Hotel Subam Palani

Location only. Right Next to temple entry point.

We booked 2 triple occupancy rooms with meal plans. Even though we arrived 3-4 hours after check-in time, both rooms provided were not cleaned at all. They looked to be in same condition as left by earlier occupant(s). After arguing at reception, we were provided different rooms. Furthermore, there was no clarity with the breakfast meal plan. We were told at reception that there would be buffet but there was a predefined meal given to us. No choice. Very bad experience in both departments. Very disappointed as this was my 2nd or 3rd visit at same hotel and earlier times, the stay had been pleasant.

Really screwed up my trip

No hot we’re available by default, it required much follow-ups and water nearly 2 hrs to get ready.Rooms needs repainting, Room boys were not responsive

Location is good very near to temple steps

No cleaning, Room full of dusts, Bathroom is muddy, Receptionist does not have the manners.

Location-very closer to temple entrance starting point and winch train point. Hotel's staff are very nice and helpful. Complimentary breakfast are good. Restaurants foods also good

No wifi facility in room. Only cashier area covered by wifi.. There are water leakage patches on rooms walls

The rooms don't have any working power point to charge your phones. its a old property but they made it to look like new one and price is high too.

This hotel is very close to the hill temple. This is the only real advantage of this hotel. Rooms are spacious, and also the bathrooms are super-spacious. I cannot remember any other positive aspect of this hotel.

In all other areas, the hotel is just average . They have a lot of scope for improvement. Rooms are spacious, but lacks many factors. Toilets are not fully clean and spotless. Charging mobile phone is a pain, since they have only provided one plug-point near the bed. So you have to charge your phone before sleeping, or else you will have to sleep on top of your charging phone. The white bed-spreads were not fully spot-less and clean, and I had to use my own bedsheets. The TV screen was pathetic, and the picture was such that it was filling only half of the screen. And the remote was also broken. Even though majority of their customers are from Kerala, they have not added even a single Malayalam pay channel to their set-top box. All popular malayalam channels are blocked, and only a few Tamil news channels are available, which was of no use to me. The Free wifi feature is also useless. They don't mention anything about that at the time of check-in, nor have they displayed the wifi name or password anywhere. Also the range is strictly limited to the ground-floor area, and even on the 1st floor, you won't receive any signal. The bathroom latch is a pain to operate, and the thing is so sharp too, that i was afraid that I may cut my fingers. Parking is also not very well-managed, and the visitors can park any way they like. The concerned staff should monitor it and tell them to park properly to save space for the next car, but they don't do it efficiently. I had parked my car, with proper spacing maintained to the left and right cars, but later at the time of check-out, I found that the previous car had gone from my right-side and a new car had come to the right side, but that driver had parked too close to my car, that I was unable to open my driver-side door properly and get into my car comfortably. The security staff can easily avoid this problem, but they are not doing it properly. Overall, I won't recommend this hotel to anyone.

It is closer to the Palani Thandayuthapani Kovil which can save you a lot of time. Very close to Steps and Yaanai paathai way.Thank you for the extra checkout time given understanding my situation. Really appreciate.

This hotel has only the round type plug outlet. The night receptionist or the watchman (who answered the phone) was not helpful to issue me an adapter. I had to arrange it all by myself at 12midnight to get my phone charged. It was very inconvenient to me.This hotel didn't give me the genius benefit discount and they charged 3000 in total for 2 days.Bathroom is not that standard. Slippery floor.

The room was comfortable.Temple view was good

It would be better if we get hot water for taking bath and jug with tumbler for drinking water.

They charged extra fee for break fast , as per booking it was was charged including break fastBut on check in time they charged more amount for break fast.

Its very near by palani temple. The balcony view is so good. All transpotation facilities are available infront of hotel itself.The restaurant is also very neat and good food.

The furniture and room is to be updated. Its still in old condition. Washroom is not well maintained.Pipes are leaking. Can make much more better for this rate.They are providing some local company mineral water. Its not good, we have to buy aquafine or bislery from outside. We cannot trust sunch local company water bottles.

Very near to the temple. Value for money.

Cleanliness. Bathroom ceiling full of cobwebs. Closet leaking. Wash basin tap broken.They offer multiple rates to diff customers . Billing needs to be more transparent ..

I am disappointed by all means

Very bad experience I ever face. Rooms are not clean and the toilet is not clean well. and the bed sheet is dirty and the floor tiles are broken, some place.

Location. It is so close to temple steps. Lift was there. From the rooms you can get a nice view of the temple.

Small rooms. High room rent. Plain window glass. Window curtain covers only half of the window. So there was privacy issue. Bathroom could be a little more clean. Only one hanger provided. Room was full of mosquitoes.

The free breakfast was not up to standard.Most of the items were spoiled.

Breakfast could have been better. Especially when travelling with family.The AC rooms were cleaner then non-AC rooms. Expect the cleanliness of all rooms should be equal.

The room was not really what we see in pictures and the bathroom was pathetic. The property wasn’t clean enough and the staff was really rude too. Not worth the price
