The Daun Resort Langkawi

I love the traditional house concept, the very natural surroundings and ambience around the area. I love that the toilets were clean, but the bowls could be cleaner. Some yellowish stains still visible. Atleast there was no bad smell or weird hairs or residues laying around the floor, kudos for that.

The upstairs air-conditioning didn’t really work to cool off the entire floor, it was quite warm during the day. The air-conditioning at downstairs level made so much noise and at one point had some water leaking.

Concept of being cultural and preserve the heritage factor is good . May be good for people exploring new and raw culture but for family, not up to the mark

should have kept the surrounding clean , a bit of repair to the things, welcoming environment.

We take MAMBU VILLA,aircond was superb,three bedroom all nice with queen size bed, bed are comfy,satff was excellent,only 5 minutes car ride to cenang beach.they make up the room everyday

no hot water in the jacuzzi.

It was a 2 storied house. Comfortable stay. It was very near to the pentai cenang beach, which was a big plus, as we went there multiple times to have food and enjoy. The resort was quite and calm.

There was very less toiletries provided in the bathroom. In one of the bathrooms, there was just one shampoo and one towel for 2 people and no handwash or shower gel. Plus the shampoo given to us did not smell good.

We liked the kampung style house and environment, clean and cosy, plus the interior design was interesting. The kids enjoyed the surrounding nature full of plants and flowers and the kittens and chicken. The bathtub and outdoor shower were great, too. We didn't quite like the breakfast, hope it could be improved plus it would be good if we could have a TV in the unit.

Please not clean the room if customer not to do that. Bad experience one of jeans is missing. We accept the missing but please ask permission with your customer before cleaning room. Please provide room tagging if customer not request for cleaning or disturbing. Tq for nice place but not for service ?

It was very serene and definitely a type of stay if you wanna know what malayans used to live like back in the day

It was a bit too authentic to the experience- there were those tiny holes between each wood that allowed mosquitoes to enter the villa. They provided mosquito repellent which did help.The upper room was EXTREMELY HOT compared to the lower part of the villa due to insulation I guess even with the ac and fan at full blast. Guess it wouldn’t be an issue if you’re only gonna be in the villa at night because that’s when it’s super cold :)

The breakfast is boring,the menu is very limited to one choice and u eat what they serve u.DO NOT INCLUDE BREAKFAST when you book as you will be disappointed, it is not worth it.It is very hot upstairs during the day.The AC was unable to cool down the space.A major turn off when you need to rest,like staying in an oven

Wonderful old charm feel; a "Kampong House" with modern conveniences. The entire chalet is yours.

Breakfast was a moderate. It was the same set meal every morning with no variety. However, it was good enough to give you a good start in the morning.

The environment and village vibes! Surely will come again

The breakfast setup involves a full-service approach, where all dishes are served at the table. However, this may lead to unnecessary food waste (from what i noticed). Perhaps a more flexible ordering system could help reduce waste where you may ask the customer or provide the options. Additionally, I noticed that the nights are quite silent. Having a TV in the room could enhance the guest experience by providing entertainment options in advance.

The river was so smelly, and the room was not as advertised. Breakfast was not good very simple and no choices

Staff were obliging and helpful despite being somewhat hampered by lack of resources. Had private parking, close to eateries, a emporium to get large bottles of water, milk, tea etc which room did not have and easy to get to the beach. Had a jacuzzi but no heating for the water.

The ceiling fan had a constant squeek, the stand fan would overheat after 45 minutes and stop working, gaps in the wall meant mosquitos were present throughout the night despite the mosquito vape. Also cockroach. There were no towels in the room and when we asked we were informed only 1 towel per guest. Toiletries were NOT supplied. No place to hang wet clothes. No chairs in the room apart from one uncomfortable divan. No tea only 2in1 coffee. Each room gets 1-2 bottles 250ml of water. The room were in a nice traditional house but definitely needs better insulation to keep the heat from the roof out, the mozzies & roaches out and the air conditioning in.

The staff was less . Also there are no facilities at all. The place is not taken good care off and wifi is horrible. Too many insects and cockroaches in rooms

The room are spacious and good internet connection.Many restaurants nearby.Just few minutes drive to Pantai Chenang.Friendly staff, we enjoy stay here.Value for money.

The "kampung concept" stay really bring back good memory during my younger days....kudos to the owner of Daun Resort.

I wish signboards are installed at strategic area to guide guests to the Resort.Quite challenging at nite...

When we first arrived we had our doubts though after having the breakfast we couldn't have been happier. The accommodation is a bit rustic and wasn't exactly what we had expected though to be honest everything was perfect. A surprise experience staying in authentic kampung house. Very relaxing

So little to criticize here. They could have had a bit more service though there was an excellent warung across the road so no need to provide on site cafe service
