Good location, nice to be by the lake. Good breakfast buffet.

The hotel is definitely not a 5 star hotel - more of a 4 star. The wifi was out most of the time and it didn't seem like the staff could really help. It felt like the amount we paid was way more than what similar hotels in south India charge.

Location....location....location. One of the best places to stay in Kodaikanal! It’s right on the lake, very close to the market, is actually in the center of the town, yet tucked away from the crowd, so you get the best of both worlds—peaceful surroundings with everything still close by. Every room opens up to a stunning view of the lake, which is absolutely breathtaking. You can take a walk along the lake, go boating, shop at the market—all just a short walk away.The property itself is beautiful and spacious, with lovely lawns to stroll on. The rooms are large, super clean, and very comfortable. There’s also a nice gym and a relaxing spa. The food was delicious with plenty of variety, and the staff were warm and welcoming. We had a wonderful stay and would love to come back again!

Connecting room....you can hear everything from the next room, and if the guests are noisy, it really disturbs your peace. It’s better to ask for a room without a connecting door for a more quiet and relaxing stay which we eventually did.

Location of the Carlton is excellent, just overlooking the Lake. Everything is perfect - Location, Staff, Food, Club, They can think of adding swimming pool to the propertyEarlier, they used to have their own boats for boating in the lake, can think of restarting the same

better provide lift to downstairs. we senior citizen feel difficult 3times food & going out by car to have the steps.last two season,we stay there only.in future also we shall come to say there.

Stayed here for 2 nights this month (Oct 2022). It's located next to the lake and offers breathtaking views. Perfect for those who prefer calm and relaxing experiences with luxury. It also maintains good hygiene standards. The property offers ample parking space.Overall, the hygiene standard is good.What could be better?The only thing which I noticed was the restaurant table top, which had stains of food. Would recommend changing the tabletop dressings the moment someone has used it. No one wants to stare at the curry stains while eating.

The staff were friendly.

we were staying at the first floor which was next to a reception hall. On our second night there was a party on till around midnight with blasting music, which made it difficult for us to sleep. The hotel might want to consider either not having rooms next to a party hall or might want to allot these rooms to the members of the party group so as not to cause disturbance to other guests.

Three main problems: - the wi-fi connection was unreliable, weak and with frequent outages. If you want to have an online business meeting or watch a movie online, think twice. - the room was noisy: kids often shouting in the long empty corridor in front of the room, workers banging etc. from quite early in the morning- I had a very negative experience using the hotel's travel agent. Their taxi left me halfway to my destination, I had to walk alone in the rain in the forest, totally lost. It took a day of heavy complaining after I finally got the payment back. Beware!

While Checking in another Group were also checking in same time.... Staff were so busy greeting that Group that we felt we were ignored.

Excellent location- very friendly staff- reasonably good amenities

The food spread for dinner are mostly of Indian variety- it would have been nice to get some continental food as well

Had North Indian Cuisine, taste was ok, it was not like hat the cuisine should be, need to relook at it.

The hotel is beautiful and all the rooms face the lake..The staff is very polite and helpful.They arrange for private bonfires for family get togethers.The staff is very good especially the guest relations executive kanmani who is always ready to help.Overall the best place to stay in kodai with beautiful location and excellent service.
