It was quite a long wait for our room to get ready.

Our room was good, the view was spectacular, we watched sunsets some evenings with the parasailers going by. Its location was convenient, shops and restaurants across the street. There are two pools, one on the 5th floor, although small, is an adult-only pool so a bit quieter. We appreciate all the efforts of the staff. Special mention : Tanjhim from housekeeping took care of our room every day, Norizati from the tour desk and Wan our driver who took us sightseeing, he was excellent!! (we booked a car and took some excursions booked from the hotel), Elham, concierge, Azrul at the front desk, Irene, Yolanda entertained us at the lounge as well as the wonderful staff at breakfast every day. Rin, Anas and Chef Atig and the entire team from Lancava also did a wonderful job. Food, ambience and service at Lancava was great!

The umbrella shades at the pools do not move so one has to continually move the sun chairs and table to avoid direct sunlight. Small matter but inconvenient. My husband misplaced his phone the first day and a couple of people were “helping” us look. My husband was retracing his steps and I was waiting by the tranquility lounge and after some time, we decided to head back to our room. There was no word or update from the staff after us letting them know. We stopped by reception to tell them we were heading back to the room and lo and behold, a phone was found and handed in to reception while we were frantically searching. Seems there isn’t much communication between the staff. We actually did not know Lancava was situated in the hotel, needs to be marketed more, we would go again for sure.

Excellent location, amazing hotel with everything you need for a good stay.

The allergen management in the restaurants could be improved, but finally we managed the gluten free menu as well.

Other than having ocean front view access, the property wasn’t accommodating in much.

Staff placed me in a room right in front of the elevator, where people frequent in and out. I was only staying for a night, and there was noise throughout the night. When I informed the property promptly, they only offered to change my room/upgrade the room after several complaints. By then, it was nearly 11pm and too late to move everything to a new room. When I attempted to ask for a discount for my stay, management refused to take accountability and simply said that since I didn’t take the room, they’re not going to do any other service recovery.

The resort grounds were very beautiful. There was some nice pools and an adult pool. The morning breakfast was terrific. There was so many options.

There were definitely not enough chairs around the beach or the pool area. If you didn’t get out there by eight or nine in the morning and put your towel on a chair, it was extremely hard to get one. They should add a lot more chairs. Additionally, the price per night seems fairly expensive for what you were getting. Everything in Malaysia is fairly cheap, but this hotel is expensive relative to the level of service in my opinion.

The manager, Mu'iz, was exceptional and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was quite good too.

Our stay at PARKROYAL was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The hotel was spotless, beautifully maintained, and very comfortable. The staff were exceptionally friendly, professional, and always willing to help with a smile. The room was spacious and well-equipped, and the overall atmosphere felt calm and welcoming. Truly a relaxing and enjoyable stay — highly recommended!

Had to leave

Everything was wonderful: cleanliness, service, and the staff were very friendly and smiling. The resort itself was beautiful and clean, there were absolutely no insects, and the pool water was lovely.

The price is very expensive.

Friendly staff, family friendly, good breakfast options.

The adult only pool. The bed is very comfy.

The hotel is not well maintained. The furnishings are constructed from cheap materials, something that you would not expect from a 5 stars hotel resort.

It was one of the worst experience

The breakfast buffet was the worst they close at 10:30 too crowded. You have to wait 10 minutes to get your omelette. Everything takes time to get your order and it’s 1030. Everything was removed so you don’t get to enjoy your breakfast buffet too many people not enough stations.
