the accessories in the room were already broken before we occupied it. Wi-Fi didn't work on our first day. Felt like not worth the price. Their price keeps varying for each day and we felt like we were robbed for just making an earlier booking.

The hotel is located 2 mins away from the bus stand so it is very convenient to walk even with luggage. Though it's so near but it is absolutely not at all noisy. All the eateries and a few attractions like Kodaikanal lake, Byrant park & Coakers walk are walkable distances. The roof top restaurant - Wok had really delicious Chinese food. The rooms are spacious and even has got glass window seat to enjoy a hot chocolate. Meltiaz - just opposite to the hotel, is a must try for hot chocolate. The staff are very courteous and will help to solve any query. Especially, Kapil was very helpful. But more than anything, the owner of the hotel - Mr. Senthil is a true gentle man. He personally addressed and took care of everything that we requested. A very humble man with all the etiquettes needed in this hospitality industry. Thank you for everything. We will cherish and will surely come back to Hamuse. Truly a gem in Kodaikanal.

Very neat place; centrally located so you can walk to the tourist spots. The breakfast was good. The staff were courteous and helping.

Though I booked "executive suite", the room size was just of a normal room. Checkout time was 10 am which was a bit early.

Cleanliness and staff behaviour

Breakfast time to be maintained. We reached the restaurant at 8:05 am but still the food preparation and arrangements were going on. It was around 15 min after breakfast to get ready.

Everything I liked but the location was top notch. It is just in front of the Kodaikanal bus stand on the Main Bazar road, in the center of the city. Every local site sightseeing is just a walk away.

Rooms can have heaters. The one that was provided to us was very small and was barely serving the purpose.

Overall pathetic experience. Zero star..

Rude and unprofessional staff. They replaced / swapped my T shirt in a laundry with someone else & not ready to accept the mistake. The guy on the desk with no uniform acts like a owner and he was very very rude. For the mistake I only asked to apologise but he refused. He had a lot of ego and not even ready to admit that their laundry guy made a mistake.Never book this hotel. They are only greedy for money. No respect to the customer. The bathroom door was broken & water was coming all over. Iron stand was broken. Fan making a lot of noise.They must sack the front desk guy with no uniform who acts like a owner & call himself owners relative.I am also going to write about this guy to Tami Nadu Hotels & Bar association for his misbehaviour.
