Beautiful ocean view

It seemed to be past it's prime. There were a number od things not working correctly in our room.

The beach and surrounding landscape is incredible.

The food is terrible! For a five star resort, I definitely expected a higher quality of ingredients and items to choose from. The buffet was not stocked - constantly running out of items. The staff need to be more conscientious of customers needs. Remove used plates from tables in a timely manner and restock the buffet as needed. Also, the hostess in the Sands restaurant was not pleasant at all! A smile goes a long way.

The restaurants offered limited local cuisine, with the exception of the breakfast buffet.

I stayed here for a few days around my birthday and had a really lovely, relaxing stay. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and the overall experience felt premium. The beach area is stunning. Wide, calm, and beautifully maintained. The adults-only pool was another highlight, perfect for quiet downtime. The property overall has a serene, peaceful energy, which made it a great spot to unwind away from the busier parts of Langkawi.

Service was friendly and responsive, though not especially proactive. The lobby area could use a bit of a refresh. It looks slightly dated compared to the rest of the resort’s more polished feel. But overall, it’s a beautiful property and a great choice if you’re looking for a tranquil, scenic escape.

- Location is far from city center and sometimes it takes time to find a taxi on Grab- Few number of restaurants around the hotel and close early, but the hotel already has 3 restaurants- The front desk doesn't fit a 5 stars hotel (just a wooden individual desk)- Towels material should be better

Water not clean, for shower or bathroom

Its our second visit to this hotel, with last visit at 2012. We love The beach and the views , the spacious room and the simple tropical vibe of the hotel. Love the pools. Right next to jetty of the Mangrove tour. Nice shops just outside the hotel by the beach. Good food even for room service. Our kids loved the hotel so much they refused to go out for 5 nights.

Far away if you want to visit the south areas of Langkawi. No kids club. But they had some activities for the kids like feeding fish. Didn’t like that the pool table is now in the bar and opens only from 5 pm. Also didn’t like that saffron Italian restaurant has been turned into a bar with few food options because it has the best dinner view of the beach. No Elevator to go to rooms so if you cannot climb stairs ask for a lower floor.

The beach is very beautiful. The staff is very kind and professional. The two pools offer a different experience. Different food options.

You can tell tanjung Rhu *used to be* a 5-star. Unfortunately, it had years of financial losses and now it’s a new management trying its best to turn things around but some things aren’t quite what you’d expect (cracked sink, some renovations aren’t quite nicely done … some corners cutting to make ends meet). To be fair, it’s also not the 5star prices you’d pay at nearby 5 star properties. So my take is that if you aren’t too fussy, it’s a great value.

The setting is wonderful as are the staff. They also use glass water containers to cut down the plague of plastic in Malaysia

We had a fantastic time at this property. The rooms blew my expectations as they were spacious, clean, felt luxurious and the view was beautiful. The facilities were great! We enjoyed the pool, beach, spa and water sports. Breakfast had a large variety of options and was delicious. And finally, the staff was incredibly hospitable.

Service was a bit slow in the pizza place . Couldn’t swim in the sea because of jelly fish

Location on the beach was great

We upgraded to a beach front suite which was a terrible idea as we had no sleep during our stay due to dogs howling on the beach all night and although we paid for and were planning on staying 8 nights we cut our stay short and left the hotel to find somewhere peaceful

It's a quiet resort within 30 minutes by car from the airport. Our room and the bed was comfortable and cleanly. There was a balcony on the courtyard side and the beach side, so We was able to relax in the balcony while watching the view and birds coming at the table. We were going to a pool and borrowed a towel and relaxed while watching the beach. The courtyard and private beach were very beautiful and well-maintained, and the staff were very friendly.

Nothing, We had a great time in our stay.
